I really thought I saw the building of mid-town at one point and comment was made about it. Remember, from Hoboken, lower Manhattan was clearly seen directly across the river, mid-town was to the left.

If you want the cut and dry answer then no, you won’t see it on the NYT stock.

I haven't watched the whole stream yet, but I was afraid of this. It's been the same on every NYC route, NYT, LIRR, Harlem, none feel like the real Big Apple

To be fair the NYC skyline itis better this time around….. the downtown imo was done very well. However, the Midtown area is where imo needs improvements with more structures.

From the NY-Trenton map, or rather LIRR 2.0, I remember that there were collisions of platform edges with trains at NY Penn.... was this revised for this map?

This was previously updated on LIRR2 why resolved most of the clippings. If you see any on LIRR2 please send a bug report

I have to say, I wasn't really expecting much from this preview stream because DTG's U.S. efforts are all over the place, quality-wise. But I was super pleasantly surprised! I will definitely be buying it at some point. But, wow, seeing those Arrow III EMUs really makes me want Silverliner IVs for a Trenton to Philly route... or maybe Philly to Lancaster for more city to countryside runs.

So I went through practically all the platforms at NY Penn and you're right, practically it looks ok ..... so I think I saw that on the map of NY Trenton, so that's good news ....... however two things at NY Penn at LIRR 2, a collision with a steel structure between Track 19 and Track 20 and then on West Yard Siding Track 30 at the entrance to the tunnel a collision with a steel structure column

But what would be worth a little inspection and repair is Sunnyside Yard, there are quite a few collisions between trains and island walkways between the tracks .....

    I am on PS5

Is that the one on the way out to West Side Yard? I just ran through it this afternoon- good thing it has no collision volume!

I can tell you have never been to NYC

Metlife is not overtop of Penn Station, Madison Square Garden is.

Metlife is right beside Grand Central Terminal. And is closer to the East River on the otherside of Manhattan, closer to Queens so you wouldn't see it from the Jersey side.

Also both the Chrysler and Empire State buildings are farther north in Midtown Manhattan the view you get from Hoboken is Lower Manhattan you can't see the them.

Here is the real life view from Hoboken the buildings in front are too tall to see the Midtown buildings .

Brainfart. I meant Grand Central (goodness knows I've been to both enough, as well as to MSG)

Point remains, not visible, at least not in the stream. Nor is the ESB, which as anyone knows who's seen Manhattan from the Jersey side absolutely dominates midtown.

Lol I get you. I was at the new Penn station this year Moynhan Hall. Last time I was there it was the old underground mall from the 70's looking thing. Much nicer now.

To understand correctly, will it be fixed in Morristown Line?

Since it is pretty close to release, I understand that getting these implemented is probably a long shot, but here are my suggestions for increased realism:
    • It is bit difficult to tell from the stream, but I think the alerter behavior could use a bit of tweaking:
      • It should not react like SIFA with the only timer reset being the ack button - moving the throttle/master controller, moving the horn valve, pressing the bell button, and applying brakes should all reset the timer as well.
      • Typical behavior for visual and auditory alert is as follows: 5 seconds of visual alert only (usually a flashing or alternating LEDs), 5 seconds of visual alert and audio alert with gradual increase in volume and on-off pattern, 10 seconds of steady visual alert and steady tone visual alert, then penalty occurs. (see https://assets.new.siemens.com/siem...ter-systems-q2517-xx-obe-00-15-03-rev-c-3.pdf (page 17 of 36))
    • When SES speed enforcement is active for the ALP-46, Arrow III, and Multilevels, the yellow portion of the will extend down to the next civil speed target if it is lower than the current speed restriction some distance from the speed change. Also, a magenta distance to target measured in feet will appear and countdown to 0 ft to denote distance to that lower speed target. On the audio side, a beep is also heard when the next lower speed target appears on the SDU and again when the green bar starts decreasing. (see https://rosap.ntl.bts.gov/view/dot/36458/dot_36458_DS1.pdf (page 40 of 160))
    • I'm not 100% positive on this, but with the ALP-45DP, I believe every change to a lower civil speed needs to be acknowledged since this is a characteristic of ACSES (unlike ASES where no ack is required), just like it is done with the Amtrak stock.
    • The "no power brake" light in the ALP-45DP (and ALP-46) should only be on if you have braking and power on the throttle requested while the train is in motion (I am simplifying here a bit, but it should not be on just because you have applied any braking).
    • The PCS light should also be on when a penalty is requested (not just emergency brakes).
