Lamplight has advised what the issue will stem from. I’m not sure if DTG/PSN have corrected the issue in that regard, but if you delete TSW5, then go to your game library, you can download it again there & it will give a list of addons that are only for the PS5 version, even though some still show a TSW4 icon (again this may have been corrected now).

Of course you will be downloading a hefty amount again, so upto you if you want to do that, but it’ll get you back a decent chunk of storage space.

    Thanks for your comments!.
So I will have to delete PS5 and start all over again.
    Regards

  3. I feel like the Class 104 is slowly turning into the DB BR 420. It was announced almost exactly 4 years ago now, looked like it was going to release in 2022, but other than sitting in release date tbc for a while hasnt been mentioned since.

I am just wondering about my Profile!.

I mean on previous new version of the new TSW, you have your profile to be imported from the previous TSW .
Then after that I deleted the previous TSW version.
But now, as I had already installed TSW5, I deleted TSW4.

So if I delete TSW5 now , I believe there not will be my profile available anymore!
I will have to start from zero!

Or there is another way to get it?

The 420 is likely coming really soon at this point. Lukas mentioned that it will show up as part of the Frankfurt S-Bahn network, with the discarded Munich variant included for those who want to try it on Munich-Augsburg (hoping there’s at least a simple S-Bahn timetable included that replaces the BR 423 with the 420). The Frankfurt S-Bahn, that might be TSG’s next route. Perhaps they strategically don’t want to officially reveal that another Frankfurt route is coming before they release the big post-launch patch for Frankfurt-Fulda.

Whatever profile you’re currently playing on, on TSW5, on PS5, will still be there after you delete TSW5 from your system. The saves are stored separately to game content.

Simtrack did reply to a thread saying it was taking much longer than they originally thought and work is slowly progressing on it but also that the team have other jobs outside which is why it's taking so long

Yes I saw that, probably in response I made to a comment in its dedicated thread. A shame and let’s hope it does come eventually but goes to show you shouldn’t really announce anything until you at least have an early beta stood on its wheels and running up and down in the sim.

Yes first mentioned, I believe, in the December, 2023 roadmap. Coming up on a year in development. Should not have been announced until much closer to release.

    I
They couldn't win either way. If they didn't announce anything, players would start saying lack of communication or that they are taking too long. If they announce something early, then you get the similar reaction

No the point is, don't mention it full stop then no one is expecting anything, particularly if it's your first project.

I do wonder actually if DTG took the onus or initiative to announce it given the ongoing concerns (at the time) about the lacklustre timetable on PFR, rather than giving the developer the breathng space they obviously needed.

Rennekton is right here. People are complaining about "boring" roadmaps. They need to be entertained both by the game and the PR.

I sometimes wonder if the roadmap would be better bi-monthly or even quarterly, just announce stuff when it’s ready for preview and release. The wise ones amongst us have learned not to get too excited about it and TSC manages to function quite nicely with no roadmap at all. Though admittedly apart from a small team keeping the pilot light on, DTG seem to have pretty much lost interest in their original (and still mostly best) train game.

I don't really care for the Roadmap. It's not affecting the game, only expectations. Which can be... problematic. ;)

Vern is right. No need to say anything until you're sure you can release something within the horizon of the Roadmap, meaning 6 months at the latest. I'm beginning to have doubts about HIS's gameplay pack which has been on the back burner about as long.

Beginning of November, that's why it is a monthly update.

That date would clash with the MBTA preview stream. The Roadmap will likely be on the 12th.

Sounder, the commuter rail in Washington State operated by WSDOT, would be interesting. I have never taken it personally, but the line coverage north and south of Seattle at the very very least is picturesque and very scenic with a mix of evergreen covered mountains and hills, and the coasts of the Puget Sound. The area is also trafficked heavily by Amtrak (the Cascades (Portland - Vancouver via Seattle), and BNSF headed into the Port of Seattle).

Notable landmarks spottable from the tracks that I can think of off the top of my head are: Downtown Seattle and possibly the Space Needle, Lumen Field (home of the Seattle Seahawks), T-Mobile Park (home of the Mariners), and Boeing Field.

-Washington: Sounder (Never made an appearance in official form)
-Utah: FrontRunner (Never made an appearance in official form)
-New Mexico: New Mexico Rail Runner Express (Weirdly enough, licensed and branded on American Truck Simulator of all places)
-Texas: Trinity Railway Express (Never made an appearance in official form)
-Minnesota: Northstar (Never made an appearance in official form)
-Colorado: RTD (Never made an appearance in official form)
-Tennessee: WeGo Star (Never made an appearance in official form)

Problem with most of these is the same problem with ACE, in that most of them are 1 line commuter rail systems, that probably cannot support a decent timetable that TSW players expect. And that is if DTG can clear the licensing barrier....

You also forgot about Tri-Rail in Florida.

Out of all the typical single-line diesel commuter rails in the US I'd say that FrontRunner would probably still be the best choice gameplay-wise, since they actually have a pretty decent timetable with hourly trains (half-hourly during peak times) and service between about 5am to 12am, instead of the usual 6 trains per day in total that only run during rush hour. But considering the track record with US commuter rail so far I also highly doubt that that would ever come to fruition.
