The new routes were a Rush Hour. Aside from nomenclature, the rollouts were very similar- including the re-download of all previously owned content. In fact, RH was a touch worse because it trashed almost all the TSW2 mods people had; 6 didn't do that.

TSRs and train faults are a better reason for an upgrade. Whether or not they work as intended doesn't matter, it's the idea of them that sells.

l agree with your comment about the pointless practice of releasing a “new” game every year.

This game needs properly fixing rather than releasing yearly games with the same issues and the laborious practice of having to reinstall all your content into a new game, which due to a slow non fibre internet service l receive, l am still doing continuous installing. I have bought everything for Xbox and for steam apart from Cardiff and Zwolle, so just purchased the special addition to get these two TSW5 routes only to find that they are not compatible for TSW5 as well only TSW6 l. I contacted support but by the time l got a response that l have to buy these two routes a third time l was unable to cancel my purchase for a refund. I won’t be doing that again. I have now lost confidence in DTG and cannot see them ever releasing a game edition that isn’t full of the same bugs as previously. As a pensioner l will limit my purchases now to only what l want in future.

The only Christmas present I want from dtg is for some of the games more serious issues to be fixed.

Well, if you want to view things from DTG's perspective, fine.

I post from a player viewpoint. I thought that's what the forums are for.

I can categorically state I can promise that I 100% am not waiting for a new version. I have enough content currently in my collection to not require to spend even £1 on new content unless it adds variety to my existing content. The idea of writing off my considerable investment in DTG products for a 2nd time and starting a scratch (again) will not ever happen. The saying goes something like fool me once shane on you, fool me twice shame on me. Transitioning from TSC to TSW was the first time I was fooled. They will not fool me a 2nd time in transiting to a new train simulator. Thanks but no thanks

The headline features will remain broken and unimplemented by the time TSW10 rolls around?

My idea would be to have the next version for example called "Trainsim world legacy",and make it the last on unreal 4 ,but keep supporting it with bug fixes and patches like when they used to have the preservation crew for all the older content, also maybe Keep it open for smaller or third party developers to still make something new,Then move over to a brand new version in unreal 5 (I think personally that subway rivals is a test for a new serious Trainsim)

Maybe you can make a full suggestion of train sim world legacy
    because I'm more curious afterward

If another game is released, it should be the last one, not a number, but a title. All new content should be released on the TSW if that's the focus.
And then it should also be the last reinstall.

Do you mean aoart from the blurry textures?, train faults happening every 39 seconds? Red lights preventing you from finishing services? Scenarios which are impossible to complete? Occasionally crashing? Poor FPS if there’s more than 2 other trains in your fov? Dynamic weather which results in thunderstorms 9 runs of out 10 in 9 months of the year? Driverless AI trains? Passengers jumping on tracks in front of you? Cars passing over crossings with barriers down? Flying cars?

yeah I don’t see any issues either

    Yes,
    those are clear issues.
They should at most resolve that,
and then whatever other issues might arise.

The difference is that TSC is still active thanks to several third-party developers who have free access to the program.
TSW is under the strict control of DTG.
If they decide to "pull the plug," the whole thing is over in a flash.
That means they could decide to stop publishing anything (or not allow it) at any time.

After all, the fact that many users are crammed with content (which is quite expensive, after all) is a given.
However, the feeling of having a program in a "vegetative" state is the thin line on which DTG can play its trump cards, with a new program (UE5) that everyone ends up buying, since there are no valid alternatives on the market.

A vegatative TSW would actually be an improvement right now, let’s not forget the DB Red vectron safety systems AP scoring is still broken following an update to include Netherlands safety systems months later. At least a completely abandoned TSW will mean nothing else will break

Not a lot more for me. Just train faults that were more like game bugs in actual fact as happened way too much and announcements on the new routes but not backporterd to the original routes or even forthcoming dlc it seems.
in fact I just went for the free upgrade so Un enamoured was I.

Get rid of route hopping and route merging with timetables corresponding for the relevant route.

Ideally a WCMLS extension Birmingham - London would be 10/10 for me with the Northampton loop.

I'm low-key waiting on the class 730 too!

    Fixed announcements

The one thing DTG could introduce which would solve more issues than any other would be DLSS compatibility

    I don't want TSW7. I want TSW 6.1 with bugs fixed.

Honestly just being able to replace the TAA with DLAA, yes pelase.

I do worry though for some of the locos with overly sensitive brakes that crash into emergency at the slightest overly long hold, if the added latency if they allowed frame gen may cause a bunch of complaints from users who keep shrieking to a halt on some routes and don't understand why.
