Steam Train Sim World 4 'international Rescue' Red Light Bug Continued Issue

I read conflicting reprts that this issue has been fixed, yet here I am sitting at a red light for 24 hours. Is there a patch or will I just wither and die at the throttle of this Austrian Train

Wow that is a long thread and still not resolved. Not good PR for the company

 

The way to annoy people the most is as follows: 1. announce a bug fix, but don't say when it will happen. 2. release bug fixes that don't actually fix the bug. 3. wait and see how many people complain, and in the meantime release new DLCs frequently to distract people from the old bug.
Does that sound familiar?

Not just TSW 5, I don't think anything has fundamentally changed since the days of TSW 2020.

Well, you are not that far off, there are a few videos I have that show the mindless NPCs.
PS: that is a nice-looking train.

 

After finishing TSW4 PS5 and TSW5 PS5 I started on TSW4 PSW4 (had already platted it) and this scenario had this same issue with the train stuck in the station and a red light

I had done the trophy on PS5 back in Sep 23, so clearly like so often it worked until it was broken.
And lets not forget in TSW4 on PS it had a plat that was "complete all trophies in TSW3!" and the main trophy for international rescue was "complete scenario A on Voralberg"

It get the impression of very sloppy design and testing to me I have worked in the games industry and I know some of the issues. I have no doubt the team are under great pressure to release content when its half finished. I would go back and fix all the broken achievements from TSW2 onwards, tutorials should all work and completable same with scenarios. You could probably forgive them on a few services. I just worry when TSW6 comes out we will have broken TSW5 trophies / achievements that wont work that wont be fixed

On TSW5 I assume unfortunately I bet they could release a fix for TSW4 versions as well

 

Finaly, the issue has been resolved. I managed to complete the scenario. Thanks to everyone who helped fix the problem.

I don't know about TSW4, I've only tried it in TSW5. However, when the scenario didn't work in TSW5, I had the same problem in TSW4. To be confirmed.

 

I doubt it. DTG basically never go back to fix older iterations of the game. A shame, but when upgrading to TSW5 was free, I guess it could be ok?

 

I confirm the that issue is fixed for TSW 5 on PS5. - finally -

 

But I also confirm it is NOT fixed for TSW4 on PS5

 

It will never be fixed for TSW4 since we have TSW5 for almost 5 months now and all had a chance to upgrade to TSW5 for free, there's no more support for TSW4, DTG even said so back when TSW5 came out. And why would they support an outdated iteration of the series, they got plenty to fix in the current one as it is.

 

But that is just it, what is in TSW5 is from TSW4, and they did say that TSW4 would get ONE last update as TSW5 was being released, but it never got that update. I give them credit for fixing ONE and maybe TWO, "To the Rescue" with BR 218 in TSW4 it is completable.

By the way, has anyone noticed that (or at least it happened to me) International Rescue, while it now works, does not count safety systems as on? I actually wasn't even able to use the in-virtual-cab SIFA switch, but turning it on with the key combination along with PZB still does not award you the 65 AP.

Not a big issue since Platinum is still achievable but, weird, if anything?

PS. this second one may be just me imagining things but I swear I also saw an invisible red signal (the one where you stop to call the dispatcher before coupling to the other train? it wasn't physically present on the map?)

 

It's not just you. I didn't see an actual signal at that location either. Every track except the one you're on has a signal at that exact spot though. So maybe it's just a bug where the signal.model doesn't load or is now placed beneath the ground or whatever.

 

Actually, I did look at older videos and it seems it was never there to begin with.
Again, doesn't impact the playability of the mission (unless you have no HUD, I guess, but even then not the completability) so I am not sure if I want to have someone at DTG touch the thing at all with fear it may get broken back hah.

Jokes aside, low priority but please fix this issue now as well, DTG.
