I'm doing a run on GWR line. I think it must be the 'express' passenger service as every signal shows as green and max speed can be 125 mph. But even with throttle lever set to max (notch 7) I can only get up to around 80mph.....with message coming up on top right of screen stating something like 'you are significantly underspeed'. Any suggestions folks?
It looks like you are doing a service in the Class 166 which is limited to 90mph. The messages in the top right of the screen are just the scoring for the game. Driving under the speed limit +30 points. Driving over the speed limit +15 points. Driving significantly over the speed limit 0 points.
The only option for going faster is to do the services with the the HST Class 43. Each train has its own services that are not interchangeable.
