Road Map Train Sim World 5 Roadmap: February 2025

Caltrain last chance sales have now hit both Steam and PlayStation. I have been waiting until Tuesday (a traditional sale launch day on the platform) to see if there is any sale on Xbox, given that delisting is in 9 days, and - nothing. I had the impression that sales were promised across the board, and not on a subset of platforms only?

 

DTG posted they have been unable to secure a sale on XBOX

I must say I hoped these sorts of problems will go away with Focus owning them.

 

Of course that doesn't mean that DTG couldn't find a way to compensate XBOX players who would like to acquire the Caltrain content.

 

Hi, when will the new Koln - Aachen timetable be?

 

Release date hasn't been confirmed. It might even be 3 months+, though I hope it will come sooner.

 

Is the F59 Metrolink about to come? (Because NealTV8 streams it today)

It still requires testing which will take months since it's over 4000 services

 

I am exited for the Dutch route and the Welsh route. Cant wait for their release.

It's a passion project, so will be ready when it's ready. Probably by summer time we'll have it.

Any update regarding the much-anticipated Koln-Aachen timetable?

Kinda well! Had a couple of issues regarding free time and as its a personal project that's the only time I get to do it. But I've been still working on it over the weekend. Found some more AI to include at Köln Hbf. I am hoping to get an update for the next roadmap.

The reply is from Joe at DTG. It's fair to remember that this is a so-called "passion project" that will require testing. However, it is also true that the fact of an updated SKA timetable was used to advertise TSW4! It was also included in the December "reveals." And on the recent roadmap. Throughout this time, more content from routes that didn't exist when this was first announced has been proposed. To what extent this has been additionally delayed by DTG, in order to include layers from new content, is anyone's guess.

So, it is completely fair to ask when is this finally coming out, after 18+ months of hype that DTG have used to sell their product, and probably deserving of more than a pithy response. The greater shame is that this has taken so long that there will probably be no layers on Gen 8 or Series S, because TSW5 is such a mess. Assuming that we get SKA before TSW6, that is.

 

You won't believe me, but it was 860 that the game spawned on the very first load.
Just a word of advice for the future: stop being DTG's lawyers, they will do everything they can to make you look ridiculous when you trying to defend them.

 

This has nothing to do with defending DTG. According to Metrolinks wiki page, the 860 was not one of the 5 units that was rebuilt into F59PHR. That was all I meant to say.

 

as matt said on preview stream, the numbering of tsw F59PHR's includes PH's and PHR's numbering
