Introduction: Welcome back to the September edition of the Creator's Club Roadmap, I'm TrainGeek08, and today I am going to announce what mods I'm releasing over the next month from a variety of different routes around the world . This Month's Case Studies: (TG08) FCC (377) + (TG08) Thames Test (700) We chat to the OP of this thread, TrainGeek08, to firstly talk about the livery (below) '(TG08) FCC (377)', that released today! Why did you choose to create the First Capital Connect livery? TrainGeek08: "I mean... I made it on the Class 313 last year to great avail, so I thought 'why not make it on the Class 377?' It looks different and I feel like I've done it justice." How long did the livery take to complete? TG08: "It took me 1 hour and 50 minutes to complete this livery. Just goes to show that I was not mucking about with this one. It had to be detailed, especially following on from 390119 Revamped." What was the most difficult part of the design? TG08: "Getting those dynamic lines sorted. It took me 50-55 minutes to do them. However, the long wait was worth it in the end!" How accurate do you feel is the livery compared to its IRL counterpart? TG08: "I feel like the livery is very accurate to the real counterpart. I used real reference images to great effect to aid with this." Are there any other former UK TOC's you'd like to recreate? TG08: "Possibly. It just depends on whether I decide to create them or not. I might do, I might not. Keep an eye on the Roadmap as always!" Which part of the livery are you most proud of? TG08: "The Dynamic Lines! Took ages to execute them, but I pulled them off! Very happy with them." We then ask TrainGeek08 to discuss the scenario (below) '(TG08) Thames Test (700)', that will release in a couple of weeks. What is 'Thames Test' about? TrainGeek08: "Whether Thameslink can run a service serving Maidstone West. They tried serving Maidstone East, but COVID paid dividends to that. So, why not try the other main station in Maidstone by replacing a Luton-Rainham service per hour with a Luton-Maidstone West service instead?" How long does the scenario take to complete? TG08: "The scenario takes 30 minutes to complete. It's a good run as well. Contains a mixture of adverse signals with clear green signals in the middle of the scenario!" Are there any unusual operational challenges during the run? TG08: "Of course. You have to execute a reversal at Strood. This is a rare movement outside of the Medway Valley units positioning themselves from Gillingham to the MVL in the early morning or vice versa in the late evening. What was the most challenging part of creating it? TG08: "Trying to fit my fictional diagram in between not only the Medway Valley stoppers, but also the traffic through Medway, which is busy as it is..." If this service became real, what operational changes might be needed? TG08: "Interesting question... The Medway Valley timetable would need to be reworked to accommodate the Thameslink service per hour as if the timetable was unchanged, you would end up following stoppers as you get closer to Maidstone West or Strood." What feedback are you hoping to receive from players? TG08: "I'm hoping that you all will enjoy the changes from adverse signals through Medway, to clear signals around Strood towards Snodland, before you receive adverse signals again as you catch up to the Medway Valley stopper ahead of you near Aylesford." Thanks to TrainGeek08 for taking the time to answer those burning questions for us . Conclusion: Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this one, put your thoughts below as ever . From me, TrainGeek08, I'll see you soon for another CC release announcement, enjoy the rest of your day and goodbye . Release date changes: N/A
