  1. Easter Eggs? You mean in the route?

Edinburgh and Glasgow has at least one a secret room in Edinburgh (I think) train station....

Hl-system of signals used across Nahverkehr Dresden and Dresden-Chemnitz is soviet-compatible, so the logic is transferable to Czechia or for example Poland very easily. It's just a matter of modelling few new signalposts and changing couple specific aspects (that are probably not implemented anyway), but the programming can be carried over.

You are correct that means you can make the following routes Görlitz Görlitz Moys Lauban Liegnitz Breslau Schlesien. Remember towns in Poland must use German names if they have one because it's going to be hard for a German speaker to pronounce the Polish name of that City itself that is why I use the German names. Also affects the Czech Republic too because it used to be part of Austria-Hungary KkStb system.

No, if we use my really accurate prediction there will be three new routes, so two new each route.

Technically 1/2, as we had the ES44AC in game from SHGs, and the ES44C4 is just a slightly different model in the same GEVO line.

And the average user isn't gonna know the difference between an ES44DC, ES44AC, and a ES44C4

Thank you for the clarification. So not one DLC in TSW3 had two new locomotives.so if we get 3 DLC and 3 new locos would be an improvement over last year.

One new loco per route is the de facto standard for TSW routes and there have only been a handful of exceptions since the first TSW game was launched. The very earliest routes had more locos because they were the first routes of their kind but since the first few and the next first of its kind with SoS, one is the norm, two is a rare bonus.

How many trains exist? Let's take UK, USA and GER. How many of them can be licensed? I just wonder what's the limit of what this game can cost if we don't count liveries.

Spot on and for the ones in the game 3250-3299 they were built in 2020-2023 making them the newest locos in the game. They should have been made as 6500-7199 2009-2014 build or 2014-2015 builds 7921-8399

Technically none of the US trains are licensed (as far as EMD and GE are concerned) , as the builders plates are missing their logos.

But pretty much any EMD, GE, ALCO, Baldwin, etc are fair game as long as DTG has a license for an operator in game for them.

For the Alcos they can go from their 1960s products and the World War II era RS-1 RSD-1 which then became the Russian TEM-1 to TEM-3 locos

MML HST is a completely new model with no connection to the GWE version. Different interiors and engines were created. Furthermore the GWE version was built using older techniques which have since been superceded.

Seems v quiet around here these days, I'm guessing all the usual posters (LM,Jetwash etc) are now beta testers for the next update? Would be good if so, they always have an eye for detail.

  28. In Edinburgh I think its under some escalators? Just look around. If you can't find it I'll take a screenshot.

I wish we had 5 secret rooms and 5 special easter eggs for each route..... And maybe a puzzle or two to solve as well...

There's usually a few next to each ticket office. The one at Waverly is next to Platform 14. There's lifts at Edinburgh park and Edinburgh Waverly. Haven't found one at Haymarket yet.

Keep an aye out for haggis as well!

The route crosses into Germany, so I would say it's going to count as the "German" route.

    Service[edit]
Santa Clarita station in the Soledad Canyon
The Antelope Valley Line has 19 trains each way between Union Station and Lancaster on weekdays and six trains each way on weekends.[16] As a commuter rail service, most weekday trains on the Antelope Valley line run during the peak morning and evening hours with the majority of trains operating southbound toward Los Angeles in the morning and northbound away from Los Angeles in the evening.[16] There is limited mid-day and reverse commute service (northbound in the morning and southbound in the evening). Weekend service is more evenly spaced throughout the day.

As of the June 2016 timetable, only eight trains operate the full route from Lancaster to Los Angeles on weekdays and nine trains operate the full route from Los Angeles to Lancaster. Four southbound trains on weekdays originate in Palmdale and end in Newhall. The next available train with service to Los Angeles arrives in Newhall within 45 minutes. Most of the short turn trains have connecting North County TRANSporter bus service that takes passengers to or from the Palmdale station. All weekend trains operate the full route.

Two trains on weekdays operate on an express schedule in the peak commute direction (one train southbound in the morning and one train northbound in the evening) between Palmdale and Los Angeles making stops only at the Santa Clarita, Sylmar/San Fernando and Downtown Burbank stations.

If someone saw the word "Antelope," it would be pretty easy for them to perform a search based on that, and become convinced that the Antelope Valley Line was coming. Then, this person could even drop some hints like "76.6 miles" and "sunshine," because they thought they were right.

However, just the word Antelope suggests something different to me; if guessing based on that alone, I don't see why the Roseville Subdivision is out of the question, and a few others have spoken of Donner Pass as well. So don't despair before we've even had Dovetail Direct. You can despair after that

Also allow me to be the first to inform you that DTG will require a full-priced purchase of the Metrolink Antelope Valley Line with 38 total services if you want to access that new and improved NYT timetable. Happy driving!

Metrolink Antelope is disappointing on several levels - as many have mentioned here already, there are only a handful of daily passenger services, and this is a relatively obscure US commuter route with lower ridership that its contemporaries in other US cities. For the freight lovers out there, I suppose this will come as welcome news, and my congratulations to you all. That said, adding LA to the list of US routes will add some variety, and it will be interesting to see how they model the LA skyline.

Personally, I would have preferred a rapid transit route for the US addition - NYC, Chicago, San Francisco, DC, Atlanta, even LA. Oh well. Hope we get a much-requested US rapid transit route in the future.

-A handful of intermodal trains a day.....
-Only 1 potential opportunity for a local freight, no real yards aside from 1 intermodal terminal.....

Its hardly even a freight route.

Yeah...seems like Antelope - if this indeed the US route - wasn't terribly well-advised. I'll still buy on day one, I'm a sucker for US pax, maybe they'll surprise me and blow it out of the water.

Since they have the Metrolink license (assuming this is the route, and assuming the trains will be branded), perhaps this is a precursor to DTG acquiring the rights for Metro, which would open up some cool possibilities - Blue Line, Expo Line, Gold Line (I think Red/Purple is unlikely given that both are entirely underground, save for the yard south of Union Station).

All speculation. Nevertheless, I'm very interested in what DTG has in their US pipeline.

No UK route identified? I'm very glad Dresden is being revamped. Always found this to be an amazing route but in TSW 3 it got on my neglect list. I don't know the Antelope route but from the descriptions on the forum it sounds like a typical TSW US base route.

the US route seems kinda borning ngl, kinda an odd choice imo for the large yearly release. dont know much of the Austrian route. The UK route better be good to keep my interest. but this is at least the first real confirmation of the TSW4 name, unless its a troll from DTG
