Road Map Train Sim World Roadmap - March 2023

Considering how failstarted was NECNYT, DTG should make more than just patching this route to rehabilitate itself...

 

It would rather be in the 2nd week of April than moved even closer to the beginning of the month. The majority of Thursday roadmaps so far were in the 2nd week of a month (since the movement from Tuesday to Thursday, 4 roadmaps were on 2nd Thursday of month and 3 on 1st Thursday of month, and 1 wasn't present due to TSW3 release that month).

 

Dovetail and Skyhook. You have done absolutely the right thing in delaying Midland Mainlline until you have fixed the issues you obviously have. Your delay will be appreciated. There is nothing worse than having to refund a much anticipated route or loco which I have had to do twice in the last couple of weeks..

 

Would also be very interested in a progress update on Peak Forest as it's gone very quiet. Does this mean DTG have taken on board the feedback that the route should start from Derby at the southern end, or maybe the hoped for improvements to steam physics are proving harder to realise than anticipated?

 

They probably will have more details in future roadmaps. It was still very work in progress when we first saw it during the summit.

 

I suspect the latter, if the former happens it will be one of the most surprising events since the turn of the millenium.

Hopefully I will be eating my words in a few months!

Maybe they are adding in a proper passenger train for the Millers Dale branch.

 

And the 3D modelling team told to retrofit and paint a Class 45 to layer in as well.

 

There has been no mentions since it's further back in the pipeline.
Last roadmap, Dovetail was hyping up imminent releases - Steam pack, LRS, Niddertalbahn, MML. Peak Forest should be the next DTG route to release, so I would expect them starting to hype it up in the April roadmap, with an underwhelming release in late April/early May.

 

Very much so. As I have said these were more common than the Jubilees in '63.

 

It is still going to start in a ridiculous place which for me pretty much ruins the complete route. The only way I will be purchasing this save for any shocks, is if there is an authentic train for the Millers Dale shuttle or some very useful layering of the 4F onto SOS.

 

It does seem like an incredibly strange decision. This is going to be sale buy (if at all) for me unless we get the extension to Derby (I promise I'm not on medication!) or there is a Peak and, like you say, something authentic for the Millers Dale shuttle.
