Merry Christmas Everyone...
Just love it when you re-visit a DLC you haven't driven in ages and that big smile creeps across your face.
Christmas Day morning........ Wife at work............. what else can one do other than fire up the wonderful AP 313 series.LOL
It's not often that this much eye candy appears together in a scenario. This shot was captured towards the end of a Leeds Lines scenario from the [RS] Class 185 Scenario Pack 1 (2017 – 2019) available on ATS
While being held at a Red aproaching York station, the Lest we forget Class 91 rolls up and holds beside you & soon after the Network Rail HST trundles past in the opposite direction.
A quick TS edit and a couple of TS-Tools swap-outs and my copy of the Wherry Lines is starting to become what it should have always been, branded high quality AP locos & coaches.
1) A GE P30CH duo is about to finish its climb to Cajon Summit
2) An EMD F40PH-2CAT with a longer NJT consist on the Coast Line
3) Old times on an old route - A BR 294 works the industries in Hagen in the 1970s
4) An EMD DD35 set works as UP Extra 82 West, just about to enter the Hermosa Tunnels
5) A Class 33 (Trainload Freight livery) takes a colorful string of containers (Northfleet to Faversham)
Just took this shot for the Unofficial Screenshot Comp ......
........ spun the camera round and ..........
.................. Now that has got to hurt. LOL
He may have taken inspiration from this girl.
(Am I the only one seeing it as a bit flirty? )
Nope, I am with you on that one.
[EDIT] What time is the next train to Castle?
"Happy xmas to me, Happy xmas to me, Happy xmas to meee...........eee, Happy xmas to me".
Well no-one else was going to buy it for me so I raided Virtual Railroads and treated myself.
Oh !!!!!!!!!!! and this
Looks nice, may it bring you many hours of joy!
Is this the same VR as the one producing the vR packs a decade ago?
No idea, I wasn't aware of train sim a decade ago, so possibly yes.
I just found them through buying the DB BR 112 and then fell in love with the quality dlc they produce although must admit not cheap if you are on a budget. Am yet to be disappointed.
I am currently playing with the idea of creating a 70s/80s themed DB scenario set using these vR units but am not sure which route to use as most of the DB routes I have seem to use quite modern assets.
Amazing shot - looks like a real photo.
Thanks, must admit I was pleased with how it looked,
Decided to dig out a couple of freight locos I haven't driven in absolutely ages, great fun.
JT Class 20
It's absolutely fatal, enjoying a nice glass of wine on a Saturday evening & DTG send me an e-mail reminding me the sale is still on and "Would I like some German Locos?"
Stupid question, well it would be rude not to, especially for less than £5
The BR24 (coaches are from the BR10 pack)
Wonderful shots, Craigie. Sadly I will have to get a larger SSD before I partake of more German routes…
Thank you, I feel your pain, I am also starting to keep an eye on my spare space. A 1TB SSD sounds a lot when you buy it but with this hobby??
Just couldn't resist this beauty, the detailing is exquisite.
Looks lovely indeed! I also second "wonderful shots", please stay drunk, you did good!
I'm perfectly happy to continue this thread but I was wondering whether we want a TS screenshots 2022 thread (slight change of word order in the title for obvious reasons).
Continuing this one can help people browsing back. (Might as well ask some forum mod to merge 2019 and 2020 with this. Somebody just added a few shots in the 2019 thread a few days ago.)
Another long weekend so just have to go hunting for new routes.
Came across The Breckland Line and very nice it is too.
Time for my as-per-usual delayed weekly:
1) Composition Practice - Amtrak on Pacific Surfliner
2) To Catch a Ferry - NJT F40PH-2CAT racing with a short local towards Hoboken, just about to join the NEC
3) Scot Snow - A BR Blue Class 101 sprinting towards Glasgow
4) Down the Slope - A PRR RS-11 duo descends the west side
5) Maintenance is Life - A grey Class 33 moves gravel empties to be filled on the North London Line
Some foreign power on the Mountain Subdivision...
AP Class 800
On 4th January 1997 the 'Cumbrian Mountain Express' was booked to be steam-hauled from Carlisle to Crewe via the Settle & Carlisle line by A4 Pacific 60009 Union of South Africa but having failed at Bridgnorth a few days beforehand, the SVR and Stanier Mogul Preservation Fund kept the show going by providing LMS 5P4F 2-6-0 2968 instead. On a slightly shortened 9 coach, 330ton load, 2968 made a very impressive assault on the 'Long Drag', and here we see her at the head of the CME approaching a freezing Ais Gill Summit at a very creditable 26mph. At the risk of offending the Stanier purists, she was running with the tender from 'Black Five' no.45110, repainted into LMS lined black, which she was also paired with for the famous assaults of the Lickey Incline in tandem with SVR's GWR Mogul 7325.
For anyone interested, the real tour can be seen at the same location here:
An LSWR T9 (in BR lined plumage) seen on the Purbeck Line:
Yes agreed, this one is really grand.
I find the Dean Goods to be especially fun to drive.
Just a class 40 in Devon.
My, doesn’t that look snazzy!
Keep asking myself if I can hold off getting this until the next sale….
Does it come in good ol’ BR Blue and Grey?
Just a run or two on the CSX Hanover Subdivision on the weekend.
Here's just a few of my favourite screenshots I've gotten from playing UK DLC
Class 800-803 Enhancement Pack in here
1) Spring - NJ Transit's GP40PH-2B takes into the mountains with a special
2) Summer - A MOW Class 33 lets off a puff of smoke while moving some ballast out of Glasgow
3) Summer - The driver of an EWS Class 33 pulling a PCA unit enjoys the view of the valleys
4) Fall - A Southern Pacific intermodal fights for grip on the grimy rails, climbing Donner's east slope
5) Winter - Hoppers of old and new meet on their way to Bailey mine
Done some miles today, Started off in Munich with a 232 Ludmilla.............
............... and next thing you know I am at Lincoln Station in the UK East Midlands, after travelling all the way from London Kings Cross.
.............A bit later and a bit further north found myself in the Class 57 312 "Solway Princess" Northern Belle which has dumped it's normal pullman coaches and is now hauling Nuclear flasks. Just love the variety and choices available in TS2022.
Not everyday you see a consist like this.
When I first glanced at blazeinlet’s shot:
I thought for a moment that the was some sort of phantom scarecrow with a raised hand on the right hand side, due to the way the cows are positioned.
Intentional obfuscation maskirovka tactics on the part of the cows
You don't notice it when viewing on a computer screen, but on a smaller mobile screen I got that illusion....
Nah, I totally understand what you meant. The illusion is visible even on this screenshot.
The wild north.
Winter in Durham, early 1960s. Steam and diesel.
Class 20 mania.
Couldn't agree more, there is something about these old classics.
Daft thing was, I had bought the JT version as it was needed for a scenario, 6 months later I realised it came with the RHTT.
I would never win 1st prize in an observation contest. LOL
20s have grown on me: I used to think they were rather ugly!
Not sure why my screenshots above were rather dark, here’s one again, brightened a little.
