Can you please abide by the rules of this thread, Please limit chat to only when absolutely nescesary. Whether it has red, green, white, yellow lights, you do not need to comment. DTG Jamie is more than capable of selecting what is or what is not acceptable.
A Class 90 mail train overtakes a Class 56 hauled freight sat in the loop. Yes there are AP enhancements etc. included in the the shot, don't care, I know it will be disqualified but posting a possible winning shot is a waste of time as it will more than likely never appear on the loading screen even if it wins. For the second time this year I appear to have have won the comp (last week) but am am yet to see my winning shot top of the loading screen. I supposedly won week 22 but my winning shot was replaced with the week 20 JJTimothy Riviera shot which 6 weeks later is still on display. My winning shot from last week is yet to be uploaded. I would imagine DTG might get round to it on Monday, at the earliest (Not holding my breath), meaning my winning shot will be up top of the loading screen for a max of 4 days. Whoopee-do. I really do not see why any of us should continue to offer our time and effort to create free loadscreen / publicity content for DTG when they can't be bothered to even acknowledge our contributions. [REMOVED - Alex - Threatening Behaviour]
My freighttrain being overtaken by another freighttrain on the bridge on B&O Mountain Subdivision route on an early morning. Locos: MtnSub GP40-2 CS Running+Western Maryland SD35 Route: B&O Mountain Subdivision
A trio of Union Pacific triclops SD60M's lead an eastbound Autorack track around a slower SP coal drag with trackage rights along UP's Marysville Subdivision sometime in the summer of '94. The SP connected to the line in Topeka off the former Rock Island line to Herington Kansas, and had trackage rights to Kansas City. Route: Granger Heartland: Kansas City to Topeka Locomotives: EMD SD60M, GE C44-9W
I support your complaint about not getting your prize, but you can't complain about people like me pointing out if you've broken the rules. In any competition if a player breaks the rules to their advantage the other players are going to cry "foul", that's just the way it is. Anyway here's my competition entry for this week: A1 Tornado on the East Coast Mainline route. Since DTG are repeatedly failing to give out the winner's prize I may as well submit this as anything else. DTG sort yourselves out. This competition is badly run.
ROUTE: Chiltern Mainline LOCO: BR Class 68, BR Class 121 Class 68 overtaking a Class 121 at West Ruislip station on its way to Marylebone Station.
Sorry to argue but SD and GP 40 have three equal size fans SD and GP35 have two large and one smaller in between so the locos are SD35s as they have 3 axle trucks.
Thank you for your support, it is much appreciated. I really feel it is time that DTG started to recognise the time and effort we all contribute to this thread, imagine training for the olympics, winning gold, but not having the chance to stand on the podium to receive your medal. I appreciate winning the olympics and this screenshot thread are at extreme ends of the competition spectrum but the same principals should still apply. If DTG do not have the resource / personel to run this comp efficiently then at least have the courtesy to inform us all or close this thread altogether. P.S. That is one cracking Tornado Shot
Overtaken 100% in agreement with the above statements. If a reward / prize is offered in any competition it should always be honoured in a professional & timely manner, not as a lottery.
Love it, you do realize that might have a chance of winning as it only includes official DTG content.
The Amtrak California Zephyr passing a westbound coal train just outside of Helper Utah. Locomotives: EMD F40PH and EMD SD40T-2 Route: Soldier Summit-Helper to Salt Lake City
The Amtrak Empire Builder passing a BNSF train as it leaves Glacier Park Station. Locomotives: [WB] GE P42DC and GE ES44DC Route: Marias Pass
Same place but from different angle. My freighttrain being overtaken by another freighttrain on the bridge on B&O Mountain Subdivision route on an early morning. Locos: MtnSub GP40-2 CS Running+Western Maryland SD35 Route: B&O Mountain Subdivision
Route: Munich-Augsburg Trains: DB BR 403 ICE 3, DB BR 101. A replacement S-bahn being overtaken by a ICE.
A Class 474 on the S-Bahn is overtaken by a couple of Class 648s running empty to Lüneburg as a Class 112 heads north to Hamburg. Route: Hamurg - Hannover Locos: DB BR 474, DB BR 648 x2, DB BR 112 + Dopplestock
Corris No 7 is reluctantly overtaken by some cars as it struggles to gain traction on the long climb to Maespoeth in typical Welsh weather. Route: Corris Railway Loco: Corris No 7
We have had some issues with the screenshots uploading this should be sorted, as I said I don't upload the screenshots to the game, will keep an eye in future to make sure its gone up.
Has the issue been told they can't finish work on Friday until the winning screenshot is in its proper slot and live? Has the put-live person's manager been told that if the person is away they must find someone else to do the task?
Decided I'd try my luck here. Historic Freight Train (DB BR 52) letting a Regional Express (DB BR 143) pass. Route: Ruhr Sieg Line
Headlights ablaze, two services from adjoining lines compete for the same section of track. No prizes for guessing which of the two received priority overtaking permission. Locos:- DB BR44, DB BR103 Trans Europe Express. Route:- Wultachtalbahn / Immendingen - Lauchringen
Probably because it's obvious that the TEE gets the priority because it's express train with passangers. Meanwhile the BR44 is a steam train with cargo.
Hence the shot and why it was posted, with a perfect description. The theme is overtaken and this shot fits the theme perfectcly. Why do you have to post your comments when the thread rules clearly state Other Rules: Official content only. Please make sure anything that is not available on the Steam Store or Dovetail Store is not shown in the screenshot. - This means no reshade, repaint mods, track upgrades or workshop routes. View excluded content: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/screenshot-contest-excluded-routes-and-locomotives.31092/ Your entry may be disqualified if it is deemed to not follow these rules.
