There is an closed variant at this point, so maybe two months or three?
But I don’t know, it could also be a year or two until the editor will come out, but DTG will answer this question at a point, we don’t know...

that's fantastic news to hear since it makes everybody life so much easier since it takes out the stress and frustration of constantly being asked when something new is being added to consoles excellent job DTG

A year or more to have an editor ? Well, TSW is realy good but as for all simulator, it's know by everyone that people want to do their own skins or weathering. So an editor should have been designed while building the simulator. I realy don't understand this mistake as those who support a game are those who play it and it becomes realy frustrating to continue without the ability to create like for MSTS, Trainz or Train Simulator 19. If nothing is done quickly, TSW will slowly die :(

As I said, it could also be just a month or two, and I think with 1or 2 years I was a bit prematurely... I think it won’t be a year or more until the editor will come out.

^Bear in mind this is done to an extremely limited extent. Any changes you make will apply to all trains across the fleet so you cannot currently have unique repaints or specific train details or anything like that.

    TrainSim-Matt I have another question:
We aren’t able to use reprints on consoles right now, right?
So DTG could bring a repaint pack for consoles (like for the Br185.2 an SBB Cargo design or a Bls locomotive repaint) as reward for the community challenges (for soon challenges)

It's because you can't access your game directory to install them. Also console versions of TSW might have a different file structure, which would require reskins to be packed differently.

I'm quite looking forward to what 'tested' third party stuff comes about, but I certainly won't be delving into and altering my own files because I'll totally balls everything right up.... Guaranteed....

Really looking forward to the editor, it wont be as weird as the TS2019 one with giant speakers, domes and such like to highlight certain ambient placements.

I hope the closed beta testers are well known route builders who will publish some insanely good stuff once it's released :D

I'm hoping one of them is LtBligh, who made Adriana County, Majestic Falls, and Blackwood Creek. His routes are extremely well-done.

And hopefully Thompson interactive, he made the Berninarailway, the Arosa railway and maybe he could make another Swiss route (maybe a normal gauge railway this time, or the Glacier Express from Zermatt to St. Moritz...) for the TSW!
But I think we have to be patient!

Yes, Rapid Transit is part of the core retail pack, that's the only way to pick it up.

Note: It's currently £15.99 (down from £39.98) on the dovetail store - great time to pick it up as that's much cheaper than the price of one new route, let alone getting four! (on PC)

You need the TSW base game. To play the dlc packs.
If youre on PC. Buying the Train Sim World (base) game gives you: CSX Heavy haul, Rapid Transit, Great Western Express and NEC.
All the other routes are dlc add ons that need the base game in order to work.

The same here. I hope Sony's late launch of 182 has not influenced the update :)

I've been on a few forums and I cannot seem to get a straight forward answer. I have tsw ps4 and I love it, but it left alot to be desired.
1.) When are we console players getting something like the GE_AC4400CW ?
2.) If it is in the works when can we realistically expect to see locomotives like this?

No one at DTG will disclose dlc info until its announced. Hang tight. Given that US content is due an addition. Id be thinking not only will you get a loco, but theres a route coming too.

    Hey everyone,

I recently got the BR 182 and - as service mode is my favourite part of TSW - was looking forward to seeing it on freight services on MSB.

I can choose the 182 in the list of locomotives on the route to run a service, but when in game I'm yet to see any freights hauled by anything other than the 185s.The 143s from RSN pop up often enough, but no 182s - and I've seen maybe 30(+) freight services in game since getting the 182 add-on.

Does anyone know if this is a bug, or...?

It's possible that they don't appear as AI because DB Regio BR 182s wouldn't be on freight trains in real life.
