Upcoming Release Train Sim World 4 - Coming September 26th!

I cannot see this anywhere when searching. Will TSW4 finally have HDR support? Running PS5 and 99% of games now have HDR, hope HDR has come on board.

 

HDR came out with Rush Hour. So yes at least on Xbox Series X, so I'm pretty sure PS5 has it too.

 

TSW does not support HDR properly yet.
The PS4/5 and Xbox consoles can force HDR onto it but the game does not implement it properly. If it did there would be a HDR calibration screen the first time you boot the game up to set the HDR limits like most games that do support HDR.

 

Exactly. The issue with PS5 forcing HDR is the dev lighting etc was not made for HDR

 

You're welcome! From TSW4 onwards, the addon manager will be part of the core engine across all platforms, so it is no longer a single platform tool for Playstation. Technically speaking, it's a memory-saving loading algorithm that sorts out unused things and relieves the load on the hardware. Clearly, the more installed, the longer the sorting process takes. But thanks to SSD technology it's always shorter than on conventional hard drives...

 

I think it's a reasonable price for loyalty to those with the previous version. You get the new improved game and the ability to use already owned content, which is also upgraded to the new version! Take it or leave it.

 

I agree, people are talking about TSW3 and 4 not being finished, but buying TSW4 virtually updates all the previous content, if I understand from experience.

 

Yes - why should we have to buy TSW4 for updates that were previously promised for TSW3?

You might be better off getting the deluxe pack now given the discount available. It’s likely to be cheaper than a regional pack plus the Flying Scotsman as a separate purchase.

 

Yes, as Junior hornet says the Deluxe edition on preorder is a couple of quid cheaper than buying UK regional edition and Scotsman separately and you get to play a few days earlier. This is what I am doing and I just won't install the other routes.

 

The Flying Scotsman Centenary Edition is "just" the Flying Scotsman from the launch packages as well. It just signifies when the Flying Scotsman (and the Vectron) will be avaliable for stand-alone purchases.

Scotsman never had smoke deflectors under the LNER - fitted by BR in 1961, I believe.

 

It's a pretty good bet that DTG copied her exactly as she is today, and available to photo, video and record; attempting to backdate the model would add a whole pile of both research and speculation to the project.

 

And, more to the point, it's meant to be Scotsman as she is today for use on a route set in the present day.

 

The issue with backdating Scotsman is that she has been modified many times and many ways, aside from original spec and current spec it would be very hard - USA tour spec could have been fun though - cowcatcher and all…

 

When will the automatic download of the deluxe version start? This isn't covered by the FAQ. My PS-Store says it will start "approximately on September 19th, but no time...

 

Im happy to see that TSW gets more and more Options to the Community to create somthing Special. I cant wait to see the new Swiss Route and some other Stuff like BR 232, 218.

On my PS5, I’ve had everything downloaded and updated yesterday

 

The Idea of early access is, to have it completely ready when it begins. The download of the base game worked but not the one of the add-ons. So I will have only the training centre ready tomorrow.

I just saw that on “announcements section”, I wonder if DTG finally put the good 1.5KV DC OHLE from Marseille Saint-Charles to the start of the LGV, or it’s just like Riesa with thicker wires.

 

It's just improved ohle rendering, not an ohle change if that makes sense

 

You may be the only one, everyone else got the base game for PS5 but the routes for PS4, with an error message when trying to download the PS5 routes.

I will be leaving TSW3 installed until full release day so I can drive on existing routes/trains but presumably, if you transfer you progress across to TSW4 on first load, any progress made in TSW3 in the subsequent 5 days won’t carry across

But essentially, if you delete TSW3 entirely right now then with your profile already carrying across to TSW4, all you are waiting for is the DLC routes for TSW3 to show up

I didn’t delete it. I’m on PS5, so I went into game content and pressed download to all the addons again

I downloaded the game, Deluxe, on Xbox series X... it is nowhere to be found!!! nowhere ...
uninstalled, reinstalled!!! present in the management of downloads on the store... Not found in my game list, nor in my discs!! It begins badly

Sorry I do not understand ? everything is installed. the game icon is not present in my Xbox series x game list. it doesn't appear on any of my Xbox hard drives... but tells me it's installed when I go to the Xbox store download management!

 

Correct. Only the base game is in early access. The TSW4 versions of your legacy add-ons won't be out until the 26th.

 

I bought the Deluxe version, on the store, of the Xbox. the date was indicated 09/21/23 5 p.m. I have no access! He can not be found

Xbox did not process the fee for preorder until today. I found out about a half hour before early access that the charge did not go through (don’t know why) and I did not own then deluxe version.(I owned it when I checked yesterday LOL.) Fortunately I was able place the order again and still get the presale discount.
