Game Update Train Sim World 6 Update Notes – July 29th 2026

Hello folks,

Today we're releasing a smaller update, which introduces optimisations we hope will reduce the occurrence of blurry textures for a few UK Add-ons. This update also adds route hopping from Great Western Express to Thames Valley Branches and should fix issues with announcements in certain cases.

Core

• Fixed an issue with onboard announcements when departing the first station of a service
• Fixed an issue where announcements would play with trains arriving at the terminating station
• Improvements made to XBOX system loading stability

Optimisation & Performance
Various optimisation updates have made the following Add-ons to reduce overall memory usage and help support a smoother gameplay experience.

• WCML: Preston-Crewe
• WCML: Preston-Carlisle
• BR Class 86/2 Mk2f

WCML Preston Crewe

• Fixed an issue where the mastery posters for WCML Preston Crewe weren’t appearing on the route

Great Western Express

• Added route hopping to Thames Valley Branches at Slough, Twyford and Maidenhead

East Coast Way

• Fixed an issue where the announcements on the route were not working as intended.

Class 171

• Fixed an issue where the announcements on the loco were not working as intended.

NEC New York - Stamford

• Fixed an issue where the announcements on the route were not working as intended.

Morristown Line

• Fixed an issue where the announcements on the route were not working as intended.

NJTRANSIT ALP-45DP

• Train door open and close sounds can now be heard when interacting from outside the loco.
• Fixed an issue where the announcements on the loco were not working as intended.
