    Hello DTG,

Is there any plan to bring the "Train Information Window" to TSW where we can found the consist information?
    • Train Weight
    • Train Lenght
    • Traction/Braking power - min. required (according company rules)/available
    • per car info: Empty/Loaded(or type of load) + weight
    • known restrictions on the route (maintenance of track, ...)
    • + atc...

True. That is what train crews have in real life.

Absolutely necessary in my opinion. TSW would gain a new amount of realism with this feature. That would not be one of those "well, quite nice, but not useful" features, that would be a great project to develop. And furthermore I'm quite sure that adding this feature wouldn't need to much time. We just need a sheet with values printed on it - values that the game already has calculated. No big deal, but very useful.;)

Perhaps interesting, but what would this contribute toward driving trains? So far, folks have called it "useful", "a great addition", and even "absolutely necessary" without really explaining why. I'm not against the idea, just puzzled by its potential purpose.

    Purpose:
This is to see what you will drive in this Service or Scenario. Right now you only know the Loco for Services (because you have to choose one to even see the services), and in Scenarios you can only get it from the text or screenshot.

    Problem:
Since you don't for sure start in the train you will be driving, or the train is not even assembled at the start, this feature is impossible to be automatic. Not even the Route you will be driving may be fully predefined.
If in a service you choose to switch over to another service, you would not have this information.

    Solution
Everything you could display would have to be defined by the creator of the scenario or service.
It would have to be something like a trainorder you get at start of the service or at defined points in a scenario.

Nice thought but if your going to go there go a step further like how the speed limited is the same for every train on the route No restrictions on and loads heavy or light

If you ever want to learn to drive without the HUD for example, you need to know how long your train is so you know when you clear a switch or speed restriction etc. More realism.
