Yeah that's what's happening, a weekday and Sunday timetable. Alex did mention it should have been clearer on the roadmap but that's what it is

A nice compromise to help with performance while keeping all the layers available, perhaps?

No, just to have the two very different timetables available to utilize. Like with San Bernardino.

Yeah so the Sunday service only sees the TFW, EMT and Avanti services operating with the Northern and TPE services cancelled at short notice, you load up the sim and it places you in the cab but then says "cancelled due to lack of guard, return to mess room". Very authentic stuff ;)

You have to remember that it is done in his spare time on top of what he is already doing. Remember he was also pulled into fixing wcml and further improvements to wsr. On top of his personal life. He does not have a ton of spare hours lying around. Then he is also a 3rd party as well. He basically took a tsw2020 route and overhauled it. That will take a long time as a solo developer. It doesn't come quick unfortunately so you will have to be more patient.

Well, gwe remaster is a passion project done by a single dev in his free time.

North london line is also a solo developer project. It might be a short distance, but that does not make the job easier. NLL is a complex and dense route and knowing the developer, he will make it as detailed as possible. So expect it to take a while. Unless you want him rushing it

Things don't get made overnight unfortunately

What will be the difference between the two timetables?

The Sunday one (naturally) will be lighter, fewer services run on Sundays.

The weekday timetable will be the busiest of the two.

You have to remember that GWE remaster was announced for TSW5. So, that is the game that it should come out for. It should not come out for another game, like how the SKA timetable was announced for TSW4 but still hasn't been officially released across all platforms two years later. If these "passion projects" are going to take a lot of time then so be it, but let's be a little more honest then and hold off on these ridiculously early pronouncements. Of course it is difficult to get the timings for these things perfectly right, but I would argue that more than one year to likely release time is much too far ahead to announce something.

Let's also remember that in the case of SKA at least, DTG has some blame to take as they moved the goalposts over time in regards to content and layers. I would not be surprised if this is happening behind the scenes for GWE as well, especially since we have had all this recent content released for the "old" GWE timetable.

I don't think it's appropriate to just casually disregard those who are questioning when content will come out. DTG are the ones who are hyping this stuff so it is also on them to provide honest updates, although admittedly they seldom do this.
