Any updates on the AI train PIS bug? Last month Matt said they were looking into it but he had no further updates - is this still the case?

I must say, the 700 is looking really nice. And I can already tell it will be better than your first attempt in TSC...(I hope).

Midland mainline says coming April but still no release date why is this when roadmap only monthly this is unhelpful as doesn’t help with budgeting money when no release date

Well the release date will be announced soon separately. It’s not like they will wait until may to tell you the April release date…

Because the roadmap doesn't do this.
It's a literal roadmap, not a list of when dlcs are due to release

Quick overall of some of my thoughts on the key notes of this roadmap.
    • Midland Main Lines does look promising at the moment, hopefully we will see a preview stream soon. But the real eye-catcher here is that the EMT HST will add AI services to St Pancras on SEHS. Was kinda hoping they would do that and it seems like they are, that will definitely add alot more life to some of the other platforms at that station (Only the Eurostar platforms don't get much use now, aside from a few international visitors).
    • I probably expect Peak Forest to be next up after MML and it does look lovely from those screenshots, it definitely looks like it could top Liverpool-Crewe. It also seems like the Jubilee & 8F from those routes will be included with this route too, alongside the already announced 4F. Unless they are their as a layer from LPC, but we will have to wait till nearer the time to find out.
    • The Class 700 has been a worst-kept secret for a while now, and I feel like, just like the Acela, was always a case of not if, but when. Also not surprised it's being made for SEHS, considering it's one of TSW3's core routes, which could also explain why it's just the 8-car 700/0 and not the 12-car 700/1 (unless it's there for AI/Scenario Planner purposes only) as the later doesn't come here anyways. But let's wait and see on that (but regardless, the main goal for this one is to turn out better than the TSC version, which the bar there is incredibly low).
    • I really want to believe that DTG's upcoming UK route is ECML related, but it's impossible to guess right now. We'll just to wait and see how this one turns out.
    • What are the chances that Just Train's first route is that rumoured Preston-Blackpool Route? Even back when it was first leaked, it did sound to me like a route they would make as their first venture into TSW. Also worth mentioning that it's going to be a Diesel-Electric/Diesel-Hydraulic Route set between 1951 & 1990. Something that should make it sound more appealing than the traditional modern UK routes we've been getting lately (you'll be surprised how it's actually been a while since we've had a route of that kind).

No mention of any DLC for SOS, is that route now abandoned despite having a timetable which makes the Trenton one look like BML? Also having little variety, no shunting engines, no local passenger trains! A complete waste if it stays the way it is.

This stuck out to me as well.

Like they're going down a checklist:
    1 freight service- CHECK

That's freight done and dusted, then.

Quite disappointing, especially since the timetable already seems pretty barren.

Class 700/0 confirmed for SEHS, but no word on BML layer. Guess we have to assume it's NOT coming, but could DTG please confirm one way or the other?

New DTG and JT routes could have some promise though.

Can we please please pretty please get some UK routes where there's more than 1 freight service.
They've added yards and sidings on the route, some of which have class 47s running out of them TODAY, the day of the road map release, but all we get is one 66 run and a few railtours...
Is it possible to find someone with some imagination when it comes to route management and timetable building so that we're not being limited like this, whether it's with AI or drivable. Even looking up Mountsorrel freight movements today on RTT there are more than fifty available freight or light loco movements...
    And we get 1...

To be honest i feel like TSW needs another freight loco like a 92 or a class 88 and a bit more freight

Very disappointing, but appreciate the clear answer.

Would you say that development is pretty much finished on BML? I.e. we won't be receiving a TOD4 update? I think clear expectations help even when it isn't what we want to hear.

The source material for 158 is Armstrong powerhouse But the setup and implementation was in house not by AP so it remains to be seen how 158 will turn out after all the proof of the puddings in the eating not forgetting the class 150/2 disaster and that was AP sources as well si better to watch preview stream and make your mind up that way and or compare it with AP Cummins 158 on there YouTube channel as a reference

Again, no current plans RE: TOD4. We're looking at things like performance improvements (in so doing would allow us to add things like Rush Hour passengers more confidently), so development isn't 'finished', but no plans for TOD4 at present.

Very mixed bag of information there.

From my personal perspective, it now looks as if Skyhook MML very much leading the field in terms of the original 5 new routes announced earlier in the year. May actually mean I buy the RHTT and ROG too, well in the next sale.

I can't begin to contain my disappointment though at the situation with Peak Forest. Frankly the reasons for not starting the route at Derby and/or including some green diesels, specifically a slightly remodelled and retextured Class 45 seem to indicate the true story is "CBA" and blow a huge raspberry in the face of the customer base who campaigned for this to be included. You would have thought at least one of the suggestions could have been implemented. Ambergate is, frankly, a rubbish place at which to start the route and as others have said elsewhere, by 1963 diesels were actually working the lions share of traffic on the route too.

As regards steam in general, it is a complete disgrace and insult to those of us who bought SoS on Day One, that the fixes, particularly to the spurious SPAD's, are still not ready and might not even come with Peak Forest. The DTG Flywheel keeps on turning and yesterday's high profile release is now a blip in the afterthought bin. So don't get your hopes up with Peak Forest either - getting the same hype as SoS did and guess where it will probably be six months after release...

Nothing I could see in there about the serious level crossing issues on recent German route releases either.

i’m reckoning it’s preston to blackpool with a pacer or 156 and maybe the 158 as it’s already now/going to be in game

Ap only sells sounds and makes a deal with dtg. They aren't involved in any development of tsw and have no plans to move to tsw. They are only working on tsc.

We now have a new candidate for the worst livery in TSW with that East Midlands monstrosity. I thought Network SouthEast (as immortalised in my profile picture) was bad but that pale blue and the other colours that don’t match it have reached new heights. What were they thinking?

One thing that got me in the roadmap was an entry for a Loco Bundle 2 post-release patch. I’m still waiting for a patch for Loco Bundle 1 so that the AI trains can have their headlights on when running. Either that isn’t getting this much needed fix or the roadmap is becoming like it used ro be with some fixes mentioned and others not. As trains aren’t allowed to run without their headlights on, I’d have thought it would be a fix that DTG would be eager to get done. It seems like I was wrong about that.

The coding for JT's route (1 diesel-mechanical) suggests a Pacer. True, they could recycle the eternal 101; but we've had lots of those and, in the late BR era, the Class 140 et seq, ghastly as they were, were ubiquitous on British branch lines.

The Pacers still had Voith transmission, which technically makes them hydraulic. I could get on board (no pun intended) another heritage DMU though, perhaps the long requested 108 or maybe a 117.
