Confirmed. Console release timing may vary due to Microsoft's and Sony's own publishing timelines throughout the world.
Matt has said it will be released at midnight
The "Winter Update" was released on Steam today, so everyone should be getting that shortly. Try restarting Steam if you don't see the update yet. It's worth it for the head sway alone.
My update is currently downloading right now.
Hands down, I think that's the longest changelog I've ever seen for TSW
I believe you may be right I cannot remember a update that big and took that long. But happy the update is done and over with. Now it's just the route to download tomorrow.
As they say, it's not the length that counts, it's what you do with it!
So ECW is now long enough?
Frankly there are a lot of things I've been waiting for on that list. Timed departures for MSB. Correct destinations for S8 trains on RRO. No more 3-car ET 422's on RRO. Fixed doors on the Class 166.
In case anyone missed the stream today, it is confirmed you can drive the Class 31, 37, 45 & 47 on ECW as a Railtour service that operates once a day.
I looked on the xbox store and it is 39.99 for tsw routes
And i agree with u steve some people too grow up
DlC is available to download now on Xbox and PS4
If your in the uk like me its £24.99 if not then its probably $39.99
Im downloading it as we speak
Thanks for the information Mikey so we can use more trains on the ECW really appreciate that
Not sure if anyone else has noticed but I’ve noticed they’ve added dynamic weather patterns for the new route, I was playing a rainy night starting at Eastbourne, as I approached Lewes, I noticed this rain has actually turned into snow, further down the line I noticed a gradual build up of snow alongside the tracks
How many of you all booked the day off to play it? Thankfully we close for xmas so i’ll have time then hah
That's not dynamic weather, that's just the temperature system in TSW at work. On some routes if you drive and have it set as rain in colder months, as it gets closer to night when the temperature drops, it starts to turn towards snow. It's pretty neat, but it also is restrictive as for some routes you can't have winter rain for example since it's too cold.
Played for a couple of hours last night and first impressions are really good. The 377 is really nicely detailed with almost all the buttons in the cab pressable and other little things such as the doors between the cars closely slowly as they do in real and being able to set other destinations served by Southern on the Mitrac screen such as Milton Keynes Central and Watford Junction. No destination scrolling on the side or inside of the train unfortunately. I would say the sounds are 90% accurate. The door opening/closing sounds are spot in my opinion as are the air con murmur inside the train and the acceleration/deceleration. The only sound missing from what I could gather is the subtle brake application squeal and sometimes the air con murmur in the cab goes AWOL.
Only other thing would be that from my experience the train accelerates and breaks a little too fast on notch one and the cab sway it a bit over the top but these are minor.
Can’t comment on the route as I’ve never travelled on it before.
The freight scenario is bugged, because i can’t remove the brakes
I completed it just now (PS4). Have you got the panel set right at both ends for the Cut in/out?
Yes F3 and F2 on both sites on the Loco, then he accept it and said the automatic brake to make it on 5 but he not accept it
After I played the Training again, it’s working now because it’s not correct on the scenario to start the Loco, because the thing with the cursor is missing
The only thing I noticed wrong on Cutting Closure was a tail lamp was on the front of the loco and there was no way I could get rig of it. By the end of the scenario when I looked it had gone lol, So wether there was just some delay between me removing it and it actually doing it I'm not sure!
I'll stop reading this page as you'll spoil my surprises am genuinely excited about this, it's still on pre-order If anyone's interested, but not sure if it is but I nabbed it for the 10% off
No, won't spoil it for you. You will enjoy it though that's all I will say.
Tell you something Steve the team have smashed it with east coastway very addictive and the new true to life LED destination train screens are breathtaking as is the cabsway and the clever Mitrac system even telling you when door left open as well and the 200 passenger services bargain for £25
Guys, just a quick question regarding the Br Class 66. Has anyone noticed the airflow meter needle on the ECW Class 66 going way off the charts when releasing the auto brake? The needle almost does a 360 degree turn. Is this how it works or is it maybe a tiny bug? Any info is welcome. The route and rolling stock are beautiful so far. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Nice way to finish of this year. Thank you DTG
The maximum flow rate (in normal operation) it should be able to display is 10 litres per second, read out across 120 degrees of needle movement. It certainly shouldn't be going 360 degrees.
That is what i thought too. The measuring should go to the maximum of 10. I did notice that this happens only when the brake pipe is completely exhausted after a loco shutdown or emergency brake application. If i do normal brake applications the needle goes to 10 litres per second and doesn't go over it. Weird stuff .
EDIT: Forgot to mention that this is happening on the PS4. Will try it out on PC as soon as i download it.
It might go a bit futher with an emergency application, but not more than perhaps 180 degrees from the 0 position.
What service times do the trains split and join
I have only just started on Service Mode but I know of 2 services that involve coupling/uncoupling.
5C01 Empty stock move involves uncoupling
2C73 Seaford-Brighton involves coupling but I have not been able to complete this servcie as the coupling does not work. I have tested coupling in Eastbourne yard and it does work.
2c73 couple up at brighton i believe is a bug, i spent 45 mins trying it out to no avail
Yeah I think so. Even the AI cannot couple.
