A local freight train waits for a transfer service to depart at Oak Point Yard. Route: NEC Loco: CSX GP38-2 PS: Does anyone know how to take higher res screenshots on Xbox in TSW? Mine look 720p or lower!
Press the Xbox button. Scroll across to the Capture & Share tab. Select Capture settings. Duration, resolution and more. Scroll across to Capture Scroll down to Game clip resolution. Select 1080p SDR.
I have done that, however the resolution is still low compared to other screenshots seen in the contests. Idk if this is a technical issue or if I should post it a different way here on the forums. I have to log in to my MS account and screenshot the screenshot I took in order to make an entry, as I’m not on PC!
Or or, maybe the res of the screenshots are at max (4K, on my iPad it’s FHD+) and mine is standard 1080p resolution as it is not FHD+.
On the edge of CSX's Cumberland Yard, the massive locomotive shop waits for the next round of locomotives that require an inspection or are in need of maintenance. Route: CSX Heavy Haul Loco: None
An Northeast Regional train slides past CSX's Oak Point Yard during a light mid-summer rain shower. Route: NEC New York Loco: ACS-64
I am not on a PC either - so we should have a common starting point? My first recommendation is upload to Onedrive if you can. Saved image from Onedrive should be 1920x1080 - the same resolution as the exported image from your Xbox. If you are uploading to Xbox Live which is the default and also your Xbox might be uploading to Xbox Live automatically (if your settings are configured this way). When I was first uploading to Xbox Live I used to tap on the image (as I would do in my mobile device's Gallery) to bring up an enlarged image. I'd then press and hold the image until a dialogue box appeared which gave me the options of Save or Choose. When saving images this we the file generated is only 676x380. The alternative method of saving from Xbox Live is to tap the Share icon and select Save. This should generate an image the same resolution as that exported - 1920x1080. You should be able to check the image resolution of the saved copy by tapping Info etc. when the image is opened in Gallery or by Files/File Manager on your device. The only other advice I might offer is that I found the to produce an image of similar quality to those I've seen on the forum/loading screen a little manipulation of the scene maybe required? (Not image editing or anything like that.) From a photographer's point of view it is great to be able to have the freedom to have control over angles, viewpoint, the weather etc. But it's not like a physical camera where you can freeze motion. Hence to obtain an 'acceptable' image you may need to position the train in a set position and motionless. Anything over as little as 20mph seems to have a significant effect on the clarity of the subject. Hope this helps
...swapped out my original contest entries for these two new pics (just like this set better than the first one). Route: Oakville Sub (McAnulty yard, Hamilton Explorer) Train: DPU oil train + grain train (locos not visible)

Hi everyone and thanks for all the brilliant entries, this is certainly one of my highlights of the week. Every entry was excellent this week, Its certainly a tough choice and Its nice to see such a broad spectrum of how the theme is interpreted. I have chosen the one that I thought fit the theme and was a fantastically stylised image, the community all seem to agree too as it has the most likes of all the images. Congratulations to Moog for your fantastic submission, it is a well-deserved win and your submission will appear on the load screens shortly! As it was a dead heat for votes on next weeks theme I thought I would test everyone's creative side, combining them both into a singular theme, lets see what you can do! I have also noticed a few images from people who I haven't seen make submissions from before, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with for next week too.
