Title: Feature Request – Add Passenger/station Announcements To Compatible Content (legacy Routes)

Hi DTG Team,

First of all, I want to say a huge thank you for the Passenger Announcements feature introduced in TSW6. It is hands down one of the most immersive additions to the game — hearing dynamic station and cab announcements that change based on your location really brings the experience to a whole new level.

However, I've noticed that this feature is currently only available for new TSW6 routes, and the Compatible Content (legacy routes carried over from previous versions) does not include any passenger or station announcements. This creates a noticeable gap in immersion when running older routes alongside newer ones.

My suggestion:

I would love to see DTG gradually add passenger and/or station announcements to the Compatible Content routes. I understand this is a significant amount of work, so here are some practical ideas that could make it more manageable:

Prioritise popular routes first — Start with the most-played legacy routes (e.g. West Coast Main Line, Frankfurt–Fulda, etc.) and work outward from there.

Start simple — Even a basic version of station announcements (platform speakers only, without the full dynamic system) would already be a massive improvement. The full dynamic system can be added later as an enhancement.

Batch updates — Group announcements into periodic content updates rather than trying to release everything at once, so the workload is spread out over time.

I know the team has previously acknowledged this as a community concern, and I truly appreciate that. I'm just hoping to see it move forward. The announcement system is such a brilliant feature that it feels incomplete without it on the older routes.

They're only likely to add station and passenger announcments to older routes if said routes get major updates or full remasters, like the GWE and ECW remasters.
The only exceptions to that (the only routes to get announcments as regular updates) ar JT's Blackpool Branches and WCML over Shap, but JT did that for themselfs and DTG have never done it with their own routes.
