Oh the irony. The executives only care about profit.

Judging by the number of services offered, it definitely doesn't change my stance one bit

No differences in sounds or physics. They are effectively the same trains that we already have. The F7 has some minor exterior changes but nothing groundbreaking

Exactly what I was saying a page or two ago but got put down. They are not new locos! Just the same old stuff tarted up a bit.

I still think this loco bundle makes sense in how I want to buy DLC for TSW3 and I really hope they continue "reskinning" loco's that are already in the game.

I switched platforms so I have most of the TSW2 DLC on a platform I don't use anymore. I would want to see the BR101 being reskinned (doesn't have to be reskinned actually) and released again in a new loco bundle because I like the BR101 but don't want to buy HRR again because I know I did not play that route all that much. I can see already how many people will shout "cash grab" when a BR101 is released again but I would be so happy if that happens

In terms of sounds, same sounds. The 66 is getting new stuff in the cab to control the equipment. There's probably going to be some upgrades to each train but don't expect something massive.

Maybe. That's one way of looking at it.

But it's not just a bunch of reskins. It's also a scenario/service pack. 9 new scenarios and 44 new services with some scattered AI spread over the 3 routes, layered onto existing gameplay.

I'm not sure if I want all of it, but slice it however you wish, it's a pretty good deal.

Oh I'm sure some people will find it of value, but I'm not one of them. I want to see a genuine effort by DTG to start bringing in new rolling stock and loco assets - a freight pack with a Class 56 and Class 60, a retro CIG/VEP for BML (or CEP/VEP for SEHS). Maybe a Class 108 DMU to complement the 101, or a Pacer/early Sprinter (properly done). Where is the Black Five or Jinty/2-6-4T loco for SoS? Even a retro HST for GWE and WCL with a Valenta engine would coax the money out of my Steam wallet. Just seems to me there is zero imagination and innovation at DTG Towers when it comes to TSW at the moment.

As others have indicated the UK in particular seems to be sinking into the most grim financial times currently and spending money on anything that is not absolutely worth it, will become a complete no, no.

Why does the DB BR 101 even need reskins? They don't seem necessary even though some of the liveries that db have made for the 101 are nice

Imagine if they did put that effort into an SD70ACe, especially a Whisper Cab Variant with the headlight on the nose, then we could use the creators club to make more accurate later versions of UP SD70ACe's....

Or we could of had a version of the AC4400CW with better sounds and the number boards off the nose and on the cab....

I'm pretty sure those units designated as SD70AH on Uncle Pete's roaster. A slightly different performance capabilities compared to the SMH SD70ACe.

I don't need a reskin but I expect if they would do a new bundle with the BR101 they would reskin it so it appeals to those who own the BR101 and don't care if it is a reskin or not

As mentioned, people in the UK and perhaps other parts of the world will be increasingly decisive on what they will be spending their money, and what is really necessary.

Whilst these packs are ‘nice to have’, they don’t really want to make me have it as a day one purchase. Perhaps if it is discounted I may purchase it in the future.

There does seem to be a lack of imagination and variety to start off TSW 3 for British content. First of all we get a recycled route (SEHS) with some improvements and a extension, but the biggest thing is we’re really lacking variety in rolling stock and liveries.

This was the perfect opportunity to introduce a new livery (I mentioned the GBRf livery earlier on in the thread) but instead we only get a weathered version of the EWS livery.

I sincerely hope that we get something fresh and genuinely brand new for TSW 3 soon. There’s just too much of this ‘recycle and improve’ sorta deal going on for my liking in TSW.

Put something new on the table, something which the community have been requesting for a long time. *cough* WCML or ECML *cough*

Is the class 66's any of them even built with TVM equipped?

  19. I have no idea, I've seen a few pictured in France, I thought they would need to be tvm equipped to work in france?

at 1min you can see something that does not exist on the TSW3/2 66 although idk what that big screen is

  21. At 4.00 min you get a better look at the display. I can just make out what looks like a speed indicator or something.

Those are technically not true ATSF F7s. Their actual heritage is from the Southern Pacific, one is a SP unit, the other is a TNO unit (TNO was a subsidiary of the SP). They have features on them that were not on ATSFs F7 such as the snowplow.

DTG JD, does this DLC add a new journey chapter to each route? I see that there are new services and scenarios, but I don't see any mention of additional journey chapters. Looking forward to the release. Thank you!

Look closer at the F7 for Example. Its different from the Clinchfield Version. So, yes, it is a new Locomotive.

Hopefully they added a new horn sound that will come with the locomotive and won't be included in an update after it's released.

Don't know how they can release more dlc when playstation users still can't access all of the collection. Unless dlc manager comes out on Tuesday? Unlikely

I actually like all 3 locomotives, so I would be interested in this pack if I had TSW3, especially because I have never tried the Taurus in TSW yet. But I do have to agree, wish the F7 came with a more appropriate rolling stock.

While I can understand the frustration by some, with the 66 not being a new loco, it's actually a nice surprise to have an RHTT in game which is different to anything before service-wise and will make the SEHS timetable at least feel even more unique and realistic - would be nice to also see some further maintenance/engineering rolling stock in the future on TSW.

Just so I'm reading this correct, this will add 36 combined services in total to the SEHS timetable? That's more than I would of expected which is a bonus - interested to see where the AI services will be though.

I assume that the RHTT will only be on SEHS (TSW 3)? While I suppose we have scenario planner, I'd of liked to have seen this on some of the timetable modes from some of the older UK routes such as London Commuter, ECW, GWE etc.

If you're going to only add a single loco to Cajon why a ATSF F7? Why not something that meshes with the existing content better, even if you can't make something new I'd think a BNSF GP38-2, or the SD70ACe would fit in pretty well. To me the ATSF content can really only work if you have a whole route pack dedicated for it, like Clinchfield, or a pack of stock, like the GWR 70's pack.

Understood, but it is a different version in real life too? I am not that familiar with the F7. I mean I also see graphical differences, but are they adaptions or is it a different type of F7? As well as for the BR182...?
Are there any differences between the models inside the cab for example too.

Let's see them tomorrow in action! I think, at least I, can make a better judgement about this package than! :)

The changes are minor and it will have the same sounds and physics. A classic case of copy/paste/tweak so it's understandable why some don't view it as a new train.

Doesn't France have diesel locs for emergencies on TGV lines? In Belgium we had old class 55 locs fitted with TVM to evacuated stranded trains on HSL .

  41. Looking at the pictures again I think it was the class 77 I may have seen? A quick wiki search says that the 77s are fitted for European operation.

Yes we do have diesel emergency locomotives for maintenance work on LGV and broken down TGVs they’re fitted with TVM300 or 430 it depends and also a Shaku obviously. They’re called BB67200 based on the 67000. Currently they’re being replaced by the BB79000 ( Vossloh DE18 )

Both we do have 77 and 66 as well. I took a screenshot of a video I took in north of Paris you can clearly see the 66

Most of the 66's in france are still owned by DB cargo in the UK. These come back to the UK sometimes for periods of maintenance at Toton or for RHTT work if DB dont have enough "spare" locos.
I have yet to see a "euro dolled" up shed.

    Hentis.

First no dynamic weather for journey mode and now DLC content being released without a journey mode? Are DTG trying to phase this gameplay out of TSW3?

90 kph but when hauling one or a double set of TGV ( 383 tons for a set approximately ) it goes a bit slowly than the max speed and usually there’s two loco coupled
