Hi guys, I was playing TSC last night and im fairly new to the game and its the first time I've properly played it. (Several hours flew by) I have some questions that maybe some of the TSC veterans can answer. I brought the game last year and it included WCML south, is there a scenario missing for the Voyager? I can't find anything to do with it. Also, is there any more to do with the penolino as I can't find anything for it on steam? Is there timetables or is it just ready made scenarios? Where would I find info for tsc steam sales? I'm not bashing the game at all, I admit, I was skeptical, however, over the several hours I've played, I absolutely love it. Who knows, maybe even converted from TSW
I don't own the route but according to the Steam Store where it lists its scenarios, there is no scenarios for the Class 221 on that route. You can also drive the Pendolino or Class 221 on Quick Drive anywhere you want if you have finished scenarios for the pendolino or you want to drive the 221 since there are no scenarios for that. Some scenarios will have timetables and some won't but almost always Career scenarios will be timetabled. Standard scenarios either have no timetables or limited timetables. Quick Drive will not have any timetabling as you can stop anywhere you want, but your only scheduled stop will be where you end your Quick Drive run. And for timetabled scenarios, some scenarios are made with real life timetables in mind and some are made up just for the scenario. There is a thread where sales are discussed on both Steam and third party websites too. People will usually post there when a new sale is on and you can discuss when the next sale will most likely be. Here is the link: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/latest-sale.26955/ I'm glad to hear you are enjoying Train Simulator Classic. I really enjoy this game too! I hope this helps.
smugstarlord#4202 Here is a website where you can find details of confirmed Steam Sales where they normally include discounted TSC and TSW DLCs. prepareyourwallet.com I also believe that Steam are holding a late spring sale from April 24th to May 1st, but not sure if there will be any TSC content or not. https://prepareyourwallet.com
Heyho, check out the workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop...&childpublishedfileid=0&browsesort=textsearch For me it is the 4th, linking just to make sure. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2242917356 The Class 220/221 is probably included as AI variety, at first glance I only found some for other routes. Check out Not.Silent's workshop, at some point he also accepted requests. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1440549997
You can actually create timetable-like scenarios using FreeRoams. It is possible to have you going with Service X from A to B, then change to waiting Service Y and go from B to C, to then drive Service Z from C to A for example in one session. Freeroams can have timetables attached to services too but this has hardly been fully explored. Some Workshop scenarios do this. Due to the nature of the dispatcher code, you can't have full 24-hours timetables as in TSW though. I'll create a demo scenario to show it works. Meanwhile, I suggest checking out Not.Silent's brilliant workshop scenarios. This one uses the procedure I've described: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1229295574
I have played free roams like you describe, mostly to make the game set up the path for my train. Sometimes I just send a train ahead to (a) follow its path or (b) have some signaling variety. The difficulty with changing is that you have to ensure that the timetable is correct. Being early is, you just wait a lot, like I did in a siding because there would be a train coming in 30 minutes. (Scenario: fast train first, stopping follows, then drive freight up.) Being late, however, you either hop to the other train en route, or you just missed it. At this point I think the only practical difference between timetabled and free roam is whether you get popups about other trains, and the hand cursor. Both scenario types work as ad-hoc rail fan scenarios as well, you can just fly around and look at stuff you programmed. Fun fact - in timetabled scenarios you can really switch to any AI train. I tried in decade old scenarios. Only thing is, if you don't complete a final destination objective, the scenario won't end.
smugstarlord#4202. There is a huge update to TSC for you and everyone, coming out on 27/4/23. Watch this video.
Yes, but you can still buy the 3 routes separately and I assume they will be in bundles when the update releases so if you didn't buy TSC after the update came out, you can buy one of the bundles to get the 3 routes and usually extra stuff too for a better price than you would get buying them all separately.
Hi there. Glad to see you. I have a web site where I am attempting to link all of this data Class 221: - https://sites.google.com/view/trainsimulatorcontent/uk-trains/class-221 Yes it is included however there are no Scenarios for it on WCML South. This link will show where you can find scenarios for Class 221 (excluding any workshop stuff) WCML South: https://sites.google.com/view/trainsimulatorcontent/uk-routes/wcml-south-london-euston-birmingham Scenarios are listed here. You can view my slideshows which show Thirdrail excerpts of each route) Respectfully
