Route: Oakville Subdivision Trains: GP38-2 CN, Class 66 EWS, GP9RM CN Canadian National GP38-2 4732 and four brand-new English, Welsh & Scottish Railway Class 66s trundle through the sprawling ArcelorMittal Dofasco steel plant in Hamilton in Canada. The freshly-built EWS locomotives (from Electro-Motive Diesel's factory in London, Ontario) are headed to the docks to be shipped to the UK to begin work. Meanwhile, CN GP9RM 4147 shunts three-bay hoppers.
Route: Oakville Subdivision Trains: GP9RM CN, Class 66 EWS Canadian National GP9RM 4154 and four brand-new English, Welsh & Scottish Railway Class 66s wait in a yard in Hamilton in Canada. The GP9RM has just towed the locomotives from Electro-Motive Diesel's manufacturing plant in London, Ontario, and will shortly move them to the Hamilton docks to be shipped across the Atlantic. Clearly on show are each continent's preferred locomotive design characteristics.
