And then 43 318 with Livery Code TSLP142. IMG_0192.jpeg IMG_0215.jpeg IMG_0216.jpeg IMG_0222.jpeg IMG_0223.jpeg Unfortunately I can’t say much as I need to catch up with some on line racing with the kids. But again you know how thankful I am to to you both and I will leave you be to have some fun with them. Because I didn’t think many would use these single units but they seem to going like Hot cakes. I’m excited to see what you and others do with them because I can’t do scenarios mate.

Oh and I just want to say as a professional driver myself I should be sacked for leaving the running lights off. That’s rushing for you.

    Okay well gotta go.
    Catch you later Matt.
    Lee.

    Evening Lee,

I am really sorry but I am not at home tonight and the internet seems to be intermittent for me too so I am going to have to be really brief now and type out what I actually wanted to say when I get home tomorrow, but those liveries are looking great and I have sent the codes over to Robbie so he can download them when he gets the chance and I shall do the same to get those scenarios set up. I really want to expand but I don't want to type a whole long reply for the internet to go and me lose it all.
I have got the flat to myself so if Laura's cuppas run out or you do want some posh frocks you know where to head to duckie! ;);)

I will catch you tomorrow though with a proper reply in contrast to this lacklustre attempt, which again I do apologise for.

    Bonjour for now! ;)

    Matt.

Damn now you tell me,,,,I couldn’t settle myself last night hence why I am late responding today.
We could have had a chat about knocker’s and all that. Ref from a previous post about the pillow talk:)

Joking aside I understand as I say mine has. Even dropped off last night,,,I ended up watching Rita Sue and Bob too on DVD.
I know its odd film but I remember it from a kid and is one of my favourite films.
So again don’t worry I know my message was quit long. So I was gonna try catch up with old post as I am behind.

I won’t send any long posts today to allow us to catch up. I’m behind in work also due to the internet being down.
Strange because if you look for any reports of outages in the area from the sources I do they show no outages in the last 24hrs.
Yet the BT box was blinking Pink all intermittently all night and has been over the last week.

Could be maintenance work tho as I am up in the early hours when most work is carried out due to low traffic usage on the networks.
I knew a lad that worked for a main internet provider and he told me if something happens say in Liverpool with a power cut to a main information centre or something I can’t remember what he called it,,,then due the the system became some what sensitive to surges it can intrude gremlins into the network. So engineers have to do re sets etc and work to find the causes.

It’s why I have well did have at my old place back up generators and a video player,,,records player,,DVDs etc you get my drift.
Anything that doesn’t relies on the out side. If the internet goes off I’ve got over a 800 or so DVDs and CDs. And good old books.
Unfortunately I don’t own the generator no more and no I am not a Doomsday Prepper either:) but still have my collections to keep me entertained when things go tits up.

Again with more interference on the network due to EMI emitted from sources like the Sun with high solar flares on communications in outer or inner low earth orbit plays havoc with our communications systems back on earth or can directly interfere with phone networks can even. Could even have effects on rail networks as they use vast amounts of telecommunications for communication and safety systems like CBTC or SISS (FRMCS) to mention a few.
I’ve picked this information up when watching a few videos etc and reading up that led me from one thing to another. Again my interest in engineering etc has also dragged me into trains but away from say looking up pretty pictures of trains. And again another case of getting deeper and deeper.

Talking of deeper so am I and completely gone of topic.

Again I don’t worry if anyone should be feeling that there response is lacklustre as you say is me.
I think I mentioned this before as you have placed a lot in some post and I am behind so please if anyone should be feeling bad it’s me.

But at the same time in saying that it’s not like we’re gonna shot each other because life or the happy rays of Sun have interfered with our plans:)

As quickly going to one of you post and in saying you enjoy these messages etc that you find me interesting.
I must say thank you but interesting is not a word I’d describe myself. A looney yes but not interesting:)

But again I won’t drone on,,I’ve done that already.

Hope to catch up with ya soon,,and where ever you have been or was displaced out at that you are now safely back home.

In the meantime I’m gonna post some work of that full set. Again so your not overwhelmed with notifications I’ll place them on the East Coast Project where to be honest could do with more knowledgeable people like yourself on there.

As I say and hopefully not sounding rude but I am behind on some things I’d like to have worked on sooner looking back now I’m in more of a better mood. I’ve put some stuff to the back of my mind ya see.
With the kids and the net too I’m completely all over the place lol.

To be fair tho I think most are like this after the new year,,,more for me tho if I don’t have a pattern as such. Dictated by work and say being up at four every day.

Right well gotta go,,,my little girl is still upset about the deliver man not arriving with her Roller Skates. Bless her,,,I try say don’t look at as bad but more as when they arrive be excited.
We was when the White Arrow van arrived as kids,,,but I’ll cut that short because as always it’s up to me to short. (See what am up against if ya get my drift).

Again hope ya good Matt and I’ll catch you soon.

    Lee.

Not been on here for a hot minute....
Been busy with mock exams and other school related stuff (which I like to refer to as "poop, that I unfortunately need")
Anyway, hope you both are doing good, I'm not too bad, absolutely knackered but not too bad overall.
Started working on a new livery today, involving the new ONE 66 that came out on Tuesday, 66590 (the first Freightliner 66 I ever saw!)
Having some issues with paints, but I reckon that's just because I'm dead in the head at the moment. I've stopped work on it for now, but will continue once I feel a bit more with it.
    Here it is; 2624d684-2bae-412f-8dc5-a208513d8487.png 48c44e62-de47-40ff-b67d-4f155aa13448.png 96c5aff5-2572-4e9c-9bf1-4743a9f5379e.png f2b43429-7573-4d5e-96bd-afc0ce6168bb.png

    Good Evening Lee,
Like I say sorry for the delay but it were all very hectic yesterday!

Lag! That will not do! ;) In fairness you the super fast stuff does make a big difference, though so does the location too. I would say that blaming it on the power cuts is likely the right thing to do as they do mess things up big time.
No need to worry about sounding rude or being brief mate, I am just as bad with being short but we both know that life does throw other things at us so they needn't be any sweat!

Off the top of my head (and quick Google confirmation!) the MK 3 coaches are:
    TF: 33.66 t
    TS: 33.6 t
    TGS: 33.47 t
    TRFB: 36.12 t

Like I say not the best of numbers but Google has backed these up for me so they should be correct!

Mange tout! Like I say I understand and am just as busy myself whether it be working or sitting here getting distracted by where particular coaches have ended up now! Scented paper, those were the days, I always used to put a single petal in mine rather than any sort of scent though people usually frown when I say that but at the time the girls at my school loved it and well it did it's job! The only issue with using pen and paper is that my hand writing is abysmal, but again it always seemed to do the job.

It is rather strange and I suppose in a way upsetting when children essentially form these addictions to the phones and games but as you go on to say if they don't have access to the phones or video games they are an outlier in society which is likely not a pleasant thing in the modern world as it were back in the day. I suppose the fact that the energy is not being used up is one of the major negatives of video games and so I would imagine that rather than struggling to stay away in the evening they are struggling to go to sleep! A very good summary of society there and unescapable as we all fit within it somehow.

I am sure at the time there were also many, many other things to think about and I suppose at such a young age the job you had were not high on the list of priorities. It is good you do want to and are still on the lookout for a the right job: a dream is more likely to come true if you have one to follow in the first place. That is what is brilliant about the industries we are in not one day is ever the same as any other, I mean I have never worked a single day of 9-5 in my life and would never want to. One day could be the best in the world but the very next could be a really LOVE one but that again is what makes it so much more interesting. I am not going to complain about money at all as I am very lucky that the job I have and love is well paid but you couldn't make me go and work in an office 9-5 for double or even triple that because I do love what I do. I am sure you got this with the coaches but the satisfaction I get out of making that small difference in someone's life by getting them from one place in the country to another is off the charts. That sounds like a proper good trip to remember, though perhaps not so much for that poor Scouse lad and his gentleman's sausage! It is things like this which make these jobs as good as they are.

Yes teachers do take a lot of rubbish in comparison for the money they get, and then all the extra hours they spend marking and planning etc. Like I say even though it is only a primary school I have gone in to help out on Sports days/as Fr Christmas (I always need a few cushions which makes me happy enough ;)) both before and after lockdown and even I saw the difference in their behaviour and manners just in the space of a couple of years. It has hit me hard mate, though really I think you're just making me jealous- what if I chuck a packet of rich tea biscuits into the mix! ;);):D:D

I suppose there is only one way to find out how things would go in 'the real world' but as long as you build your confidence up and don't just jump in at the deep end that would certainly help. I am sure something will slot into place for you at some point soon mate because you do seem willing and want to get back out there I suppose. What you say about your son's teacher could be this opportunity, who knows!
It is clear you enjoy doing this mate or else you wouldn't spend as much time and go into as much detail as you do on the liveries. Yes, having a group where all different realms of information could be shared would be very useful as my knowledge is limited to stuff that has been on the ECML (and MML during the late 80s early 90s) and even then there will still be gaps within it. Sadly though faultless is near on impossible, especially with the 1000 layers limit imposed on us. It is a shame to hear that you feel thrown to one side especially when the reason for it were very much out of your control, but it is also good that you get that satisfaction out of TSW and haven't just said 'balls' and given up. Luckily, likely due to the relatively small age difference, me and my son have always been very close but when he turned 16 was when we really bonded and began to have more of a man to man relationship which really brought us even closer, so once yours are past that age hopefully similar will happen for you too and they will appreciate a proper conversation.

I would love to do more liveries and scenarios than I do now but like you say the amount of time needed compared to the time I have, especially considering I need to get eating, sleeping, taking dog for walk, showering etc into that time is very little. It is very clear the time, planning and research that you and other creators put into the bits though and does just further prove it is passion not a pain. It certainly is a very important and in fact key part of the game for many and so I do feel it needs to be taken seriously. I am not sure how many hours I spend doing what to be honest but like I say it depends on the day I have had. Sometimes I'll come in and want a proper immersive experience so drive the good old BR diesels, other times it'll be liveries/scenarios or if I just need to relax with very little concentration I will fire up ECML and just do an Azuma run as (believe it or not!;)) I do know that route well enough that I do not need to be staring at the screen constantly in the height of concentration to play it. It is weird that simulating doing the day job helps me relax after getting home from the day job, though back at the end of last year this were the last thing I wanted to be doing after the OHLE issues on this section in real life causing havoc!
There are certainly ways to improve but I think the updates to the whole creation part of the game does show that they have not totally given up on it.

This were an issue introduced to the HST when it became livery designer compatible nearly a year ago I believe isn't it? It is things like that which do wear me thin because I had the exact situation you describe happen to me where I had heavy rain chucked on me and the wipers failed to work meaning I just gave up the run as I stopped enjoying it. DTG can be very intermittent with communication and so far in 2024 have actually been rather poor if I am being honest. like you say there is always a reason though.

I suppose it is better than both you and them are aware of it, though I do suspect that this instance is down to the railway having too many liveries, letters and changes. Old age! You ain't seen nothing yet! It does do some rather strange things but I suppose there's nowt that we can do to stop it really.

Anyhow I must dash and again those liveries do look great.

I have read your other post but am going to have to reply to that one tomorrow as like I say I spent about half to three quarters of an hour just looking at different data bases halfway through typing this, clicking on the wrong tab!

    Catch you tomorrow mate!

    Matt.

Good to see you back and hope all the tests and whatnot all go well for you.

No problem, I need to dash too.. way past my bedtime hahahaha!!
I'll keep you updated for sure, thankfully the Freightliner livery is fairly easy once you've got the colours right, as there's nothing complex on it.. thank god! :P
Yeah, they were only mocks but I'm done with them now, just got a long, dreaded wait until the proper ones.
    Catch you soon!

Hi man not an issue I understand,,hope things are going well. You might think it’s poop but as I say to my kids you need to do school or the rest of ya life could end being poop:).
I wish I kept me head down anyway. So as an older man that messed in school,,then take it it from me they are the most important even tho difficult.

Moving on that Green looks okay of the top me head. Not sure if the warning line on the roof is right shade tho. Yet if your heads up ya backside I’m sure when (Edit) pulled out ya get back to grips with it. But yes mate it looks good especially that colour. Looks a nice model to.
I’ll have to see if I can get it.

There’s a few I want but just don’t the money.
Again good model but it’s a 66 still. How many 66s do we need. Why not use a ex passenger unit say a Class 91 as it was used on the ECML and now on freight services. Anything but another 66.

In fact if you read some post you may see what Matt has mentioned grey squirrels,,,for which I asked Matt why this as a description for a 66.
When it told me it made sense. There not native to the UK as you will know there by GM later EMD built in Indiana and Imported,,hence rendering the old work horses useless or surpluses to requirements. Like 37s and 47s. The 66 took over and can see why some may dislike the 66 for that reason,,and by strange chance seems to be taking over on TSW too lol.

Shame as I am no expert but take the ECML. DTG have released it and from my basic understanding chosen the wrong part as the southern part would have been better for having more mixed services etc.
Again am (Edit) no expert but you would think that they would make a route hammer it with new locos for that route.
As you can tell I love the ECML and the Electric traction seen,,such as an icon as the IC 225 again the 91. I just love the design it’s so masculine yet elegant.
Reminds me of Concorde in a way with the white body.
As you can tell I appreciate design and would love to see them.

All that aside this look about right there and I look forward to seeing it. It will do well because I’m not making any:)
Just kidding mate,,,you now what I mean if I’m not taking over not like I am the only one.

Going back to our first conversation about what to make etc,,and what my son said once.

So yes show me your work when ya can mate,,but I know ya busy lad:)

    Catch you soon Elliot.

    Lee.

Hello,,,no worries my friend,,I appreciate you even thinking of taking the time out of you day.
    So all good my friend.
And yes it was the best excuse I could come up with:) Yet I do wonder why high winds can keep cocking up the networks.
The power issues are the most probable cause as I say you may not have a local issue but an outage somewhere else can effect your area.
My son Alex the eldest is obsessed with the network as he plays with users across the seas and at home in the Uk so that ping and is important as they can’t have lag in game.
When we tried on line playing say Wreakfest a few days ago the lag is horrible. It was around 1600 to 3000 ping my son was telling me it comes up when selecting ya cars you see. We just quit and was the day it went down or played up so half way through pages would freeze:(
So yes normally it’s not an issue tho we could fit a booster or loop to help increase the signal around the home but if it’s the networks then nothing much anyone can do really.

Oh Matt again thanks for that,,I’ve been trying to get some data and this will help massively. I noticed the weights on stock as all being the same and I knew that couldn’t be right. I’ll try to put right but if you get chance tonight to join me on twitch if you have an account. I can show you and even talk directly to me,,so I can save time and explain a lot quicker than in writing. I’ve got it planned for half hour starting at 10:00,,,kids might be in bed. It may be longer tho so see how it goes. So yes just thought I’d mention it and I do hope you can join me.
I have left a link on the ECL thread:)

If you could it would be fantastic as I will be going around the livery you helped me push to this level so I’d love for you to be there but again I fully understand my friend. Here’s a quick peek,,,I’ve left a few things so if anyone joins me tonight we could possibly discuss what users like and don’t like before release.
    IMG_0262.jpeg IMG_0263.jpeg
As you can see I’ve used 43 257 so would be cool if you could join seeing it was part of you life but again I understand if not and so I will move on:)
Don’t want to sound like a Salesman now do we.

Hahaha my life we’re starting to talk that much French I’m becoming home sick lol,,,What a pair off Plonkers Aha:)
And man that doesn’t sound good,,,again I wish I could talk more about what you face day today and why I appreciate you taking the time after a long day. Not only be,,,,sorry Matt one sec..,..

Yeah, I know you need school.. your point is the same as mine, it's either poopy school now, or poopy life later......
Appreciate all that, the green might be a bit too light, the yellow is alright, as is the yellow on the bottom sides.. the orange lines on the top side (unsure of proper name) are way too yellow, that's a definite. Will continue work on it tonight as I feel a bit more alive now. ;)
Yeah, it's a nice model for the 66, I really want you to get it so you can make a certain livery I would like (66747) as it would be the correct model this time, and not one with old halogen lights, which isn't accurate haha! So there's another project, buy that pack and made 66747. Hahahaha!
Yeah, the 66 is repetitive, but I'm a softie when it comes to freight, shove any freight pack in my face and I'll buy it. Class 91 would be a brilliant addition to the game, definitely a good idea there mate, and one I'm sure a lot would agree with! I see what you mean about the Concorde part too!
Again, thank you for the help with this livery, won't be doing much today, just changing the colour a bit, maybe adding the danger stickers and the TOPS number and that'll be it, not trying to work myself too much with how tired I am, even though I am better than yesterday! Hehe....
Anyways, gotta go! All the best, thanks again and speak to you soon!
    Elliott.

Hello sorry about that,,,had a call from school to see if I could pick him up so I’ve had to just venture out the house for first time.
Wow it’s so big out but why does everything feel dirty and just heavy to breath. Glad to be back home.
Just had to go collect him because his legs hurts again. He’s wearing shoes for first time so just being a big girl as always.
    My daughter is tougher lol.

I forgot where I’m up to all flustered now,,,That’s it I was saying I appreciate as always because not only working life but home life to.
But if this is becoming something as part of my day or evening like it’s has for you. I try and make allowances now but hard so yes moving on as again don’t want to feel I’m rambling on and as you say no sweat.

Wow you posh git with your Roses and Petals,,,,,a proper smooth operator,,,cool song:)
I personally don’t see a problem I mean looking back I wish I had pocket money but robbing them of a traffic roundabout was the nearest to Interflora flowers the lucky lady was gonna get. I know what ya mean with the hand writing too as mentioned with dyslexia I was getting me mum to write them. Sometimes she would buy a Box of Milk Tray to help when she could. But I gave up because the girl would take them and run hahaha.
Good Job I wasn’t dressed up like Russ Abbot, Aka Basildon Bond:)
Maybe that’s where I was going wrong. I should have fitted a bathroom and bought her a Cadburys Flake.

Yes it is a shame about what goes on but without me going down the political or any form of say man’s clubs or cults.
I am very opinionated about these things and also can’t say too much because this is not the place for my personal opinions. They will fall out if I go on.
But quite simply your right. Things change from generation to generation I get that but left unchecked it can lead to a load of problems.
Take the shortage of personnel in the Armed Forces. Are kids to lazy to fight or feel they have no reason,,,maybe kids have seen war is bad.
We have even had vessel fitted with throttles wrongly on old mine sweepers over seas with some very costly repairs if carried out and not scrapped. Other incidents within the RN that is quite embarrassing on the world stage.
Either way this generation has a lot to contend with,,,and it probably won’t be long before Biden try’s to get the Uk to start some form of NWO again and pollute the minds of the young with war on the East. It’s a big game and again I will end that one.

Not being rude but I know I’ll go on. The world can and is a depressing place so don’t want to add to it,,,by giving you or the community the 3rd Degree;)

You’ll have to pay good money for that inside information.

On the Job front it was like you say and I did have dreams or young aspirations to be a Navel Architect,,,I was obsessed with White Star line and Titanic,,Olympic and the 3rd Sister Ship Brittannic. Harland a Wolff in Belfast and also the links with what went on with the main men. Du Point and his merry band of men. Not Ismay. But a lot of dodgy dealings and insurance fraud.
A lot of dream and passion that if followed with being such a problem child then the outcome with anything could have been different.
Normal Jobs to be done etc but as mentioned just feel I want to follow my dreams I had as a child.

I never thought working in a office or being on the road doing what we do dealing with passengers,,,brake downs. Anything that using road or rail infrastructure can get interrupted which like you say seem LOVE at the time but when we look back with some we wouldn’t change for the world.
Again and we share the same sentiments and I feel is sign of our characters that we love being involved with the travelling public. There easy pax and difficult ones and why I feel we have to be crazy to do these jobs. We have to split ourselves in two the amount of variables that are involved. Again no money in the world can replace having a laughing about a gentleman’s sausage,,,you watch Clarkson too much:)
up a Swiss mountain pass at 2am. No money in the world can and still today gives me a right laugh.

To be honest and slightly of track but I’ve found by us talking like this I have been feeling more normal and as mentioned is so enjoyable chatting I just feel by rambling on I’ll take too much of your time even tho you don’t mind and enjoy these chats.
And time in general is an issue because if I relaxed I would be here all day. I wouldn’t wish that on anybody tho mate. I have to live with myself which is fine because I’m never bored. In fact I can never switch off.
But again your right without love then I’m sure you’d just a be a grumpy old man like we had at our place.
As a manager of these drivers I felt when watching how they interacted with passengers did make me wonder if they was fit for the Job.
Nothing personal but for some these passengers travelling could have been their last trip. I know it was for many. So they didn’t want a miserable driver that instead of helping passengers as he should on board or be there for if anything went wrong was too busy having a LOVE (What) Edit? Okay Cigarette,,
and arranging appointment with lady’s of the night.
Any other reason why I tried to be a friend or keep my ears to the ground. If I could help a driver that was struggling with outside issues be a divorce or what ever it was effecting his work. I’d notice if things was up from the dress sense and overall conduct. You would notice a drop in performance and tone in voice. And why going back to previous conversations why I’d try make life as easy as a could and be there if they as a grown man wanted to talk.
Obviously if it was something that was a major concern for say safety of the public or his own welfare then we would bring them in for obvious reasons and have Tea and Biscuits.

Talking of biscuits as again if I’m okay not to ramble on about the education system again,,,as you have my full attention now your tempting me with Rich Tea,,,if you have any Fox’s Sports biscuits I’ll be with you in a flash mate. They was nice,,,so yes if you have them then you’ve bagged ya self a Stud;) No need for fitted bathrooms or Petals for me mate. Just a brew and sports biscuits and thats us sorted. We can settle down somewhere quaint. Haha.
Don’t worry it’s just my strange humour I’m not a backstreet boy;)

Oh don’t this is it,,,I found myself being quite happy and joking a lot.
I’ve always been one for well over stepping the mark but hey it’s all in good fun. A bit of banter that a I miss so much.

Glad I’m conversing with professionals piss artist:)

Again just me laughing to myself yet as I write I’ve got the kids pestering.
So I will end there and be back soon Matt.

Until then try not to piss ya self with laughter or fall over in hysterics. I know I nearly have,,,damn bladder.

    Catch you in min,,,,

Me,,,your future spouse. (Depending on the Biscuits) That’s Key. Lol.

Hello again I bet ya getting fed up of me lol. So I’ll try making this one brief. You already have a long essay from me and I know we got the hots for each other but hey we have to face facts. Your married and I’m stuck lol.

Sports biscuits or not I can’t be seen as breaking a marriage up. Sorry my friend I’m on a high tonight,,,I’ll probably be crying later with no views:(
So I’m just trying enjoy being happy for once. Hopefully not at anyone’s expense.
    You no I’m just kidding.

Getting back to your message about confidence,,,I think by talking to it’s helped and also hopefully in time as you say I can build that relationship up with my children,,,I already get on with all my kids because without divulging to much personal information some things are left up to me. We get on me and Laura but when it comes to say heart to heart stuff or working things out by talking it is non existent.

I most certainly haven’t got no one around to talk to be deep philosophical conversations or even talking about liveries or trains in general so I can learn. Again I may have gone over this in the first part of the above and do feel sometimes that comes flooding out which is not fair on you.
It was never my intentions and maybe just me trying to get back to the real world the best I could.

You have helped massively a few of you have and must say I never thought about the community or the responses because again it wasn’t on my mind or thought about it.

Again the situation and my last ditch efforts to try do something I love and share so I can learn so the liveries produced get better and by some strange turn of fate,,,find a Job in this field.
Not gonna happen I’m not delusional even tho at times I come across as so.
Again going back to growing up and supporting my family. It’s not about my happiness but theirs.
Don’t even know where I’m going with this,,,but all that you say has been taken on board and does help in so many ways.

Take tonight for example,,,,probably why I can’t concentrate because my mind is racing away. Why I’ve tried to stay away from certain topics today again hopefully without coming across as rude.

I’m trying to be upbeat and jokey,,,so I’ll see where I’m up to with the rest of your message. If I do have to cut this short it’s only due to home and getting shorted but without getting all stressed out and that. Me Cat Merlin has been out for over two days and do you know when ya get that cut feeling something is wrong I do here now he’s not back. Please Merlin come home lad. I got some ham.
Moving on tho getting upset,,,bloody hell.

Anyway it will be my first time ever doing something like this and again is a sign by talking to you I have gained some confidence. I have you to thank for this and why yes I may not been able to get back to most of your messages I think I’ve even missed a few or not liked. But wanted to put efforts into the motors you enjoyed with Robbie. To do them and you both proud:)

And this is it ya see,,,,I know your lead a normal life but I don’t as such. I do things around the house etc as I can’t stand mess,,,I’m always at home ya see. But I may miss meals or not even leave this room some days. Why I am always amazed at those that have a life yet find the time to do liveries or Videos etc. I think it helps if you know a lot about trains in general. I don’t as mentioned.
So the research can and does slow me down.
Again trying to keep this brief now but yes I don’t think DTG have given up yet that’s clear to see. And yes the communication has been some what poor even I’d go as far and say there whole demeanour has altered. Not sure what it is but feels like something is in the Air.
I know for one person his mind might be concentrating on other side projects,,,again I may be aware of things the wider community doesn’t know yet. But I promised and shall keep to that yet try help them add to rumours. Damn I hope I don’t get in to trouble.
As Manuel says, and quote “I know nothing I’m from Barcelona”.

It’s cool you can relax tho playing the game either way. Something i wanted to do with LPC but kept derailing me so I couldn’t relax to that.
Situations you have faced I found can total leave the user feeling what’s the point spending time to relax if when trying to do so find the game crashes or a silly bug shows up.
Complete ruins the experience and trust in the product as a whole I feel.
But yes I find it interesting that you drive for a living and then do it when home. Mind you I suppose like the pilots they want to know route and things along the flight path or strange side winds or ground turbulence at certain airports say. You may like to keep things fresh.

For I will have to go my friend,,,but I find it so fascinating you know these routes because at speeds and at night if ya don’t know the track then with no information on screen as I like to do you may over speed. It’s so hard too see rather that’s the game or is like this in real life.
It is a brave thing to do. So route learning is important,,,I don’t do a lot myself but do know when to slow down in some places for say the bridge when leaving Doncaster going up line to Peterborough. I’m I right with the up line down line. Up line is towards the major city and down line away is it? See I don’t know the basic stuff. In fact I can’t remember the last time I was on a train. Probably Sprinters or the Class 158. I’d go from Warrington Bankquay to Earlestown Station. Mad because when I was built like Arnie rode my bike to my then girlfriends in Earlestown passing a abandoned building. Which had Vulcan Foundry on it. I later found out I was passing the Factory where many locos had been built. I thing it’s house now but I remembered it well. Under the bride though a little bungalow estate of white and then over a Brooke up hill passed the Vulcan foundry. The rail way on the right. I believe the train or class 40 that was involved in the Great Train robbery had something to do with that line new Between Warrington and Newton. I remember Dave telling me about it as a lad. Could have been something to do with mail in general as the parcel shorting centre is near by. Just by Eddie Stobarts if that still there. Been so long.

Anyway I’m sorry for going on there I’ll have to go my friend. I’ve probably just wasted half hour tho talking LOVE.

Again sorry I’m just all over the place.

You know I’ll catch ya soon Matt.
    Speak soon.

    Lee.

The livery is all done! Unfortunately there's a bug where some decals on the front, will appear on one of the sides, which is infuriating. (Look at picture 4, on the "Fr")
Other than that, I think it looks pretty good! :)

    Hi Lee.

We could have had a great time! ;);)
Internet does seem to have deteriorated recently for many people, I even struggled to get it on the train today, though it is never particularly great there anyway. Don't worry about the length of the message, I have just had a bloody busy week so haven't had the time I had in previous weeks.

I suppose that it is all electrical and electricity can do weird things when it is interrupted so I would imagine the knock on effects are rather significant. It does also make sense they do the majority of maintenance at the night time which is when we are noticing it. Perhaps that is why it seems like it is becoming worse.
I must say the Netflix and Britbox are good but sometimes you just can't beat a good old DVD as you know it won't just stop halfway through or only have a limited time to watch it. It is strange the impact things can have on other things and especially when much of society, including the railways relies on communication networks when it goes down the impacts are rather large.

Everyone is a bit of a looney but not everyone has an interesting story to go with it and you certainly do, I really do enjoy these nice chats every evening.

I will go and have a look at that EC project thread then mate, though after scrolling down the screenshots you have since put on here are looking lovely!

I hope the roller skates arrive and are being used well and safely enough.

    Catch you in a minute!

    Matt.

It is much better than my reasoning of "why not" though! I am surprised the mrs didn't put up some sort of opposition to be honest!:)
Yes, as I think I may have mentioned we live in a village in the middle of nowhere and than we have the railway with OHLE out the back which can also have an impact apparetly. that's why they moved the thing to the front of the house rather than the back. Sorry for the vagueness but I honestly don't completely understand how all the WiFi and that works so my knowledge is very lacking! i would imagine you do need a bloody good connection to play online with people overseas though.

I am really sorry, I only got in about 10 so wouldn't ahve been able to join, that is if I knew what twitch were in the first place! I may get my son/daughter to see if they can set something up on there though for stuff in the future. Sorry I couldn't be there but hope it went well enough for you mate. It is a very nice gesture of you using 257 and I appreciate that a lot! Also I am loving the changes you have made: I think this is my favourite version yet, you have got this looking really professional and sweet.

Haha, yes the most French I have ever spoken, I forgot I were sitting in Lincs for a minute then too: thought I were in Leon instead!;) We are a pair of right plonkers! :D
Like I say I love coming on here after a long day, it is just part of the job, sadly when you are moving at 125MPH on metal rails with metal wheels things will go wrong and you can't stop that happening. One of the best quotes I were told is, 'The money we make is not from driving the train, but reacting to and keeping things safe when it all goes tits up' and he were very right. Luckily 95% of the time things a flow without major issues and I do love what I do.

    Catch you in a mo...

    Hi Lee,
I were walking around London the other day and I actually thought something very similar, not the greatest walk out but I would imagine just as good for you. Which lesson did he have that he didn't like then! ;);):D:D

I did like to charm! Absolutely brilliant song. I will be totally honest that the petals were less mine and more permanently borrowed from the house across the road, well until I sent one of these letters to their daughter and I had to change to a house round the corner! No harm done though not the best example to set! I did try chocolate once but it didn't work so I went back to my 'borrowed' petals! That reminds me I haven't had a Cadbury flake for a while, mmm I think I know what I may treat myself to tomorrow...

Yes, again I don't want to sway into politics, but I do feel the difference between generations really is stark and if things aren't controlled properly things could go downhill fast in the next couple of decades. yes having two of your own war ships colliding is not the sort of image we need especially with all the action going on at the minute, though I will stop there as I really don't want to make any sort of political opinion on here.

that does sound very interesting about white star line and the Titanic, a very interesting topic which I suppose still has a lot of mystery about it to this day. A bloody good film though were Titanic, though that is a totally different topic!
Yes, like I say passengers can be the best or worst thing in the world and we need them if we want our jobs. You do meet some bloody good characters as I am sure you will know! Just imagining that situation you describe makes me chuckle so I would imagine you do love it. Haha yes I have been watching all the old top gears on Dave recently, how did you guess! :D

It has been nice to talk to someone who has had a some what similar experience in life to me too, and don't worry about time mate, that's for me to manage and worry about! It is good that you keep yourself occupied and don't just do absolutely nothing as it is good for mental health and all that good stuff.
yes as much as we complain about passengers they are people and do deserve to be treated with respect and a smile because even if your day is going bad, theirs may well be worse and by reading that sadly for many passengers it were much worse. It is amazing how far a smile can go. I have never been able to do smoking, tried it once in the schools loos at about 14 (I think, it were a long time ago though!) and just nope. Never touched and never will touch a cigarette again.
You do sound like a proper good manager mate. It is strange you mention being able to tell how drivers lives are going as back in the 00s when the team I support were relegated to League 1 I had a driver manager ride along with me and as we stopped in Kings Cross he said "Forest fan?" to which I answered yes and then he said "leave that frustration at the stadium lad, when your in this cab forget about it completely" and you know what when I thought about it I were genuinely driving more aggressively than usual as I were really bloody angry with it all. He were a good bloke, though I have a feeling he may have passed on now sadly. Anyhow I went off on a tangent there, luckily I didn't need tea and biscuit son that occasion!

Afraid the options are rich tea, bourbons or chocolate digestives. I am glad that has got your attention though mate, what if I chuck in a tin of baked beans and sausages on toast too!;);) Would the garden shed be quaint enough, it is a big one 12 by 10 foot?

No it's brilliant mate, humour has to go well over the line to be funny, when I read this I were drinking my hot cocoa and spat it and and wet my pants! :D:D Still trying to properly compose myself now!

Catch you in a minute Darling! ;);)

    Matt.

Fed up! No way mate, just fantasising about what could have bee. I think your Laura and my Abbie have still got their men to themselves! :D:D

Like I say I am sorry about no being able to do the Twitch thing but I didn't have a clue what it were until about an hour ago! happiness is always good mate, I know we are both only joking, you couldn't pay me to leave the mrs truly, I do love her!

Like I say this has really help me too, so don't feel that I am not benefitting or whatever, this has been very two sided which is good. There are so many things where we have the ability and the only thing stopping us is confidence so building that up is a really important thing and if this is helping you with that we are in a win-win scenario. Even if a job in this field doesn't come up it is working a brilliant in between point and hopefully work as a platform to stand on until the right thing for you comes around the corner whatever that may well be. It is nice to see the care and love you do have for your family though and it is clear how much you care about them. that's alright mate. I know the feeling very well as sadly on my way home from work last week, the mrs called to say the older of our two dogs were not well and going to vet, and I had this feeling and sadly the gut, which feared the worst, were right. Bloody hell I have even got a tear in my eye now which is a rare occurrence! I do hope the cat is alright as it is horrible losing a pet.

I really am glad that just having a proper chat and just being myself has helped you out so greatly, Robbie has sent his great thanks to you as well as he really has enjoyed using both the LNER and EMR power cars.

I suppose that everyone has a different life and different things they enjoy. I know that when I do liveries it is something I do to relax and I enjoy the research, though as you say having the background knowledge does save a fair bit of time in that respect. We all work at different paces and set different standard for ourselves depending on what we can manage.
I would imagine that over the next few weeks or so all will be revealed with the first roadmap of the year and the festival of rail thing that they do. You may well have the right stance there with knowing nothing, though I would wager a guess that unlike Manuel you aren't from Barcelona! ;)

LPC is a great route, and I don't know if you have seen but there is a thread called SoS: A realistic challenge, where there are many comparison runs on a variety of routes and how to get the best out of the kettles. That is what I have been enjoying doing most recently. It is a real shame when there is a crash or bug that ruins the run a there is just this sudden blanket of dissatisfaction over the run. yes it is strange but I do just enjoy driving especially the BR diesels as I near enough missed out on working on those proper.
It may sound strange but I don't actually use reference points in game to keep my knowledge fresh as I don't want to get mixed up. I do drive like I would in real life on ECML though make sure that it doesn't affect the actual real life route knowledge.

Honestly it is scary the how well I know every bit of track I sign but it is very important because when it's pitch black and thick fog you still need to know where you are, whether that be due to a particular tree/building or an abnormality in the track. Route learning is crucial, you need to know every single mile of track like the back of your hand in real life as you have no marker or mileage indicator to help you out. Yes, on the ECML Up is towards London and Down going away from London. This is a really confusing concept as usually you go up north but when I am at work I go down North! Sprinters are workhorses and not the worst of trains to have been on, Pacer's however! Yes the Vulcan factory were a big place for loco production back in the day, the engineering which went on in there really were revolutionary. yes it were a class 40 involved in the Great Train Robbery, further south on the WCML near Leighton Buzzard, which in case you didn't know, is near Milton Keynes. A very sad and tragic incident. I saw one of the Culina branded Stobarts the other day and I think it looks terrible and nothing like Stobart at all, it is strange not seeing as many on the roads any more.

Me too! Though it were not a waste mate, so no need to worry about that!

    I'll catch you soon.

    Matt.

You have got it looking very good there mate, in those screenshots, just those final adjustments now I suppose. Well hopefully they went well, but even if they don't as long as the proper ones are all skippie you'll be more than happy. Just think 6 months or so and they will all be done and dusted.

Hi Matt sorry for this but I’m done,,,I’ve been working all day and tried to surprise you with that livery but DTG won’t let me post. I’m done Matt.

Not to do with you and sorry for being like this but again 3 weeks for nothing. I’m just done. I’m not prepared to get in this state and be absolutely heart broken crying,,,,I’ve broken down. I tried do some for good for DTG yet they blank me work. I emailed DTG Matt but what does he do. Ignore!,

That’s why I was not wanting to look but then I worked out who may have texted etc I knew he hadn’t anyway so I’m done.

After that with DTG Matt and now this I’m just done. Sorry for this Matt.

But everything I’ve ever tried the passion get beaten out of me,

Sorry to you and to everyone that I’m saying bye to the game and the community like this.

Nothing stupid but,,,,this has absolutely destroyed me. A game and then done this to me.

Thanks for everything my friend,,,I might be back but. Nar I’m done and now it time to wake up and live in the real world.

Funny a,,,I was planning on making those 43s the last ones but started marking a few more yet by strange turn of fate they are the last ones now.

    I Hang my Hat up.
    Lee (TSLP).

Damn, I know this wasn't aimed for me but I couldn't help but read it anyway. I am so sorry to hear the troubles you're going through, and I get how much it must P you off.. understandably too.
Really sad to see you leave the Creators Club community like this, especially considering I think the reason it doesn't work may be because of some fixes to DTL services, which will hopefully be resolved soon....
I hope you won't leave us on here, as you give great advice and help (Matt included too obviously) me a lot with liveries I'm working on.. this could be good for me, I might start actually making my own liveries aside from asking you to make them for me! Ignore any livery requests I've made, I've already made a 66746, as for 66747 I'll do that one myself.
I wish you all the best with whatever you decide to do from now onwards, and as I said I really hope you're not leaving this chat.
I hope you do return soon, but I understand if you don't.
    All the best!
    Elliott.

    Hi Lee,

Bloody hell that is horrible to hear mate. I do think that as Elliot said there is DTL maintenance happening as I saw a thread on it the other day by DTG Alex. I must say I really do appreciate you putting so much work into that livery for me mate.

It is really frustrating and you certainly deserve to be peed off because you have put a ton of work into this and it will be a really shame if you cannot end up sharing it. Hopefully after the weekend DTG Matt will answer your e-mail and be able to get things sorted. You certainly have only done good in your time here but if you have had enough and had the passion beaten out of you as you say, I do not blame you for stepping back one bit.

I am sorry to see how badly this has hit you because you have had a lot to face over the past few years, and I do hope this doesn't set you back any further.

Like I say I do really hope this is more off a temporary break than permanent but those power cars will be a good way to go: as long as you don't mind I would still love to make the scenario to give something back and show mine and Robbie's appreciation for the work you have put in.

Again like Elliot says I hope we can still talk on here, even if it is about more general bits like we have been. If not I just want to say thank you for the time you have put into reading and replying to me as I know I were quite late and long winded with them.

I hope to speak to you again soon, but if not keep well and good luck with finding the right opportunity.

    Catch you again soon hopefully.

    Matt.

Hello again everyone. I’m completely crapping myself being here and I will when I’m sorted respond to you all.
I also just want to apologise for my outburst or mood swings. I’d had enough let’s just put it that way.

Of spending a week on work for it to be stopped on trying to upload.

But just so you know I’ve not given up and have been working still. I’ve been working on a Tfw which hopefully I can show but it’s not being uploaded until I have permission so I can clear any issues up with DTG if should any arises.

For without going into detail I feel my work is outside of certain areas or rights when it comes to fair use or work or what I now se as re work.
Ie altering as set company logo without permission as it’s out side of fair use so permissions is needed.
And with most re works can not be fully associated with or have any other involvement with or when presenting work. IMG_0455.jpeg IMG_0456.jpeg
These are test shots but I’d say it’s near completion as all the difficult work has been over come. IE the Dragon wings around doors and the fill of door recesses. I may have to remove the football logo a hint for my sons team and one he follows and just thought it would be a nice touch having units named by the community. Again tho I can’t do this openly but maybe able to have some fun for this one off livery if 801 was to ever be seen in Cymru. But again it’s not my brand and so need permission to publish any wider or post on creators club.
So I hope by showing you a few photos of work that fall under fair use as the shapes and colours used can not fall under copyright protection. Nor have I altered any lettering or fonts other than primitive fonts and shapes that don’t again fall under copyright protection.
And hopefully I’m okay with the other items for now but again if I am wrong please correct me. For there is no association between any logos seen and may not want to be seen together.

I hope you like and hopefully I will be able to post this but I want some information or clarification from this brand before doing so and to combat issues like I’ve faced recently.

IE making livery for a friend that took over a week to just have it knocked back. Could be the same here with this one.
But I want you to know I’ve not given up I just want to do it slightly differently and in some case the right way.

I’m all for fair game and rules must be followed. If I’m doing something wrong if anyone can correct me I’d appreciate that so much.
Because I’m not an expert but found with the nature of my work now laws and regulations need to be followed and so want to learn theses so I can progress and keep doing what I love and what some of you enjoy.

Again I’m just randomly ranted away but I’m stressing being here again just wanted to get this out the way and then return when I’m not acting like a little girl.

Talking of Girls. Why are we not making liveries for all sexes if that the right terminology now.

Am I wrong in saying girls enjoy locos/ trains too but with most things companies tend to sway towards the male markets.
Be in Model making or even the games industry. Even tho in many palaces that has changed but not when it comes to Rail.

Why not?. So I have made one or two girl themed locos and I will possibly look into this area that I feel has been left out and to me that’s unfair.
So I have no clue where this has come from but if there is any girls or men that want to see more of this theme or have any ideas for what they feel need to be seen or done then you know where to come. The Works Shed.

And to anyone that has been in recent contact in any post I will return,,,I’m just shaking like a leave.

Until next time tho folk,,,please accept my apology. I do hope to return soon:)

Have fun Guys and Girls. Enjoy the weekend.

    TSLP.

Glad to see you somewhat back, hopefully it's a full return but if not then well, there ain't much I can do! :P
That livery looks great, we just need a route somewhere in Wales we can run it on! North Wales Coast Line would be great but it's not electrified yet so wouldn't work in terms of 801. Haha.
Only thing you might want to change is that it's "TfW" - capital T and W.. but no f. ;)
Hope everything goes well with uploading it and all that sort of stuff. Sorry I've missed some stuff you said, I'm in a tiny bit of a rush so can't reply to it all but I've replied to the main thing from what I can tell. Speak very soon hopefully and I'm glad you're back on here at least, even if you're not back into uploading liveries.
    Chat very soon mate!
    Elliott.

    Boo!.

Don’t worry mate I’ve not gone,,,well not gone in the head just yet:)
I had a lot on my mind mate,,,the usual but things that tend to get to me more than others. Just me mate.
But that’s no excuse so I feel I owe you an apology but hopefully the latest work that I will show you can make up for it.
Obviously an indication that I’ve not packed in. So we’re good for business hopefully.
You’ll have to excuse my all wordings too as I am little all over the place still.

But to save you from hearing another sob story from me on a open forum I’ll simply tell you it was another wobble of mine.

As per I over reacted and now I am here as I haven’t read anything since that day of my last two post. Nerves get the better of me.
I can see there may have been a logical explanation behind it all.

I may give it a shot again and hopefully get the balls to upload again. I show you in min as I have noticed another post from you but for some reason don’t show up in my inbox thing.

And hey it good to be back as I was saying to Matt myself what this all does mean to me. Without sounding all soppy about it I do get quite emotional because I never really see that I could be part of something. So it does mean a lot when I hear or read comments of that nature.

You know I appreciate it mate. But yet I’ve got a bit of catching up so I’ll go check out your work etc as I read on.
I’ve missed a lot so I will do my best to catch up:)

    Catch you min Elliot.

    Lee.

Hello again. Right well let’s see what’s going on here:). Firstly well done on these by the way they’re looking the part. I have missed a lot mate. But they look good and I have noticed that you have used the newer class 66 DLC. So it’s a first for me over using many of the other 66 DLCs so this defeat is obviously a bug.

Yet I have found sometimes decals get mirrored else where. Ie I know on one of the coaches on the 801 has a defect where if you cover the back panel or end of the unit a line will appear on the right of the body. So if I was using white on the body but black on the ends that black line would appear over the white as it would. But not with that black on the right as no decals of black is placed on the right. So to fix I cover the right black line that is mirrored from the ends with white. But then white will appear on the end just on a little square. This is satisfactory fix due to where the white appears on the end. Better there than on the right.

Same issue with the ES44 I think in where if you place a colour on the rear brake release wheel that will appear (mirror) on the right top grill?.
Exactly a decal is mirrored in a completely different place and without you the user having much control over the mirroring.

But if you can find that glitch or bug on the model as those mentioned you can work around it or the area that effects other parts of the body as explained above.

Yet why are faults and I’d say obvious ones not fixed?. Because you have placed time and work in for it to have what appears as though a Horse has trampled over it. Not you fault but some users may see it and think it’s a mistake on your part.
Hopefully it won’t effect as other will understand the wider problem as it’s not the user but a bug in game.

So I wouldn’t worry about it too much but something I wouldn’t carry on working with if it has built in defects one can’t work around or should have even to consider for that matter. Most certainly for a long period or with no fix by those responsible for model or DLC sold.

Hope they short it for you soon and for the wider community so you can crack on in confidence when making liveries.

    Catch you again Elliot.

    Lee.

Hello again. I’ll try keep these brief now as I don’t want to bombard you with messages. By now you probably processed to stage where any input from me in relation to colours is pointless. Not that I can’t help with ya few.

So when you’ve found your feet and both for that matter. Catch up etc then I can help with some colour codes.

For the 66 it is a good motor if your looking at from a simple point of view in just making liveries. Again you can with certain imports unsettle the traditionalist say. Especially with one with such and why I can understand some not liking or taking to the 66 much.

But it’s not to ugly or unattractive for a loco. And so if I had the funds would buy it probably. (If they fix the bugs first.)
And also from one of my own personal observations for the amount that is on CC and for how many times the 66 has been used is it worth the money for those extra doors etc. Because if I do buy it would only be used as most of all my DLCs just for editing. And would there be much interest from the CC users due to most 66 liveries being done and money being tight any.

Does those extra doors make up for the outlay on a model and livery created that is well overused and so is saturated.

Bit of an odd motor or DLC choice to make ask me on DTG part here. And I am sure like many if they had that extra cash would opt for an older DLC or route even. I’ve not looked at how much it cost but if you had ten pounds would you buy a full route on discount with a motor and route you don’t have or just a jazzed up class 66 we have seen over and over.

I’m speaking from a marketing perspective here.

Don’t forget I am speaking as one that would by say the ROG 37 and the Class 700 and a few more before even considering a class 66 again.

Fine if you want extra content or DLCs if have the lot.

But for me I’d say that’s a limited market because you could say because we have so much on offer newer low key DLCs will get lost or forgotten. And as you can see not that I wouldn’t buy it to help or make liveries. I’d love to make one again for you.
I’d need a newer DLC say to remain competitive even.

Yet I am not one to go along with the Rat race as such and so would opt for the others mentioned way before a new 66 and I’m sure other would do the same.

    Sorry for my rant.

Please as always don’t think I’m being off in my tone. Or even not offering to make one. You know I would mate as they don’t take too long now and in fact a break away from working on say 8 car HST sets and 801/1 etc.

I do again appreciate you a busy lad so I’ve said enough on here now:)

Hopefully we can catch up and find the time to see if I can assist you or even bully me in to buying it.
But unless I find a winning lottery ticket tomorrow then I’m knackered and can’t afford a bag of chips never mind a DLC unfortunately:(

    One of those I guess.

Keep up the good work and as I say once we catch up as it’s been some time then I don’t mind offering help if you need any;)

    Speak soon Elliot.

    Lee.

Hello again. Yes I’m somewhat back it’s up to you to decide rather that’s good or bad lol. Just kidding.

Again just had my wobble mate,,,I just get a little down every now and then.
I have to plan and work up to posting work. So when things don’t work out as planned in my mind I feel all unbalanced and so close down to try re balance again. Ie my Wobbles.

Im glad you like these liveries as I thought about doing something special behind the scenes after you mentioned Wales etc.
In fact that day has kicked me in a different direction with liveries now. I mean day as upset my wobble.

I thought back to the odd trains I done years ago before I lost them all in a save crash as I didn’t back up the save.
I lost a few pictures but found these. IMG_1406.jpeg IMG_1405.jpeg
As I say I lost these in a save crash on TSW2 years ago and never done them again as I worried about save space so focused solely on locos.

Again I wanted to do something for you and for Wales. Now without going into depth Wales is currently investing heavily towards electric infrastructure and new rolling stock as the Flirt. Yes I was like what does that mean?.

Not necessarily Class 801s but again I thought I’d try working on a concept for if ever one was to appear in Wales.
And yes even tho it hasn’t really a natural place to roam like the line you mention. Which I feel is a shame also.
I still thought I’d give it a go.

And here there are all ready to go and was hoping to load up today but something came up back at home.
I’ll go over that lettering issue to,,,,

So first livery is a test livery in all base white. I may have to continue on another post. IMG_0532.jpeg IMG_0544.jpeg IMG_0530.jpeg Now I’ll try keep it short. But the one thing you mentioned did give me a headache and glad you brought it up.

Long story short is that with the flow of the red and design of the dragon I knew I could run into problems but had wanted the position of the logo to be odd anyway.
I say problems because it’s not a natural position for the lettering nor fit peoples ideas or perception of where things should be placed. I feel it does limit design flows etc in blending the elements together of livery and the trains profile and get a logo in such a tight space.

So basically I wanted the Dragon to be the main focus of the train as then it it’s self would be recognised even before you can read any lettering. You don’t need to read the font as passengers would instantly recognise the livery of the train arriving.
Then any letter or fonts be secondary as you could say who cares what’s written as long as you recognise a brand.
I have asked for permission which have been granted for me to enjoy my passion and share with you.

I also felt by it being out of position to where most would line the letters up it was new and opened up a more interesting way of new flow lines that again which can be hindered by where a logo would or should be placed. A little test of thinking outside the box.

    And then we have this,,,,,,,

The Full version with grey added and full grey.
    IMG_0554.jpeg IMG_0556.jpeg IMG_0568.jpeg IMG_0569.jpeg
IMG_0552.jpeg As you can see a few extra details on this one over the white test version. But with same logo lay out.

I wasn’t so sure about the placement myself but in away I feel it works.
As like most designs that push the boundaries of what is expected as normal tend to be a new style of trend that can lead to others that follow. Obviously this is no way the case here in a professional capacity but in a design sense like BMW and Audi with its signature designs of the 2000s that when first seen was odd but are now considered or accepted as the norms. I’d like to think by being odd it is different,,modern and fresh.

And again feel free with a design to be more open and wild rather than try stick to the norms.

So I do hope you like the finished design. I will cross my fingers and get these loaded up tomorrow.

Sorry I am late commenting,,,I’m just trying to catch up.

Right well hope your good and again speak soon Elliot.

Woah!! That looks insane!!!! I can picture that on the mainline in real life clearer than day honestly! Really like the little nameplate type things on the cab sides, and love the whole design with the Dragon and all that! Looks unbelievably real, I can see that being real if TfW were to ever want one or two (maybe 801 114/113)! Looks so good, I love it!!
I'm trying to briefly reply to your other posts in reply to me.. there's too many and I don't have enough time at the moment, so will only reply to one thing (primarily because I've already forgotten everything else you said thanks to my poopy memory) so; don't worry about this new 66 and buying it, I can hopefully make my own 66747 livery at some point when I've got a bit more time!
Well anyway, I will speak tomorrow - heading to bed now as I'm knackered! I haven't even done much of anything!! :)
    Speak soon!

    Hi Lee,

I know I left you with a long one on the DM but that 801 with the yellow fronts is potentially one of my favourite liveries I have seen an 80x in. The black fronts do look very nice still, but the yellow just adds that extra vibrancy and really makes the livery stand out. Looks absolutely stunning!

Hi Elliot don’t worry mate I’m the same my memory is getting worse by the minute.
Maybe because I smoke myself to death with stressing out and by doing so starve my brain from any decent oxygen lol.

So seriously it’s all cool mate. I never expect you to respond to everything that’s why I made the joke about me being back.
I bet you went or no not Mr Waffles.

And because of this I’m gonna put my waffles away get some dry bread out.

    Here we go.

I am amazed by your response for these liveries and if you have time later on I’ll try do a little stream as I’ve got no time to upload today now. Your more than welcome to check over them in detail just in case you may think something is out.

May help in communicating better rather than me going over my work like an old man. With long drawn out explanations.

So being bread I appreciate your busy mate but from me I am so happy you like them.
As I say I did go away but in my mind I was not letting them get to me and so here you go.

And 801 as added with newer classification but if you feel a number or classification fit them better than give us a shout or see if ya do have any ideas or would like me to do a little stream.

    I’ll keep my eyes peeled.

But don’t worry Elliot all is good I understand.

Hope to catch ya later mate.

    Lee.

Thanks Matt just trying catch up. I’ve taken what you say onboard and why I left or changed the yellow on the say production model over the black on the test livery. Again done the tow for CC tastes. I too though the yellow makes it look more fitting but visually appealing with the red.

My son says it’s the Liverpool Football Train. I’m like how dare you,,,I’m not a football man so is not my intentions.

Rude boy. Not showing him my work again lol.

As always tho thank you for the support here Matt and Elliot.

Fingers crossed I’ll get them upload tomorrow.

I did mention about doing a little stream later if you or he wants just in case you think anything needs adjusting before release.

Again I know everyone is busy so I’ve just left in Elliot’s hands for now.

    Catch you soon Matt.
And hey Hope your Good my friend;)

Hey mate. Yeah.. the worrying part about my memory is that I'm 15! Usually it's much further down the line crappy memory begins haha!
Yeah, all was true about that 801 - honestly, I'm surprised no real TOCs have hired you as a designer!! What's more impressive is that this isn't even a real livery.. this is a completely made up one!! Really really impressive work and I can't wait to see what the future holds for you! :D
Where is it you're streaming - I'd love to join although I'm going out in a moment, and I'm not well today (been sick all night) but I'll try joining if I can!
Hope to see you wherever, if not I do apologise!
    Might catch you soon! ;)

Haha oh I,,,well they do say drinking young destroys the brain cells lol. (just kidding) I don’t know my excuse is as I didn’t start drinking until 18. Good boy I am:).

And being serious I didn’t expect you to speak so highly of this work. Just quickly you know I love designing liveries and yes this was just a hobby until my life got somewhat turned up side down. So spent a lot of time on LD and since TSW4 came out just ran away with the decals.

To push the limits and what could be seen on the UK networks. Again all I bit of fun yet I do feel it’s turned into something more serious now.

Change would be a fine thing if I found a Job. I’d love to get into understanding the business more. I have no qualifications what’s so ever it’s just self taught because I absolutely love anything technical like engineering say and design.
So yes I’d love to get in it more really yet for now at least I can still enjoy my passion and to be able to share with you.

I’m little surprised how much you appreciate them and the words you have used.
Thank you seriously my friend and hey look I know ya busy but I’ll do a stream around 8 tonight just for a few minutes you maybe able to help on old man with all this new technology lol.

My Twitch link https://twitch.tv/tslpblackstripe. I’ll have go now myself mate.

Hope ya feeling better soon too,,,I’ve got the man flu too so I feel your pain.

    Speak soon Elliot.

Heya bud, sorry it took over a month to reply..
As I'm sure you could have guessed - I no longer feel ill, I should hope it wasn't because of drinking but we may never know I guess.
Your work is amazing, and I mainly came back because I realised you had been going through some tough things and was wondering whether you're still on here or if you've left this place, I really hope you're still on here even if you're not making liveries still because it was nice chatting to you, was also nice to have someone almost in the same area as me haha!
As again I'm sure you know, I never did manage to go on your twitch stream but if you're still on here, let me know when you're next on there and I'll make sure to join you!
I really hope you're doing well, and hope you've not gone from here but if so.. what can I do!?
    All the best!

    Elliott

Hi man,,,I’m so sorry it’s taken longer for me to respond. I feel absolutely awful about how I gone about things. With you and Matt,,TrainGeek08 everyone that supported me. Hopefully you may all let me have a second chance of making it up too.
I’m glad to hear your out and about,,but I must be honest and say I was aware you was poorly but I wasn’t aware or can remember to what extent your illness is/was. So what ever is was I’m glad to hear you over it now.

Here I think it’s only fair to be open and explain as I know my conduct is not what some consider normal.
Why I struggle on here on anywhere for that matter,,,and even how I struggled writing. My texts,,length etc.
Now I know I where my heart on my sleeve but I can’t help that nor help with what conditions I have.
Or been labelled with,,,I’ll try not let it define me but I have to admit it’s in me.
Basically I’ve been waiting for test doctors etc etc,,,for over 44 years. Sorry for my tone but basically all my life I’ve been dealing with Bipolar Disorder,,,Autism and ADHD,,,and still having more test done. It’s taken them all those years to discover what been going on.
They just kept telling me it was depression and anxiety.
So no wonder I kept falling of the tracks,,be work friends everything. Why I hate sounds and want everything the same and go over work time and time again. Sometimes missing the basic stuff because my head doesn’t stop thinking.
I’m on a number of medications now to help slow my mind and emotions down.

So yes I feel it’s only fair to explain due to how I have acted in the past. I know this may sound a little bit of a cliche but I’m not using any of my conditions to be used as an excuse for my behaviour.
Like always, I believe in being open as all I want to do is fit in and be normal. (Or what some users and society believe normal is).
By being open and honest about what ever is to help myself and others understand what the deal may be.

Anyway just thinking I feel I’m going on all ready. So my friend,,,it means a lot your reaching out.
I have missed you all,,,and what I used to do. My meds slow me down and so I’m trying to see what I can do on TSW5.
Thinking of buying it with me Xmas money. So if you too are still around hopefully we can catch up,,especially this time of year.
I know some folk can get lonely. I’m okay don’t worry I’ve got 3 kids 2 cats and my Beautiful Wife (Technically speaking).
Not saying you are either but you just never know do you.

So again if your still around and anyone else,,,as sadly all my notifications went so I don’t know nothing,
then it would be great to catch up. If not then I will still wish you and all the best for rest of the festive season an all the best for 2025.

It is great to see you back!! You don't ever need to apologise about not being around, life is a crazy thing and we can all get lost or carried away within it. You never messed up your first chance, so there's no need for me to give you a second chance! ;)

I don't remember what was up with me either but I'm fine now and that's all that matters! I know exactly how you feel with autism and so on, because I have that too - it makes me overthink every single thing and it's a right pain in the rear end, so again - you don't need to apologise (to me at least) about anything to do with that, because I know exactly what it's like.

I'm doing just fine in myself, Christmas was great and it's been quite a nice and chilled time of the year.. for once! :D

Anyway, I apologise if I've missed anything out.
It's great to see you back, and I hope your return is a good one!

    All the best,
    Elliott

It would be nice to see you back, but do take your time in returning if you are thinking about it :). Like trainguy#6029 says above, you do not need a second chance as your first chance never disappeared (as evidenced by these threads you worked on before).

I understand why you have had to take time out and we all respect you opening up about that.

Should you want to continue on this journey of yours, I'd recommend TSW5 because there are some trains (Class 350, Class 390 (and others)) that you could use your wisdom on.

In the meantime, there has been a lot on my thread throughout 2024 from a previous livery hitting 1000 subscribers to making a 'Railfan-type' scenario for the first time to the 'Formation Designer Extras' series .

    Welcome back,

Oh don’t I’m getting all nervous now,,,even a little tear. Nar it’s nice to be back even if not firing on all cylinders.
Don’t want to get to personal but these meds can mess with me. Okay for the morning but wear off so I get like a come down.
So please excuse me if I do have the odd wobble.
And your ain’t half right life can throw a curve ball at anytime,,,more so these day with political climate and then social.
All lot and know doubt effecting a lot of people.
My mind being the way it was a while back took all these matters to heart and so effected me greatly.
Hence why I feel the need to apologise,,,looking back I feel I could helped myself better if I could mingle better and not have such a moody complaining attitude. No one wants to see that do they so I’ll will try harder this time.
To be a more positive person and support others.

As in this case with you,,again am glad your better but I never knew you have the condition you do. I should have known when you say sorry for missing anything out. I do the same but over think and so raffle overthink what I may have covered or not. I can’t remember or store much information either. So struggle writing or communication clearly. Again raffle.
So I get it now,,,,. As I say it’s not been long since being diagnosed,,after all these years. So for me looking back it all makes sense now. Trying to come to terms with the past and my now limited future. Job wise,,,I’m limited to driving due to meds.
    How I mix etc.

I think I always knew something was up and why I set The Works Shed up. For the more crazy adventurous type.
A place they don’t fear to come and can be open with others and speak about livery’s and trains without feeling there being judged.
This may have been how I felt or seem the situation was. A place for the less confident person say.

So to wrap up I appreciate your openness and for supporting me. It’s matters in more way than one.
I feel part of something and so hopefully as a community also be part of it. Without judgment.
Because like I with you then we just never know who where talking to do we. At least by being open we can be considerate to each other no matter what the situation maybe. Where all Human ain’t we.

Well best be off,,,don’t worry about covering all me comments. I know the score now so don’t worry my friend☺️.
So good to hear you had a good Christmas and let’s see what 2025 brings us.

it’s all exciting,,even now my head is full of work to do. So much work was placed on hold too.
Hopefully I can with the support of the community work in providing fun quality content for all.

All the best to you too my friend. Speak soon✌.

Thank you so much TrainGeek08. I won’t go on but yes your right,,,things can overwhelm me quite quickly.
Hence why I found placing liveries up on CC such a stressful situation. Add all the bugs or feelings of injustice etc then I will fall apart.
That does spill out into the public. But with what gone on recently then it all make sense like I’ve such mentioned to Elliot. (Good Lad).
So your right it’s hard to be part of something with how I was and have to admit it can effect me if I’m not careful. IE rushing.
Part of me is that seeking perfection and then anxiety overwhelming me. Comments etc all that type of stuff effects me.
But looking back as you say the community did support me,,,it was my issue in some sense that got in the way. You have all been so helpful an supportive. I will always be grateful towards you all for that.

I totally agree with you,,and I appreciate you feedback and honesty. Again just being open because it’s the situation and feel it’s only fair to except that for myself so I can hopefully mentally prepared so to speak. And like I said to Elliot be aware of considerate to others.
Everyone should feel like they can be part of something without a sense of discrimination. Be race,,religion,,or mental state.
So I do take all what you say on board and I thank you for that. It’s good advice.

And what else is also good advice is TSW5. I haven’t got it yet not even the free pack.
Without going over the past it all did some serious damage to my mental health. A reason why I was pushed up the list to see the MH teams. But I miss the game I really do and the community. So I have been looking at getting TSW5 with a few additions.
I was looking for advice last night on Reddit but not much joy or really.

What I also would like to say about DTG at the moment is how different they sound in there news feeds and other content.
It’s feels like there PR departments know how to handle or promote the company. I got a real sense of leadership and real passion for getting this game to where they always wanted it. Thus giving me the confidence to return to the franchise.
I will defo be doing that. I even did my first drive last night in the 801 and the LNER A4 heritages livery. Still have it,Yay.
The game ran beautifully,,,so sat chilled listening to all the bings of the AWS,,got to both destinations on time. Well good.
The only think that did get my attention was how loud the class 47s where in the sidings at Doncaster. I felt they overwhelmed all the other traffic etc.

So yes loved it,,,so I will be hanging up my Motorfest addiction and try swap my routine around.
I’ll will also be catching up on what you all been upto,,,but as you say I’ll be taking it slow.
For your benefits really as my messages are some what longer than most.
I’m intrigued to and great news on the Subs,,,I’ll have to check the completion out. Bit of banter there.
It’s good stuff and I will look at your work,,as I appreciate the efforts you put in and for the community here.
    I always have.

Your good man too,,so I’ll keep in touch,,,I have defo took your comments on board.
Enjoy the Rest of the Holidays an All the Best for 2025.

Me,,TSLP. Not used that for a while.

    Cheers

Bloody hell, if it ain't the man himself! How are you Lee, excellent to have you back about mate. Honestly do not worry yourself about anything mate, as the other two lads have said there is nowt to be sorry for, sounds like you have had a rough year, though hopefully now you know where you stand with your conditions things can only go up for you mate.

Only two, perhaps three, weeks ago were I thinking about you and wondering how you were doing, as my youngest grandson were getting me driving the HST on ECML when he were over so he could watch me and so naturally I used the ones you had done for me and his brother back in January/February time last year.

Hope you had a lovely Christmas with all your family, which I hope are all well too, and very happy to have you back mate!

You really have rivalled me for the time I take to reply sometimes though, I don't think I'll beat you this time! ;):D

    Catch you soon mate!

    Matt

Oh thank you God,,,my old friend is still around:). This has really lifted my spirits,,it really has. So thank you Matt,,it’s so great to hear from you. I was half tempted to DM but I still get all nervous and that at times. Plus I thought you could do without me especially this time of year:). My raffles lol. Something I am totally aware of why I did now. It’s took them 44 years tho to final solve it.
What happened last year with that Class 43 just took it out of me. I don’t want to say to much like but it hit me hard.
So due to the state I was in (You can see that in post comments) they was very worried for my wealth fair. Rushed up the list and here we are. So yes I feel a little better these days. Still have the odd wobble and that so I still need to be careful what I get involved with.
I’m on Elvanse at mo so it helps stop my mind from racing. I can nearly keep focus on what’s being said.
Again why I went on so much,,I struggled so much with remembering what’s been said etc.

The only down side to this is they don’t last long so I will disappear in the evenings,,as it’s like I get a comedown.
I don’t like it but what can I do,,,. It’s the situation now. I have come to terms with it,,and as much as I love doing what I did.
I also have to remember that well I have Mental Health issues but again I can deal with it now I know.
Hopefully doing some liveries again,,the right way. For again my conduct in some post was clearly wrong.
Here is where I agree with the lads.

For in the past everything I did was like I had to be the best. The competition in me and my OCD,,and other conditions that also effect that.
I have a few ya see and still under tests. To much,,so again I totally agree with you and the lads. I know my limits now,,or limitations.

Oh thanks I do the same about you. I remember making a few and I’m so happy they still bring you and Grandson TSW Joy:)
In fact the new formation designer may be the place for these now. I haven’t bought TSW5 yet,,will be doing. Man it’s a lot of money tho,,even on sale. So right now not sure what’s what’s. Do you use it and is it complicated?. Bare in mind I know my strengths and weaknesses. Creative yes,,,forms or major technical stuff then I am at a loss.
Just quickly too I can’t help thinking about the Class 43 LNER and you as it was made for you.
Sadly DTG replaced the front unit so I couldn’t use. It did anger me because it took over a week to do.
I felt I let you down by not getting around it. I tried my best,,by reaching at to DTG Matt, nothing and then directly with LNER but again nothing. And that was that. Quit. Think I did the 801 TfW to try prove a point tho before I left. I could get permission to mix up TfW work.
I’m so thank fully to TfW as they was very understanding and helpful. Thank you TfW.

So yes I do think about you and miss it all but this time as I say I know my limitations now. In fact I feel like I am starting to waffle.
I don’t want to do that lol,,and so for the benefit of your sanity I’ll wrap up.
Christmas was well Christmas,,,it was nice but unfortunately I had drink which obviously wasn’t a great idea on meds.
Seen me mom and that which was good. She was a bit upset tho because she felt she’s failed me by not being diagnosed sooner.
I said don’t worry mum it’s not your fault and it ain’t. It was the so called professionals. So a bit of a serious Christmas this year.
Hopefully me mum and all the family will be in good spirits for the new year. I hope you a good one too.

How was you Christmas?,,,get anything nice like a new table lol. I think was taking about tables once, sorry :).
Anyway I’ll get off. I really hope you had a good one,,,and you got something nice planned for new year.
Not long now,,,it’s all exciting. Let’s see what 2025 brings.
And Matt it’s so great to hear from you,,I sincerely hope your are well too my friend.

    Catch you soon Matt.
Your old friend Mr Nutter:) Lee.

Oh I'm still bobbing about Lee, it really makes me smile that me still being about has raised your spirits and I were just as pleased to see your name back on the latest post note for the Creators club. I know exactly why you didn't DM, but they are always open mate, and don't say that, you know I am always up for a good chat!

As I have probably said last year, your welfare comes before anything else, be it a Class 43 for an old fool on an internet forum, or your family, they can't do owt at all with you if you aren't feeling your best. It is very good that you were moved up that list and been helped out, I assume it is just taking things one at a time to find what may be causing these wobbles so that you can avoid them going into the future. The evenings must be annoying, but then it may act as a good way just to spend time away from the internet and other things just to focus on yourself. I must admit I haven't had the time to commit to making any liveries recently, but they are very relaxing, even if you do just make some for yourself, which you don't share on the creators club and don't have any deadlines or pressure for.

Yes like I say your creations are very appreciated by a fairly large chunk of my family and they have been playing about in the formations designer and showed me various pick and mixes! Like I say I haven't had a chance to delve into livery designer in TSW5, but the rest of the game is essentially the same as TSW4 so reckon the livery designer will be similar too. If you don't want the expense to upgrade, you can get the free starter pack, this is what I did as none of the core routes appeal to me very much.
That is a shame to hear about the HST, I would imagine it's one TSW's many bugs which will never be fixed. From the screenshots it were looking lovely, so it is a shame, but don't think you let me down, I didn't for a second think you would be at fault, I remember you saying about contacting DTG, and it is probably best for my job security not to comment negatively about the TOC you mention, and made the livery for! I remember the TfW 801, and it did look lovely mate, and of course good on TfW for allowing that.

Like I have said, I really have missed the chats we had and good to hear you know where you stand now, hopefully this in itself makes you feel 100x better than before. Don't worry about waffle mate, I produce a lot of it as well! :D

As long as Christmas were nice it means it can't be bad, though that is certainly a brave move to have the drink on the medicine, hopefully it didn't impact you too much in anyway. You are right there, certainly not on your mother at all, all down to the 'professionals' as, after all, they are the only ones who truly know what is wrong and how to fix it. How was the new year for you last night mate, hopefully it will be a much better year than last and all will be on track.

Christmas was lovely thank you, we had my son and daughter, with their partners, and all the grandchildren over for Christmas dinner, so it were busy, but bloody enjoyable. I have had to work over this Christmas, so have just avoided anything with a trace of alcohol, so I miss out on the Christmas pud! Hopefully 2025 has many exciting things instore, so we'll see how it goes!

It is even better to hear from you again mate.

    Catch you soon Lee.

    Matt :)

Overthinking is the absolute worst. I overthink every single thing nowadays; I hate it but unfortunately, no matter how many times I try to do something about it, I ultimately get nowhere.. over and over again. Anyway, if it makes you feel any better; I don't think I've ever been firing on all cylinders, for me whole life!!
I'm glad you have been diagnosed though, yes it's limiting you with work and so on, but it's better to be diagnosed with it rather than just living with it and not ever thinking anything of these things you do that are signs of what you now know you have. Hope that makes sense....

I absolutely love it here! Even though I no longer make liveries myself, I can't wait to see other people's liveries (including your own hopefully) start appearing on here once again, make the place feel more like, well, the place! ;)

It's an honour talking to you, and you'll have my full support for as long as I can give it. Anyway yeah, we're now in 2025 so hopefully it'll be an even better year than last year, I know in terms of real life trains there are some great stuff booked up here in North Wales in the coming months so that's already a good start to the year, having all these tours planned! Anyway, I wish you all the best and we'll talk soon I'm sure! Bye for now!

Okay trying to catch up on a few things after a year’s hiatus. I just wanted to quickly show some recent photos of the latest work.
Especially No 862 as this livery has had a considerable amount of work done in which some may find interesting or an inspiration for a new way to weather liveries in a more realistic manner.

I will endeavour to return to those that have messaged, but for now I hope you find No 682 In Old Metrolink livery of interest. Maybe someone could help in advising me on more details of this unit and it’s operational life, and what’s the situation with them now.

Thanks in advance to anyone that could help guide me on these matters. IMG_1823.jpeg IMG_1828.jpeg IMG_1827.jpeg IMG_1824.jpeg IMG_1822.jpeg
