I would really wish for something early 90's with some good old fashioned loco's and the old InterCities or InterRegios. Something just post unification with a nice mix of liveries (like my Saalebahn in the '90s suggestion ;)) would be my absolute dream. Don't care too much about where it's set as long as the route is operationally interesting and has the locos and InterCity/InterRegio services I wished for, but something scenic along the Rhine or Mosel would sure be nice.

    Hee hee.

The one route I would like to see from that area is the Obere Ruhrtalbahn, known to me from Zusi 2 - very scenic. Sadly not electrified so unlikely to be the candidate unless DB have put the wires up!

I'm a new fan of British rail having broken out of my US route bubble. I'm not too familiar yet with when certain trains ran on certain routes.

For those familiar with the UK rail system and the DTG route coding system, are you able to tell me if anyone of the new UK routes announced could possibly be a route centered around the HST or at least have the HST as part of it?

Such a great train, one of my new favorites, and incredibly fun to operate, only being able to operate it on the GWE line has been a shame, I'm hoping one of these new routes will give us another reason to use our HST.

I had the luck of travelling on that one a few times, it is indeed scenic, I love the entire area. I have been on many holidays in Sauerland and it might just be my favourite place in the world.

If it's the ECML set around or before 2019 there could be a HST, in addition to whatever AC electric traction we get. I can't think of many other places in the modern era where HSTs regularly ran under wires. I suppose there's a few places in Scotland nowadays but that would be a short formed Inter7city set.

Will oakville be added to the livery designer? I thought that once Pensinsula corridor was in the livery designer, the other locos could be edited too but I might have missed something.

Good roadmap and stream this month , got information on many things

Great to hear an update on the Class 43, bit strange how FGW variant it is to be removed completely, I always thought the licensing would get sorted out eventually

I also particularly like the naming of what locos come from where, should help with some of the 7ish dostos issues

quite a selection of upcoming addons, I’ll add my input of speculation to the US loco as the Acela, time will tell.

I think in the first three hours there would be 3 or 4 different liveries of the FGW one released :)

mostly likely, but the interior will be GWR where as the FGW variant has FGW interior bonus, is the issue remaining

I like that they're rethinking parts of the UI. Grey as the "Selected"-color was a weird choice. Here's a very little something I'd also like to (not) see: Could we maybe get rid of the white lines that line and diagonally cross the dark grey-underlaid UI parts at the top of the screen when driving?

I find them to be useless, visually distracting and when I started playing TSW2 found them downright misleading when it comes to the right side with the "next signal" and "top speed" on top of one another, creating barriers where there shouldn't be any. Could they at least be made darker so that they don't stand out as much?

maybe something will change in future, just seems a bit of a shame to remove nearly a whole train from the game

Yeah I agree. The livery may be history, but history has a part to play in rail simulation

Originally they were asked to remove it as GWR had started to implement the GWR Green paint scheme so they wanted the new sim to show off the GWR Livery and not the old FGW one.

I'm slightly disappointed they're removing the FGW HST (and presumably 166 too), they were fun for people in the know.

Question, if a loco dlc comes out for TSW3, is it compatible with TSW2? Cause if not, then is Pennisula getting the SEHS treatment? I can explain my line of thinking on that if needed. But the roadmap states the US loco is for TSW3.not 2 or both. there are other entries listed for 2, 3 and both.

New DLC will only be released for TSW3, even if Peninsula Corridor gets an expansion it would only be for the TSW3 Version

wait, ok, so, if you have TSW3, and get a TSW3 loco, and have a TSW2 route you use in TSW3, you can use that loco in that route? example: play Boston Sprinter in TSW3 and say a TSW3 Acela or AEM7 comes out i can play that loco on that route

Yeah so every new DLCs will be for TSW3 only but you’ll be able to use trains from upcoming DLCs on TSW2 routes via scenario planner

DTG will still make new DLC for old Routes, but only for the TSW3 versions of those Routes. The DB BR 420 for example will only be released for the TSW3 version of Munich-Augsburg

If DTG really builds an Acela for the Boston route, you will 100% be able to use it in timetable mode as well

Lots of clarification and extra info in the live stream tonight, well worth a watch if you didn’t catch it live. It’s fairly long but they did cover a lot.

scenario planner if it’s not timetabled.
Both Timetable mode and scenario if it is.

All locos thus far come on a timetable in at least one route

comment was made of a new developer joining the partnership program, and bring in a new country.

    Two thoughts:-

RSSLO bringing in Austrian content, or
Union workshop bringing in Japanese content

    anyone any other thoughts?

As it mentions a new country I would place my bets on Japan or Austria (provided wales isn’t under this category)

Oakville being my local route, I'm glad they are adding passenger services to it. Sadly JD mentioned VIA not being available in TSW. But that's what the livery editor is for. :)

Based on the route code, it's an electric only ac train so the route needs to have overhead catenary which lirr does not have. The train you mentioned is dual power after a quick search and runs on 3rd rail which doesn't fit the code.

Because they haven’t been reported yet. I didn’t use the SNCF nor TGV name in my TGVs with real life liveries on the creator club but they were taken down immediately the next day thanks to some snowflakes reporting me but at the same time other trains that shouldn’t be on the editor are still on since a couple of months now. I’m sorry I had to do that little off topic

We don’t have a lot of Overhead Electric locomotives in the US period! In the last 20 years the only ones I can think of are the Aem-7 “toaster”. The Acela express, the HHP8, and the ACS-64 that we already have. So the options are pretty narrow.

Kind of a bummer I like many others have been wishing for a P42 Amtrak long distance locomotive. It could add passenger service to basically all the US routes. They are also would be a lot of fun to operate. Basically They have great sound and are really an iconic locomotive! I can remember when they first appeared when I was a kid in the early 90s and how me and my dad would try and spot them as they started entering service. Would much rather have that than something that can only be on one route.

The Toaster AEM-7 can be modified to become it's PZB capable version the OBB Baureihe 1043 for Austrian routes. If one owns HMA Main Spessart Bahn SFS Koln Aachen you will see OBB Trains there that includes the OBB Baureihe 1043

I hope the new US locomotive will be a Metro North P32AC-DM with Shoreliner push pull coaches for the Harlem Line. If this is added, I can see even more semi express DLC services for the Harlem Line to be added. An M8 may be unlikely but nice to have, as it would require the New Haven Line to be created, atleast up to Stamford. I have a pretty good feeling if it is not related to Metro North, it may be the Amtrak Acela as this is one of the highly requested US passenger electric EMU's

The locomotive code indicates it's an overhead electric train. Which only leaves the acela, hhp8 and aem as the only trains basically. Only possible option is the acela since it's highly requested like you said and dtg got sound recordings of it :)

I don't understand why on the roadmap there is a loco for TSW3 that is for an old TSW2 route. So the train will have the headlight lighting features of TSW3 running on the old lighting of a route? Unless I'm missing something.

That model Rivet posted the other week is 100% Partick station. So praying that it was a hint at something they are working on.

North Clyde/Argyle lines is something I’ve suggested a few times for TSW. They have already done a good chunk of the route on TS Classic.

Lots of potential for scenarios and a varied timetable.

    Spirit of Steam -

    Q) Fireman - water management update
Thanks for the answer my paraphrasing, if it helps anyone else -
    A) 1:37:59 Auto fireman being worked on. Steam physics need improving beforehand, this has been half completed and released, which caused problems (steam generation decreased or usage increased significantly?). Once completed it should be fixed. If not soon, then half release will be reversed. Then engineer will return to auto fireman.

    Q) Reverser/cut-off accuracy - in game, 15% gives optimal acceleration from zero to ~70mph on both locos (tested in the weeks after release, in case it's changed)

    Q) On a scale of 1 to ten, where do DTG view SoS in terms of difficulty and where are they aiming for

ATS & TSW means we live in the last days. Interesting. I hope we will manage to see some fruit of this cooperation.
