DTG JD Sorry to tag you, but will the TGV Reseau stay on Steam after the free promotion?

 

I'm sure people might not be surprised that the Over Height pantographs have not been fixed

Only 4 and a bit years since release.

Sorry for the bump, but it seems it has been withdrawn from sale from Aerosoft's site. This seemingly means the pack is now no longer available to purchase.

 

I presume Aerosoft purchased a number of keys to resell and they have run out.

 

I actually spoke to them about the possibility of running out of keys a few years ago; they said they could just keep on generating new ones. This leads me to believe there was a different reason for it.

 

Would that only apply whilst the item was still on Sale as I thought DTG had withdrawn the pack?

I meant to try the Resau set on the NEC to see how high the panto was to the wires

 

Nope, I bought it long after it had been withdrawn from Steam. I'm not sure when Aerosoft actually removed the TGV Reseau, I might be able to use the Wayback Machine to get a rough estimate. Perhaps it could have something indirectly to do with the TGV Reseau being brough back when they did that French event? I'm just speculating though.

It's a pity. It seems like something that would be relatively easy to fix. Not as easy as the standalone Class 117 DLC which is just a five minute fix that you can do manually, but I still believe DTG should have at least tried.

Annoyingly, if someone does create a fix for it and sends it to Dovetail, they won't do anything about it. They just don't care about anything a month after it releases.

 

I still like it and don't really bother with the panto. Not a pro loco, but still a must have for me. Cab is modelled nicely and it's fun blastin through France's great high speed lines.

Some adjustments made to throttle input sensitivity and cab sway, et allez!

After 399kmh the speedo stops recording - Spikee1975 any thoughts?

That's a lovely reskin, where did you get it?

As for the speedometer, I assume they never bothered to code in numbers above 399 resulting in a nil value. Strange, considering the simulation is effectively a copy and paste of the Duplex. Luckily I don't know enough about the real train to be that bothered about the sounds and simulation, but it does seem like a cop-out regardless.

Shame, that quite iconic orange SNCF reskin is not included in that mega pack. Can't find it anywhere.

 

At the moment I don't have it on my computer as Steam seems to have deleted the files
I'm looking thru a number of backup downloads.
