When you pose gantry manually, is there a way to connect the wire which that one poses with auto gantry system?

cActUsjUiCe As DTG seem to be rather busy elsewhere at the moment, could you possibly share with us how you smooth or conform track sections to the landscape to create cuttings and embankments. This is probably the last of the "beginner" enigmas that needs to be solved.

    Thanks in advance.

Haven't done this in ages, but give this a try. I have no idea if this will work or is even what you're looking for.

Network Edit Mode -> Edit the Start/End Height of Track Curves tool (8th from top) -> then tick Snap to World. I don't actually know how to use the tool beyond that.

Are you in "attach linkable objects to track" mode when you select the signals?

But with normal Signals it works fine. Just when I try to select the Niddertalbahn Signals I placed all over my map, the editor crashes

Thankfully, I've found this "the mother of the PC Editor Forum" thread in the deepest depth of the Forum. There is so much useful information in here, that I wonder why this wasn't pinned by a mod.

Many of the questions I raised in the past could have been answered here, but I wasn't in the forum where this thread were active and noone hinted me that something like this exists otherwise.

Took me actually several days to read through the 11 pages.

I have a few things I either want to double down or ask back.

The problem is at least in terms of route creations and due to the missing cooking functionality, we don't even have the opportunity to release the final creation anywhere else for free. The technical premise is not even given.

So I would like to ask DTG the question: What happens to route projects you're either not interested to support or do just not fit the requirements for an official release through the third party programme?

Providing the opportunity to release routes through the Creators Club would be amazing, although I guess it's technical hurdles probably make it inpracticable to implement. However, you should really find a way how route projects not participating in the third party programme can be shared between customers of Train Sim World as this is not a thing we can have an influence on but is really vital for many creations.

Just had a conversation going in the Discussion Forum with a user who explicitly asked for "How can we share our creations when it's ready/ whether we can share it through something like the CreatorClub or not?" and this seemed to be a massive reason for him to start or not start their project. I've said to him, it would not matter to me much at the moment but the more I think about that the more I doubt about what happens to my own project when it ever will be at a state that I can claim it being "finished" and whether it makes sense to continue my project if there is no reasonable end to see where other players can use and have fun with it.

If you're not have the capacities and time to improve the Editor nor giving us lessons how to use the tools, at least this is very vital for a lot of creators. Find a way to get the Editor cooking and paking route projects so that we can share them amongst community members. And the better of course if it all happens on your server side, that we also would never infringe any copyright by you and you can handle it all under your own roof.

    Really, really important.

A common asset library/pack/plugin would really help a lot. I mean me personally I purchased a lot of DLCs only for maybe getting a few assets from them (I didn't even played these routes yet). And the same goes for players of your projects. I doesn't make sense that they have to acquire a certain DLC just to get a certain type of tree, building other scenery element from it.

Another issue is that finding assets would be a lot more useful if we have like one library of common used assets and we wouldn't need to fiddle through the browsers to search and get them each individually. Would save a lot of time, which could be used so much more on improving or extending the route if it were possible otherwise.

This would be a thing I really would have wished Lukas had covered in his masterclass. He intended to do that, but for some reason he failed (I think it was because of functionality he missed in the public Editor).

Blender tutorials are out there indeed, but how you actually building stations or other track related assets using this method would be very helpful for us to know.

Same goes for that. I urgently need a tutorial on how you as first party set up tunnels and do the lightbaking process the right way.

    This looks very interesting.
Matt, how are you able to use a loco as static mesh or static mesh blueprint? Where is the loco stored as a static mesh blueprint? I only found the way to spawn locos and rolling stock through the timetable Editor.

And in which Network Edit submode where you to be able to snap this to the track?

Thank you for the tip. I know of trainsimcz's amazing work before.

However, I know from another route creator that this mod did not work for them. Did not had the time to test it myself, but I guess this fix might will have problems cooking routes of 10 or 15 Gigabytes with over several hundred of thousands single object instances on them.

An official way from the developer that is dedicated for that would be much better, if not still necessary.

Anyway, the hosting and sharing of the final project amongst players still keeps a problem. A DTG owned platform like the CreatorClub for routes would probably be the best way to handle it, in terms of copyrights but also accessibility.
