New name for the coaches: Rusterling. ;)

I was continuing my journey with the ICE 1, doing my first run after the scenarios. Taking my time, the usual month is already up :)

A Central Trains Class 156 still in Regional Railways Express livery departs Lichfield Trent Valley with the (at the time, extremely infrequent) all-stations local from Stafford to Coventry via Nuneaton.

Preserved A4 60007 Sir Nigel Gresley rolls sedately into London Kings Cross platform 1, after a 200-mile high speed sprint down from York.

(Thank you so much to hayward.john48 for kindly giving the BR Class 02 to me, I have really wanted this loco and I could not buy it since I live in Australia and it was only available for purchase on Amazon UK. Thanks again! :D )

Just in case anyone doesn’t know the number series for the Green 02 is wrong. The numbers in the DCSV file are those of the 07 not the 02 which should be D2850 to D2869 inclusive. They were built for dock shunting mainly in Liverpool (27A Bank Hall, a very difficult shed to get round!) and Fleetwood (24F). They had a short life due to the traffic being lost to roads. Some found temporary work as shed pilots, Allerton in South Liverpool used at least one for that duty and Burton had one for the “Beer lines” in 1962.

I repainted a BR Green 02 into a fictitious National Coal Board livery. Warwickshire Area was indeed West Midlands Division No. 4 Area and included collieries such as Birch Coppice, Baddesley, Kingsbury, Coventry and Newdigate all of which had steam and diesel locos on site so they might have had an 02 (Birch Coppice certainly had 0-6-0 Sentinels). Minerman's New York Division - Bergen Line, on the Workshop, is a labour of love and detail based on his and his father's (who worked the line) experiences. It is a glorious combination of heavy main line railroading and rural branch lines all in the area of New Jersey/New York state in the proximity of New York City. There are some workshop scenarios mostly set in the now or recent past but I prefer the 1970s when GP7s were in Erie or Erie Lackawanna livery. The shots are from a workshop scenario that uses a Norfolk Southern GP40-2 (a great loco to drive in TS) but 2 x GP7s (repaints in the RWA library of Great Northerner's GP7/9) are my preferred horsepower.
The morning local out of Campbell Hall is at line speed (20mph) first stop Paul's Lane. The same train is seen slowing as it approaches its first stop, it then makes a couple of drops before the end of the line at Walden. Morning local out of Campbell Hall, first stop Paul's Lane. NYD Bergen Line (Workshop).jpg Bound for Paul's Lane on the Walden Branch. NYD Bergen Line.jpg

Just nabbed the Franfurt U-Bahn route in the DTG sale, absolutely blown away with how good it is, graphic quality is amazing.
    Route + 3 x Light Metro Units (U3,U4,U5) 65Km of underground & overground running for £16.99, bargain methinks. :cool::D

Now one for the East Midlands Coal route, which I know doesn't have a lot going for it but has a lot of potential - North Notts NCB 02.jpg

Anyone interested in the repaints drop me a line but you must have the 02 for the .Geo files They have auto numbering 1-9 inc.but can have up to 5 digits if you know how to change a number.

A Green Bay & Western C424 lashup comprising GBW 322, 312 & 319 heads Train #1 on the curve West of Howard climbing at line speed (for now!) to Oneida on its way westwards to East Winona, WI. First stop will be Black Creek interchange, then a number of stops before reaching Wisconsin Rapids in the small hours for a crew change. East Winona, on the Mississippi is approximately 210 miles ahead and is the interchange with Burlington Northern.
Green Bay & Western was swallowed up by Wisconsin Central on 1st August 1993 and subsequently butchered. This section is one of the few sections East of Wisconsin Rapids to remain in use (now Canadian National). GB&W used cabooses throughout its life although in the last years the conductor rode in the loco cab and tail end devices were fitted. The cabooses were used for the back up moves.

Locos are the Diesel Workshop C424 (plus added numbers).

Been waiting for this, couldn't have a shot of Norwood Engine house, Green Bay, WI without the Alco C424s.

C424 by Diesel Workshop, RS11 by Virtual Railroads (my repaint), RS2 and RS3 are Britkits (my repaint).

In the shot all Alcos, C424s, Hi hood RS11#309 (should be chopped nose), RS2s and RS3s.

Uninspired images from a brief Western Branch Lines freight run. Motive power is a Digital Traction GWR Dean Goods tendered steam loco, seen in a BR Lined Green reskin by Jordans Locomotive Works:

Captures from the standard scenario Sunday Start, for the UKTS freeware Heritage route The Lavender Line. Motive power is 0-4-0ST "Invincible". The first part of the run sees the loco take on coal and water, then connect with its carriage/van. The assembled train then travels to the end of the line, all of two miles away, reverses, and returns to the run's departure station.

Bedford Junction Branch is a Workshop route and is fictitious enabling all combinations as you wish. Here two Alco C424s carry out switching duties at Mitchell (about half way down the line). Alcos are famous (infamous?) for the exhaust as the engine picks up (similar to the BR Deltics and for a similar reason). Alcos doing what Alcos do.jpg C424s switching at Mitchell.jpg

Some days ago, on Discord and/or Facebook, CW asked if folk would rather have a new LSWR/SR M7 or an LSWR Adams O2. Kris was surprised when the O2 won hands-down, stating that he thinks the (2013) UKTS O2 is one of UKTS's better British steam locos. I was not aware of the UKTS O2 until then. DL'd it yesterday. For an initial look-see, I plopped it down on Western Branch Lines, simply because one of its QDs was selected in the Menu. Here it is, in Southern Green, hauling a CW SR Van and three Southern coaches. (It's also available in BR Black and BR Dirty Black.):
The O2 handles this load with power to spare. I upped the ante by swapping out the three Southern coaches for two Green MK1s, and moved the train to the newer of our two Portsmouth Direct Line routes. It did well pulling its new load, though for some reason smoke/exhaust never kicked in:

Feeling that the loco still had more pulling power on tap, I added a third green MK1 and moved the train to the earlier Portsmouth Direct Line. Exhaust returned! That said, I noticed neither cylinder LOVE nor safety valve exhaust during any drive:

This is the only of the three QDs I drove to completion. The UKTS Adams O2 drives well. Looks fine too, better than some locos I've shelled out good money for. Alas, it lacks custom cab lean-out cameras, a negative for me. But again, it's freeware, and no worse than too many locos I've paid for in this regard.
