A few recent screenshots: The DRS 'short set' rumbles across Reedham swing bridge on a beautiful summer's afternoon: A mixed-livery Great Western HST screams along the GWML towards Reading: A Kent Coast express rests at the stop-blocks at London Victoria, having arrived from Ramsgate: And finally; as night descends, the evening peak soldiers on (as do the EPBs!) at London Bridge:
1) Ruhr-Spring - DB Red BR 101 with matching Schnellzugwagen (Hagen - Siegen) 2) Oceanblue-Beige BR 151 with matching UIC-X coaches on the Semmeringbahn 3) Canadian Pacific 9366 (GE ES44AC) leads mixed merchandise over Canadian Mountain Passes 4) Southern Desertic - Rear of a box train pulled by a Cab Forward (Cajon Pass) 5) Camping - DB Red BR 189 with hoppers passing a campsite by the Mosel (Koblenz - Trier)
Excellent shots triznya.andras. I’m such a fan of that first one with the DB Class 101. Your screenshots show that you can still take amazing screenshots without the use of third party enhancements. Well done!
Drove my first lengthy TSC QD in quite a while earlier today: WCML Trent Valley. The stopping passenger covered what I understand to be the extent of the line, from Stafford to Rugby. To head the train, I chose a long-time favorite, Caledonia Works LNWR Greater Britain 2-2-2-2 tendered steam loco seen in Lilac & Cream livery. It pulls five Steam Sounds Supreme / Matrix Trains LNWR coaches. That number proved a good match for the loco. Though slow to accelerate, it ran comfortably at 53-55mph. I could have coaxed more from it, but it burned a lot of water as it was. Late in the drive, I got 60+ out of it and might have gotten more but for an approaching station stop. Only after the run ended did I recall that Trent Valley is not on APS&W's route list. What you see is the route as it looks with APS&W1 season bins hand-installed, rather than theoretically more appropriate APS&W2 bins. I think it looks fine as is, but have since replaced the older SW bins with those from SW2. Pulling out of Stafford Station: I almost forgot to mention that I now use a higher antialiasing setting, allowing overhead cables (among other things) to look appreciably less jaggy. Part 2 (of 2) to follow...
Fourth set of images chronologically documenting a stopping passenger service QD from London Victoria to Raintree (via Herne Hill) on Chatham Main Line DTG route. Motive power is provided by a GAD-enhanced DT LSWR Adams Radial Tank 4-4-2T steam loco, clad in Holly Green livery. It pulls DT LSWR Salmon Coaches. Shortlands:

Fourteenth, final set of captures chronologically documenting a 70-mile stopping passenger service QD, from London Liverpool Street Station to Ipswich, on GEML London Ipswich DTG route. The train consists of a Caledonia Works GER T26 2-4-0 tendered steam loco, seen in GER Wartime Gray, pulling five GER carriages. End of the run, rolling into Ipswich:

Second / final set of images chronologically documenting a stopping passenger service QD from Stafford to Rugby on WCML Trent Valley. The train is headed by a long-time favorite, Caledonia Works LNWR Greater Britain 2-2-2-2 tendered steam loco, seen in Lilac & Cream livery (a Royal Livery). This being my first TSC drive in quite a while, I totally forgot to record individual station names: The set's one non-station capture: The man standing on the station platform seems more realistic than I'm used to seeing in TSC. I'm of course bias, but for me this images comes close to passing for a photographic: No capture beyond this point was deemed worthy of presentation.
A hazy summer's afternoon, just starting to turn chilly as the breeze picks up. The DRS top 'n tail set rumbles across a swing bridge in rural Norfolk en-route between Lowestoft and Norwich. A First North Western Pacer pauses at New Mills Central, erroneously displaying 'Hull' as the destination, rather than the more correct 'Sheffield'. A 'what if' from the 1980s sees a Southern pairing of Schools and S15 classes bursting out of Blea Moor Tunnel at the top of Dentdale and roaring past en-route to Appleby and Carlisle. A well-travelled SVR locomotive takes a breather at Garsdale after a long hard hammering up the 1:100 grades from Culgaith to Ais Gill.

Sixth set of images chronologically documenting a stopping passenger service QD from London Victoria to Raintree (via Herne Hill) on Chatham Main Line DTG route. Motive power is provided by a GAD-enhanced DT LSWR Adams Radial Tank 4-4-2T steam loco, clad in Holly Green livery. It pulls DT LSWR Salmon Coaches. Longfield:
Some captures from an intentionally short drive on GAD's Dorset Coast railway. The train consists of a CW LSWR A12 0-4-4 tendered steam loco, seen in Adams Green, pulling four SSS_MT LSWR Salmon coaches. Bournemouth Central, circa 0455 on a cloudy Summer morning. I forgot to look up the proper Disk Code beforehand. What you see below is pure speculation: A glimpse to the rear as we depart Bournemouth Central: Following a recent CPU/motherboard/RAM swap, I'm now able to use a noticeably higher Antialiasing setting, with no performance penalty. While I appreciate the lack of jaggedness (compared to my pre-upgrade setting), it seems to me that things are a bit too fuzzy / blurry. I like a sharp, crisp image. But I don't like jaggedness. A "darned if you do, darned if you don't" situation I've yet to make up my mind about. Also, there seems to be something lacking in the RWE2+APSW2 combo that was present in RWE2+APSW1 pairing. Something I've yet to put my finger on. Anyone else notice something amiss?
