Heya DTG, IM SOOO EXCITED FOR THE ECML, and i got a question, tho, will there be Bi mode for the class 801 azuma?

 

The class 801s are not actually bi modes in real life, but EMUs. They do however have a singular diesel power pack which can be used in emergency situations when the electric can't be, which has, I believe, been done in game too.

 

If they do i will be impressed, I hope they do

 

I am 98% sure they are so prepare to be impressed.

9 car your looking at about 60 tops and 5 car and perhaps 75 to 80. The condition with both those speeds is you need time, space and level, though preferably downhill, track with no stops. The engine used is the same as the ones used in 800s just there is only one per unit rather than the multiple engines 800s have.

 

so what variant is DTG Makin?

 

801/1 and 801/2

 

As said above both of them. The 801/1s are the 5 cars and 801/2s are the 9 cars.

 

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!! TBH 60mph-80 is solid enough

 

On electric they both do 125, the diesel is only used in rescue/emergency situations (e.g. power being down) and some shunt moves. Also, like I say, acceleration is pathetic on both but especially 9 cars.

Hopefully, seeing as it's a train, it will be on a railway line.

Also just to add 125 is the line speed, these trains can, very easily go much faster but due to a couple of incidents they have been essentially electronically blocked from going more than 125mph. If this isn't included/can be disabled in game then you could take an 801 to probably 170mph, perhaps more going down stoke, as I wouldn't imagine you can tear the OHLE to shreds in game!

Also when I said 125 I meant 125mph.

Yes, well kind of. The month since announcement does seem to have passed very quickly and is the only TSW thing my wife actually has wanted me to buy as she wants to see what our back garden looks like in game so we are both counting down the days.

Although the 801s do have the engine they are still considered an EMU and not a bi-mode as the engine cannot be used for regular running but only for emergency situations and some shunting.

 

oh k, im also very very very sure dtg would have pixelated ur back garden and made it to look absolutely NOTHING Like ur back garden imo but what can i say? maybe it does, but we will find out!

 

Well, if the game doesn't look like your back garden, then next year you can make your back garden look like the game.

 

Yes probably though it is only a few feet from the line so I am at least hoping my planter will be there!

You say that but I do have a niggling feeling that my wife may take inspiration from the TSW garden and make the real garden look more like it. I wouldn't put it past her!

Hopefully the DTG art staff read this and do the yards up as extravagantly as possible.

 

That would be a lot of extra work just to annoy me and cost me another few hundred on the garden. I wouldn't be surprised if she has been down in Chatham making our garden look extravagant just so she can make me make it look extravagant in real life.

 

And.......I'm over them and their lies/slapdash treatment of erstwhile loyal supporters of their game. Loyalty is a two way street, one has to demonstrate loyalty in order to receive loyalty. DTG is a huge fail in this regard.

 

I'm sorry, but that's a load of crap. They said they were working on it, and now they're saying it was too difficult. That doesn't make sense to me. If they were really working on it, they would have found a way to make it work. But instead, they gave up and are now blaming it on technical difficulties.

 

Ill be buying DTGs content (its cheap especially as new a number), but the truth is it is just outgrowth on the MSTSs vacuum and is not even close to the best we could get from train sims on consoles.

 

So will the Edinburgh to Glasgow improvements include the sound updates when we where promised or just general fix's.

That's disappointing that Edinburgh to Glasgow STILL I mean STILL has broken sounds, even I can make a new song by the time the update for the sounds come out.
