Three from me today.



First is one from the Mittenwaldbahn, with my Talent 2 just out of shot below.




The next two are from a WIP route of mine, Mablebrooke, showing a small part of the Haven Hill Preserved Railway, with a 2" 3' train heading around Tramway Curve as it descends into St Mary Market station, coming from 'Young Joe Viaduct' on the other side of the tunnel.


This is the whole train, a few seconds later, with the tram track that gave the curve its name just visible to the extreme right of the image.
All stock is from the North Wales Narrow Gauge mod and the England Engines addon, available on UKTS, and the track is from the 2'3 Narrow Gauge Tracks 30lb and 50lb Types.

If anyone wants to know more about Mablebrooke, they're hugely welcome to ask me.

I didn't know that the old Train Simulator can look so beautiful!

 

A 3-set of Great Northern Y-1 boxcab electrics is seen here in early 1948 hauling a 50-car train past Wenatchee station on the GN Cascadian.
A Great Northern "Northern" class (because that's not confusing) is seen here in the summer of 1929 pulling the Oriental Limited across Stevens Pass. The 1929 re-alignment of the line still isn't complete, and this will be last year of operation through Tumwater Canyon and the 1900 Cascade Tunnel.
Same day, same train - the Oriental Limited is now battling the 2.2% ruling grade in Tumwater Canyon. The new and old alignments meet at Winton, about 14 miles from here. After battling the steep uphill grades up to the Cascade Tunnel, a Y-1 boxcab has coupled up to the train to take it through the tunnel. The wires west of the tunnel have been energised since 1900, but the wires west of it will be switched on with the new Cascade Tunnel. The train has just left the snow sheds at Tye, built after the 1911 avalanche there.

This was a somewhat failed attempt at re creating one of O. Winston Link's famous photographs from the steam era. I didn't really get the result I had wanted, but I think it still turned out decent so I thought I'd post it here.
