For fans of metro north don't forget Harlem line
This great, hopefully they’ll expand from here, and allowing Amtrak and LIRR and hopefully NJT to run coherently. This would make penn station so real!!!! And hopefully a MNRR will come next, where Amtrak can still be apart especially if they do a Stamford line or something related
Just so you know. The NEC route and LIRR will not be merged.
Hey this is a idea for services on lirr
broken equipment and you have set the bad order car in a siding then recouple and complete service
Assemble trains for am rush
And. Maybe some Amtrak AI moving in and out of penn sta either to Newark or sunny side
There won’t be any Amtrak in this DLC.
Ok no Amtrak
Which tracks will lirr use at penn station.
I’m not quite sure. I the terminal tracks.
Kinda weak tbh.. they couldn't bring it further than hicksville? it's not even a terminal in real life right?
It’s 42 miles. That’s one of the longer routes.
Thank God for that.
This route is actually long by TSW standards. You're lucky they didn't just do Penn Station to Jamaica. That's what I originally thought they would do.
They at least should have add Amtrak arrivals and departures at Penn Station. (Performance bla bla bla)
And fixed the NEC signals on the tunnels, now they apparently got it right for the dlc. Tbh, I'm not expecting absolute nothing from them.
Sounds good! I’m looking forward to it.
Beautiful news and beautiful line!
In my dreams of railfan I hope to see a different "livery" trains along the LIRR line. Where as livery I mean also just a little particular like different driving car mask colour (where the default train mask colour is yellow) or graffiti along some train cars. And yes, If along the line we can admire some NEC passengers and freight service in action (NEC DLC trains, all driven by AI) it will be a great jump forward for this "vanguard" title. C'mon Dovetail, C'mon guys!
We can begin to studying the new route. If I dont missed we'll run along the "grey line" between Penn, Jamaica and Brooklyn terminal. And maybe (I hope) a part of Queens line.
And here there is the line from New York Penn to Jamaica hub (with the iconic building over the railway along the line at minute 13.10)
If you look at your map what is included is the following:
-Grey line from Penn station and Long Island Island City to Jamaica.
-Grey line from Atlantic Terminal (City Terminal Zone) to Jamaica
-Yellow line from Jamaica to Hempstead Branch
-Blue Line from Jamaica to Hicksville
-And the little purple part to Belmont park
I'm curious to know how this perform on my base Xbox one. I hope the schedule will be just as full or even greater than GWE's. A sufficient amount of A.I traffic would keep me playing this route for ages. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best.
It's looking really, really good. I like that a couple of branches are included, this gives a bunch more variety than simply going back and forth from A to B.
Two question: is there a CIS? Do the trains have a destination indicator or something?
Is it correct that the insulators of the third rails are placed on every second sleeper? I think the spacing should be wider! Who can clarify?
If you look on the preview picture on the YouTube video above you can clearly see that the spacing of the insulators are wider.
What if, they did the Riviera Line in the 1930s when it was still part of the Big Four.
Will there be any Express trains to drive or will every train stop at every station? And what is the max line speed please?
I don’t know the schedule very well, but there will be some express services. Max line speed is 80 mph.
Great. Thanks Anthony
I really hope the sounds are accurate.
Once the editing tools come out, we should expect to see the branches we’d like to operate!
Was there any mention of a livestream?
In the future, maybe. DTG are still working on investigating if it's possible at all on UE4.
From the latest studio update:
But DTG themselves could do extensions to their routes since they have the source files.
I agree with all the NEC train is questionable, the route is nice but LIRR is miles better, glad I got the TSW bundle on a sale with NEC included, id be annoyed if i payed full price for it. £24.99 is worth it for LIRR
