So glad 2 more logos are included even if they are reused. It also explained the railpool 185 we saw in the stream a while ago

Chemnitz looks awfully lot like it has the inclusion of the tram line stops in the main station, these have not been around when the 612 was operating and only opened later... But otherwise it looks good and comes with more trains, that's nice :)

Some of my favourite images from the article:

Confirmation that the Railpool 185 is for this route:
363 from Riesa-Dresden will also be available for this route (also appears that the Habbins wagons are slightly darker than normal, but weather that how's it's supposed to be for whether it's the light at that angle is another matter).
But my favourite has to be from Freital-Hainsberg, where not only the narrow gauge line is fully modelled, but some carriages are also in the yard (please can have this on Riesa-Dresden as well maybe?)
Overall, this could be something truly great if these first images are anything to go by.

Yeah, I'm not that interested in the route itself, but I have to say, modelling the narrow gauge roling stock in as scenery is a really nice touch!

I might make a few Enemies now, but I hope we don't get a Preview Stream before the Holidays.

I think it's a little mean "Here's a look at the cool Route that we built but won't be released until next Year"

Alright, gotta say that 4 trains is a lot more exciting than the original 2. Railpool is neat.

These little green coaches look to well modeled to just be side track scenery.Could this route have more then meet the eye when it comes to playability options?DTG is know for not telling us all the details right away, and my have more to say as the route get closer.(Besides if these coaches are useable on there narrow gauge track what might be used to pull them?)Perhaps just maybe and this is a wild guess a steam locomotive or a crocodile locomotive.

I think it's very unlikely they're anything but scenery assets.
Maybe one of them will contain a donkey

How long is the route minus the section we already have in-game?

Seriously, still the same countries over and over again? Will you, or any third-party company ever expand the portfolio?

    About 77 kilometers.

The part that we already have in the Game is very short. You immediately turn left when you leave Dresden Main Station to go to Chemnitz.

Then what about the possibility there a hint of a future narrow gauge route,Hiding hint's for future routes isn't new to this game?

This is interesting. The 612 looks great, the 143 and dostos is copy pasted, the 185 has a new variety in a new livery and it’s a copy pasted 363, which is good

The title "Charming Chemnitz" is a bit funny. The locals can certainly think of many adjectives for Chemnitz, but "charming" is not exactly one of them... ;)

(Ok, you could celebrate cool techno parties in the old derelict industrial buildings in the past... )

there are unbelievable choices by Railpool, sometimes also other Rail companies (E.g. BLS) have their own logo next to it, because they rented it. For those who don’t know: Railpool is not an own Company like BLS, it’s a Locomotive landlord like Wascosa (although Wascosa is for waggons)

The mystery is solved, a new operator combined with the shunting action and unique BR 612 are probably sure to convince me to buy this route :).

Oh wow, that is many surprises! Railpool Br 185 (a new German operator! :D), Br 363, those old coaches. Great!
I like the 612 but I noticed one thing: The headlights look a bit crooked, they are more horizontal in my opinion: 612.jpg TSW2_Tharandter_Rampe_article1_2.jpg
But maybe its just the picture/ angle...

A few things I'm confused about in this picture:
    • It seems like all units will have the "Franken-Sachsen-Express" logo on the side, even though only units numbered 4xx/9xx (and a few exceptions) had them.
    • It seems like there is an RE1 running to Chemnitz. The only RE1 in this region I am aware of is the RE1 from Göttingen to Glauchau, which does not come nowhere near Chemnitz. Glauchau is a few stops west of Chemnitz near the Thuringian border.
    • One indicated stop of this RE1 is Leinefelde. While it is also a stop of the real RE1, it would only be indicated as one of the next stations if this train would depart from Göttingen towards Glauchau somewhere after Erfurt towards Göttingen.
    • The indicated terminus seems to be Hohenstein-Ernstthal. While the station name is cut off in this picture and the next display is too far away to clearly see, it would fit because of the station name's length and the name ending in "stthal". Hohenstein-Ernstthal is located between Glauchau and Chemnitz, which would mean that the train shown in the image would terminate a few stations west of Chemnitz where trains normally did not terminate.

Looks really great. :D 363 and Habbins wagons let me hope, that tge siding in Weißenborn on branch line freiberg-Holzhau is build.
Fantastic carriages for narrow gauge. Maybe we get more 750mm content in future!

Hopes the BR 185 Railpool be available on the other german routes you have!
Furthermore hopes the BR 187 be available on Railpool colors too.

Looks stunning! Nice that we got a closer look at the Railpool BR 185.6, but I hoped that we got the right Dosto, but unfortunately we did not :( (this is the right Dosto that would have been used around the time the route was set: Screenshot_20211217-174816_Google.jpg

Both Dostos were used on the line at that time. So it is not 100% correct, but not 100% wrong either.

the older variant was a lot more common to see as the newer Dostos were used mainly on S-Bahn. Seems we have a Boston Sprinter MBTA rolling stock cab case here (using the rarer type of coach)

In my oppinion a great pack. Looking really forward.

But, DTG Team, i hope, the overhead wires are only WiP! You showed us how you can do it on the Meißen branch, but in the screenshots are again the one sided double poles without the tension rope. That thing would collapse instantly in real life!!! Please delete this asset eventually from your object library. I always puke when I see this cantenary pole... Please correct this for the final version!

What is the ruling grade for this route, in terms of percentage?

I completely missed that. This route got onto the roadmap around the release of the Meißen branch so the dev team at least could have considered it. Mabye the OHLE in the screenshots is for testing?

One more thought DTG could have easily modeled and placed narrow gauge track and left it empty, there was no need to model anything to place on it.unless there was the possibilities to do something with the coaches in a future dlc, these new coaches required time and effort that would be wastefull if done for no good reason other then side track scenery.

Looks very promising! As much as DTG has to be critised for some decisions - this shall be a good one.
The 612 looks great and pretty much like those I see on my local line every day ;) I'd consider the headlights just fine.

What I would like to nitpick are those three things instead:

    - can the Dostos please run without full beam set headlights just as they were configured before DRA? It's wrong there as well and really noticable..
    - Would it be possible to change the pantograph settings of the locos when pulling cars or tank wagons? Because of the danger of sparks always the front pantograph is used here, as well as in double headed trains by the way. I don't know if this is easy to do because of some randomization in some consists but it would be great.
    - Finally, nearly the same thing: can the 143 configuration be changed so that the actual rear pantograph is raised when the loco is at the back of a consist? This has been an 'issue' since RSN.

Overall I think it's a very good sign that it's things like this to discuss after the screenshots. I particulary liked the detail of the water plants in one - very cool :)

Although I have no hopes my points might get resolved it would be great to see as well. Being used to the sight of those trains IRL it took me under a second to spot each of them, and while changing them for the player train is no problem it would be great if the AI trains could get a proper configuration as well.

I'm looking forward to the next pictures of the route!
