Triple Headed Black 5s on a Railtour through Anglia. One of a few that will be run across various regions of the UK with a massive 15 coach train.
Dug out the 70 for a run down MML Erewash Valley, an EP for the 70 would work wonders! the model is brilliant but the physics & sounds leave alot to be desired! Still fun to drive.
A Class 455 on the South London Network working a mid-day service from London Bridge to London Victoria.
News of the week: Finishing Canadian Mountain Passes photo runs. Runner-up news: Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern finished their merge, now called CPKC. Memes are abundant, also next week our favorite yellow railroad will become USWP - sadly omitting DRGW but it must be four letters. Silly aside, this might open the door to some new liveries (and routes) as there is a working relationship between DTG and CP, even if marginal. Also, for the history books they took two engines in pristine condition, so at last there is precedent for these super clean liveries. (Multiple, actually.) Here is hoping for a quality SD70ACU - with the yellow thingie included. Two representatives: CP SD70ACU and KC ES44AC Coupling-kissing speech 1) Now CPKC - GE ES44AC moves around in the Golden Yard on a spring morning (Canadian Mountain Passes) 2) Morning Lines - Kawasaki M8 as Metro-North Train 1707 (GWD178-179), leaving Harlem for Grand Central (New York - New Haven) 3) Claret Delivery - Class 67 with a guarded set of FGW Mk3s (GWML, Oxford - Paddington) 4) Snow Highball - Siemens ACS-64 southbound (NEC, New York - New Haven) 5) Cab Forward - Comet V leads a night shift service toward New York (North Jersey Coast Line)
Just gave these stunning JGA-K Wagons a run on the MML, how good are these for freeware, recommend them highly. https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c1-train-sim-classic/c87-models/i3473-jga-k-wagon-pack-v14 Also this excellent 6B10 scenario from OTS. 140 minutes of total immersion and pleasure. https://www.ontracksimulation.com/1990s-scenarios.html
Today seemed like a good day for a Railtour so climbed aboard D213 "Andania" for a cruise down the Hope Valley........ .... by the time we got just south of New Mills the mist started to close in ....... ...... as we cruise through the heart of the picturesque Hope - Bamford - Hathersage - Grindleford section we are barely able to see the oncoming signal aspects, let alone the amazing scenery ........ ....... as soon as we exit the tunnel at Dore & Totley we are back to beautiful blue skies. Just have to love the AP Weather EP. Oh, and the discontinued AP Class 40 EP, Tis a shame that anybody new to the game will not get a chance to enjoy the whistler, agreed it was not perfect but still way better than any default DTG DLC, and certainly better than nothing.
Nice set of shots, I also ran that same scenario over the weekend, just love OTS scenarios in general, have yet to come across a bad one. Have you also had a go at the 5x GGS Hook Continental scenarios that come with the "Andania" reskin? also well worth a run.

Sometimes Refresh (F5) is needed. The pictures seem to be loaded by a script and when that fails, it just says the name or alt text. It's supposed to be optimisation so that only a few pictures are loaded near where you browse. Also, posts tend to expand as images are loaded, so it would be really awkward. It's not fun when I have to press End like 20 times to actually view that last post.
Route: Frankfurt-Koblenz, Settle-Carlisle, Semmeringbahn Train: OBB 1116, OBB 1116 Railjet, DB BR 185.1, AP Class 156, DR BR 132. With a months-long PC issue hopefully behind me <crosses fingers>, I can resume posting here. (I could visit the site on my secondary computer, but this image-heavy thread overpowers it, causing the entire browser to lock up tight as a drum.) I did no TSC gaming during my absence. I do, however, have a small backlog of images captured prior to the issue. First up, a thirteenth set of captures chronologically documenting a 70-mile stopping passenger service QD, from London Liverpool Street Station to Ipswich, on GEML London Ipswich DTG route. The train consists of a Caledonia Works GER T26 2-4-0 tendered steam loco, seen in GER Wartime Gray, pulling five GER carriages. Three captures at Manningtree: The River Stour:
Nice scenes! Excuse me if you already know. There are some tools at your disposal when taking TSC screenshots. You can manually hide the HUD with F3-F4-F5. You can activate a free camera view with button 8. (If DTG ever remaps it, 4-5 would be nicer.) Fly around with arrow keys, Ctrl-Shift modifier. You can Pause simulation and keep flying around. While paused, stuff doesn't load, but a quick double tap on Pause can fix it. I usually press 2-8-Pause in very quick succession when seeing a promising view, then tap on Pause to let the train get into position. Mouse wheel can zoom the view. It can be an improvement, but it also tends to distort a bit and scenery detail is calculated based on the original view, so terrain and distant objects look basic or weird even, so handle with care.
Is there any way around not having a Pause key? I have a laptop & can only pause with the Escape key & the pause menu in the way.
Oh! The newly released (Caledonia Works) NER Class R! This is definitely on my hit-list. Sadly, between my budget and the UK Pound - US Dollar exchange rate (plus the sales tax my state requires I pay), I must these days wait for one of CW's sales to buy. No sweat, I've other things I need to focus on at the moment anyhow.
I don't know. Apart from installing a USB keyboard! There should be an Fn key. Other than that, torfmeister might have a trick or two.
Sounds and feels realistic. The only weird thing about it is how finnicky the brakes are. The "apply" and "running" positions are very wide, but the 'self-lapped' position is extremely narrow, so it is very very hard to put it in self-lapped as you need to be extremely precise with it. Obviously, I have not driven the real one (nor has anyone still living today afaik), so I do not know if that was a known issue in that class. I can only say that the brakes are quite a bit more finnicky than the other steam engines in the game (including other CW products)
