mandatory purchase! HRR
Then I guess I’ll be stuck with pretending a BR182 and red dostos are the new look of IC trains
At least until we can paint the dostos that come with the 182.
Another release without a Manual...
I adhere to the principle - buy everything. Of course, I can't afford it. But - if I dreamed of 101 - I would not think about buying HRR in terms of good / bad Gravity!
For me it's reg price is $33.99 with the 10% discount it's $30.59cdn pretty much like paying for a route and not a loco addon.
fatal error, deja vu Metrix like

VR manual for the DB BR 101 (Except for the eBula the loco's functions are the same)
That's the only reason I bought it. The HRR route itself holds little interest for me. Whereas the new 425 layer in HMA has already added some gameplay interest: I actually had an ICE draw a red and a full stop in the Munchen foreyard, so that a 425 could clear the station
What a beauty, mmmmmmm, cool!)
They remain dark, unfortunately. I don't know how this wasn't fixed before release.
Luckily the price has now been rectified. Also, this was in the article that just came out about it's release:
So this will be usable in service mode on other routes after all! Even if it is just 1 route and only 2 services.
EDIT: Said article also has two images of the 101 on Hamburg - Lübeck:
Time for another low-entry Dosto rant? But I'll admit... the IC in Lübeck looks stellar.
GIVE US HIGH ENTRY DOSTOS DTG!!!!
Just to confirm, this is now fixed and should show as expected on Steam (with 10% launch discount on normal loco prices). Thanks for your patience!
Just played the first scenario for the 101 and WOW! The locomotive and intercity coaches are both beautifully done. I really enjoyed starting with the smaller set and switching services to the bigger one as it really showed off the effects of weight on the locomotive. Great job!
Encouraging news from the livestream (the bulk of which was a scenario planner run on HMA) that this will be added to new routes as and when it can be, which is unusual for loco DLC up to this point other than substitutions, and that efforts will be made to see if it can be made to run on older routes’ timetables too, although that’s not guaranteed to happen due to the complexity of that. There have already been steps taken to look at adding a cab car in the future, so that may happen at some point. I think we will be seeing the 101 getting a lot of love in the future and will end up being one of those must have DLC for the German collection.
Squeaky wheels getting grease
That’s very good news, now we all have a reason to get the 101 even if we don’t have HRR.*
*but we might still need HRR in order to use the dlc, despite owning HBK or future German routes.
You will need HRR for the DB BR 101, since that is what it was intended for, and game files rely on HRR for certain things. HBK will be an additional layer.
