Colas Rail Class 56s '56113' and '56203' of the Electroputere LDE 3500 model on the front and rear respectively are in charge of 2 wagon RHTT (Rail Head Treatment Train) service 3S71 on the North Wales Main Line. Starting just outside of Chester, England in the United Kingdom on a lovely Autumns morning they will shortly cross over into Wales on an 85 mile run to Holyhead at the terminus of the line without stopping aside from facing adverse signal aspects.

Installment 20 in a multipart pictorial depiction of a mid-Autumn morning stopping passenger service faux Heritage Rail Tour QuickDrive, from Crewe to Holyhead, on North Wales Coast Line, acquired during Steam's Winter 2023/24 sale. Having belonged to LNWR in pre-grouping days, I power the train with a favorite steam-era loco, Caledonia Works' LNWR "Greater Britain", No.3435 "Queen Empress" to be exact, seen in Lilac & Cream livery. Although Greater Britain appears to be a conventional 2-4-2 tender locomotive, it is, in actuality, a 2-2-2-2 three-cylinder compound locomotive. It pulls four LNWR coaches, the last of them an observation coach, which I failed to capture adequately.

This installment sees us departing Llanfair and en route to Borogan.

Southern Interloper - Selhurst Class 205 stands in for an unavailable NSE Class 117 on the last Barking-Gospel Oak service of a wet November night. Seen at, and departing, Leyton Midland Road.

A gloomy night of Spring rain sees British Rail Class 31/1 '31183' command a train of 11 YGH wagons loaded with ballast headed for Barnard Castle, England in the United Kingdom. Starting from the railway yards at Darlington the train has the difficult 17 mile climb to make over the Darlington and Barnard Castle Railway stopping only once at the junction for the Forcett Railway to let another train pass.
