Core Train Sim World 7 - Feedback Thread

Please don't forget about Freight Hauler! It's loaded with errors and bugs as well.

 

I had this problem last year on pre release for PS5, when it rectified when the routes and trains that were my top ones, were actually released. Currently having the same issue this year on PS5, but not on steam where I have all the content.

 

I’ve described my findings so far... I’ve only tested the Freight Hauler once on the German map, and aside from driving outside the "playable" zone, I didn't encounter any major issues... if you have any significant bugs or observations in this regard, please post them here.

 

Driving outside the playable zone is actually the one thing that hasn't happened to me yet, but I have only driven on the Tri-Rail route so far. If you are interested I have made many posts about Freight Hauler on Tri-Rail in the freight hauler feedback thread, here:

PC - Steam
Several jouney mode scenarios, tutorials and services have lost their scoring/medals. This is across multiple dlc including gameplay packs, loco dlc and routes. Included are 5 screenshots, There are more DLC affected by this, but the forums only allow 5 attachments. As someone who likes to use journey mode this is severely dissappointing to see.

 

Wanted to add on that this only seems to affect jouney mode. Medals are still there in timetable mode and the regular scenario menu

 

So you delete a train blocking your path and you still lose your information in the top left hand corner. Doesn't save your settings and i have to sign in every time i play . Xbox series x.

 

I’ve had the same problem ever since this option was added to the game. However, the information reappears once you reach the next task. It’s just annoying when you still have a lot of kilometers left to drive.
Das Problem habe ich bei mir auch, seit diese Option im Spiel vorhanden ist. Aber die Info kommt wieder, wenn man die Nächste Aufgabe erreicht hat. Ist nur doof, wenn man noch viele Kilometer zu fahren hat.

I understand the frustration, but honestly, “passing” on something you get for free with the Starter Edition makes very little sense to me. TSW 7 gives you the new features and will continue to receive updates, while TSW 6 won’t. You don’t really lose anything by upgrading (for free!).

 

I find this way of thinking quite remarkable… You’re getting TSW7 for free and you’re getting updates, so why wouldn’t you choose TSW7? The core is much more stable, and you’re getting a huge graphics upgrade for free. It’s simply better you should go for the TSW7 free starter pack!

If you’d rather not pay for the core routes and trains, that’s completely understandable things still aren’t very stable at the moment. If you say you want to wait a few months, that’s perfectly fine. But please choose the free starter pack; it really is a good deal. And no, I don’t work for DTG or anything like that I just see the potential it offers you.

 

My concern about that though is, is TSW7 more stable? What's its effect on current routes?

 

In my opinion, the core feels the same, but with the new settings and with smooth Motion. The performance is way better.

I installed the Nvidia studio driver, turned on the Bar option and set the upscaling to 1.78 in Nvidia configurator. Everything looks sharp now, with smooth Motion, I set my fps to 26, because I have 59/60hz screen. With smooth Motion, everything is smooth enough for me. I stayed the doubled fps a bit underneath the screen Hz, otherwise you get a lot of tearing. My videocard is a 4060 8gb, average not special. This was also possible in tsw 6. But Dlss made a big difference in tsw 7.

 

My experience so far is that it is approximately the same regarding instability. If you are very worried about stability I would just turn off the AI conductor in the settings. Nothing else makes a difference apparently.

 

Hi. I wanted to let you know that CSX SD40-2 On Florida Tri Rail has a few issues. I think the Number board lights don't seem to work. Seems to have Ditch light issues such as not turning on and when they do actually work they do not flash as they do in real life and as they did in previous versions of Train Sim World. Also wasn't sure if the YN2 Liveries Were left out intentionally or like the GP38-2 got messed up somewhere down the road as that YN2 Livery has been broken since TSW 2's Rush Hour Update. My Platform is XBOX Series X.

 

Okay Guys. I NEED the camera movement of the former games back because I HATE the new controls.
I’ve spent a couple of thousand hours in this game series and I’m used to a certain way how the camera works and this is not working for me. In need the old settings as an option

My game Setting: FSR and DLSS not used;Using TAA with a resolution ratio of 200%

• Problem: After exiting the game and re entering, the game screen will change to a resolution ratio of 100%, but the menu still displays a resolution ratio of 200%. You need to apply the settings again to change it back.
