Even though the LIRR timetable is pretty lacking as of now, resulting in a deserted feeling route most of the time, in my last two services I had some pretty nice encounters. In this one I already passed an M7 as going towards Woodside. Then as arriving there were another two M3s on the station. So that's 4 trains at Woodside almost at the same time, pretty neat. Then on my next service I was leaving Penn station and just as I left the tunnel I saw the reflection of headlights from behind me. So I switched views to look back and see there is another M3 just next to me. It was pretty amazing seeing the two trains racing each other, but then the game decided to give me a red and give the other M3 way. Though I found that pretty stupid because there are like 4 tracks going to Woodside, but turns out it was because we were routed to the same platform. I almost ended up rear-ending him because I didn't see the yellow before the station, lol. But after the M3 in front of me left Woodside I was allowed to arrive, and just as I was waiting to leave, another M3 rolls in on the other platform. So Woodside seems to get some pretty nice action sometimes. Wish there was a better timetable so we could see more like this around the LIRR. Also need the parked units on the sidings like in the scenarios.
Some screenshots i have been told to post here to show them off from the facebook group. hope you enjoy
Man the countryside scenery looks so good on these UK routes, compared to other routes where the close trackside scenery is well done but 50 meters from the track, and distant mountains look ugly. But this is really pretty. Such a shame I'm not really interested in UK stuff, but the routes seems really well done.
My best ride on a Class 20 so far - the 6E48 leaving Eaglescliffe for Redmire. It was a bit draughty!
...and a few more from Oakville Sub (featuring 2 unit trains I put together using the Hamilton Explorer scenario):
...just a few pics from the Peninsula Corridor route (4th and King St. station, downtown San Francisco).
Tees Valley Line, the 37 caught creeping through a yard while the 31 begins the morning cement run out of darlington. Both edited with phone before upload
With CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control) implemented in LIRR, trains can now run much closer than before to provide a more frequent service:
Spot the error: 47548 pauses at a very wet Huddersfield with a late-running oil train one summer's evening in 1982
Some boxcars spotted outside of the CSX Shops. Looks like they are getting ready for some new paint on these.
I think i’ve spent most of my hours driving both the ICE and the Bakerloo Line. The Talent 2 is cool but i like the LZB / PZB challenge.
