Hello - apologies if I can't get around to every question, it's not you it's me!

Just to note, from a 1st party perspective (ie. "What we make from Dovetail") we've aimed to have a balance for the US/UK/DE regions (For the US, TSW5's first route was MBTA Commuter, and we've got the Metrolink F59PHR coming up. Mannheim will make up the first German route at the end of January with the SKA update, and then from our side for the UK, our only announced route will be the Cardiff City Network.

The elephant in the room here is that, when you include the full picture of releases (including all our third parties), then obviously this changes to a bigger skew towards UK content. Whilst we can help offer suggestions and guidance to what add-ons third parties develop, ultimately it is up to their own teams to choose what they want to create, and that can result in times when there is a higher amount of releases for one region over another.

Appreciation the feedback anyway, we have more things cooking in the background to talk about when the time is right, so stay tuned!

Very sorry, of course, but American content suffers the most from the lack (there are no problems with British and German). It doesn't even smell like any balance, kek.

No - it's incrediblehannes making that route - not ATS. ATS is doing Manchester Commuter

nwp1 was saying it's a shame that Manchester Commuter (the ATS route) has been marked as further down the line. junior hornet was kind of saying that's ok because they will be buying Mildmay in Feb (didn't realise a release date had been announced - or maybe it's an estimation from previous roadmap info etc.), so delaying the ATS route is fine because they can then save up Xbox Rewards Points to get it. They were saying they hope the delay will make the ATS route be the best it can upon release.

Very impressive speaking of the German route Mannheim Kaiserslautern how come there are no French rolling stock such as the TGV 2N2 BB37000 those are the major French trains operating that corridor between Mannheim and Paris via Forbach Frontière France Allemagne

l am satisfied that the ATS route has been delayed. Best wait until it is properly ready rather than releasing a rushed product.

It’s about the right time for Festival of Rail, which may have a Dovetail Direct followed by a Roadmap.

Given the scant info on Cardiff + the Dutch route so far, I expect the lid to be finally lifted off of these as they’re the two key DTG deliveries pre-summer.
GWE is a Liam spare time project AIUI so that must be more of a ‘when it’s done, it’s done thing’.

Wonder if there’ll be any totally new content announced? This time last year they’d hinted at the Suffragette route, Salzburg-Rosenheim and Semmeringbahn before Christmas but not officially announced until the ‘Spring’ Direct, whereas this year we’ve known about the above mentioned two routes since the Summer Direct.
OTOH, with resource tied up remediating the TSW5 routes, unannounced project(s) that planned to release in late Spring may have had to be shelved, and the release slate may be relying more on third party stuff with the likes of Tadami and ATS’s Manchester route edging closer to release.

    We shall see!

The Feb 2025 roadmap could see Skyhook announced that loco dlc they teased that everyone basically agrees will be the DRS Class 20.

I just hope we get an update on the Class 104 dlc

It will probably end up being a Thomas circus, with the briefest mention of the Mittenwaldbahn.

And continuing wall of silence on the core performance issues and whether these are caused by the new 2D map style.

Ah, yes, the ‘other’ DLC. Not on my wishlist so I’d forgotten about it when writing my post, but you’re right that some more details should be forthcoming for those who are keen (and I don’t wish to tell them how they should and should not play, albeit like you OldVern I’d like to see the platform stabilised in return!).

On the subject of Thomas, I’m not sure the dots were ever explicitly connected on a forum post, but it seems to be that the Thomas DLC has been enabled by @DTGLiam’s remastering of West Somerset, and I hope that he’s been recognised internally given it was a project he proposed and ran with in his spare time.

personally I'm actually looking forward to the Thomas DLC. regardless of the grumpy buggers who want nothing more than their latest flavour of EMU/DMU it'll be an interesting change of pace and hopefully open the doors for future oddball projects.
I'm hoping it'll kickstart DTG and 3rd parties to do more steam, and it'll help my personal project get off the ground too. fingers crossed

I'd pay a decent chunk if Ringo voiced the DLC lol

I guess.., there are more UK and German routes, due to both countries are in Europe.
Being the creators of the simulator in the first one.
For US routes, several DTG staff have to cross the Atlantic ocean, to go there, so they have higher costs.

Shouldn’t be as big of a problem anymore though since they outsource most routes these days. They just need a reliable US partner.

Yes..., that could be a better option for them.
But I remember when DTG staff, showed images being in US on Metrolink maintenance yards - or something like that -, recording sounds and taking photos of the locomotive and passenger cars.
