From what was said by Matt in last night's roadmap stream, due to the way GWE was built all that time ago, it will never see a upgrade of any kind. For this reason I think it is wise to ditch this clearly lacklustre and outdated version in favour of a complete rebuild, this time to include all branches and perhaps extension to Didcot or Oxford. A new version should also have a eye towards dlc and extra layers which is also seriously absent from the current rendition. Keeping the current GWE is not far removed from flogging a dead horse at this point. I always loved GWE but felt let down by how basic it was/is.
Definitely. The current route is pretty bland, only a stop either end if you're doing express. It needs to be extended to Oxford or Bristol, and it needs the branch lines for more variety. I'd also really love to see the 800.
I very much enjoy Great Western Express seen more updates and Operators such as Elizabeth Line and Heathrow Express (AI Traffic) I would be pleased!!....
Dovetail, as the publisher, remain responsible for the licensing process. Rivet can ask but DTG still play a role.
It would be a great shame for this route not to be developed more. Like mentioned earlier SEHS has seen so many additions. Considering this is the base route for TSW, it would be a crying shame to see it residing in the ‘where are they now’ files.
