Will the new german route feature LZB?
Apparently not, since in the Q&A stream Matt said the route won’t include LZB in it, a bummer for those who wanted it since it’s a very modern route, high speed also.
A loco addon with the DB BR 185.2 and freight cars would be a good addition to that route. DTG could call it DB Cargo freight pack. And a discount for TSW1 owners that own this stuff on TSW1 already would be nice too.
I just don't get it why not... Oh my god dtg you're in a really good way
Is the Talent 2 on the Koln-Aachen route have destination displays?
I think yes, because each german stuff since MSB has it.
But on Rapid Transit it doesn’t. It never had working destination boards, only the BR 182 had em, as well as the doppelstockwagen, nothing else, of course German routes that followed had them, but not RT.
Will TSW 2 be Backwards Compatible with Next Gen consoles? (PS5, Xbox Series X etc.) Or will we have to rebuy the game?
i dont no
The newest Unreal Engine version only just got beta-support for the new console versions. TSW2 is on a much older version. So, it will for sure not be compatible at launch and probably not for a year. The last time the engine update took 9 months to implement, and the required version is not even out yet.
But the Xbox series x and ps5 are backwards compatible so any game that ran on Xbox one or ps4 will run on Xbox series x and ps5. That includes TSW, I would say, since even older versions of Forza and FIFA run on the newer consoles, and will still run.
Not true, PS5 is able to be backward compatible with PS4 games using Unreal Engine 3. The New version (UE5) is only a beta, UE4 is still perfectly fine. The way you are making it seem is if they don’t have the newest version of unreal, it’s not playable which isn’t true.
Realy? I watched the first Q&A stream two times and I can't remember Matt saying anything about LZB. Could you tell me the time-index where he mentions this?
If the Consoles are backwards compatible with previous generation games, then why even ask if they will work? DTG will have nothing to do with that. What im talking about is compatibility to the new generation of consoles for the game.
1) Will the points system remain the same, i.e 30 points for traveling below the speed limit and 15 points for traveling slightly over?
2) Will we still get medals at the end of a service?
3) Will character level be recorded in the same way as TS2020?
4) Will all routes and trains be found in the same menu or will the preserved collection be put in a separate place in the game.
5) will we be getting new/more profiles to use than the current 8?
I actually don’t remember when, but I can say that they most likely won’t add it, unless they end up surprising us, but I can 90% assure you that Matt said no LZB in the route.
Ur right, I rewatched the stream and there’s no news on LZB. I guess the most logical reasoning here is there’s not gonna be any LZB in the route, unless DTG surprises us. Other than that I don’t think so.
That is not true about PS4 games. Not all PS4 games will be playable on PS5. Sony are saying that the majority of the top 100 PS4 games will be compatible at launch and after that the number of PS4 games that will run on PS5 is likely to increase. There is a stipulation that PS4 games that are submitted for release after mid July have to be playable on PS5, anything submitted before that doesn’t have to. I believe that the timing of the release of TSW2 may be in order to avoid having to make it compatible with PS5. I could be wrong about that but unless DTG say for certain that it will be compatible then it is safest to assume it won’t be. I don’t know anything about Xbox.
All Xbox consoles have been backwards compatible with the games released for the console before it. That means TSW 2020 will be compatible with the Xbox series x, TSW 2 is scheduled to launch for Xbox one on August 6 2020, and the next Xbox is scheduled to launch in December 2020, and, since they’re all backwards compatible, TSW 2 must be able to work on Xbox series x, which, with that, u can still play TSW 2020 and TSW 2 on the Xbox Series x, along with other games released for consoles before it. Microsoft has never limited the games that are backwards compatible with the latest Xbox when it’s announced, so this leads me to think that TSW 2 will work on Xbox Series X.
Wait, what, there will not be announcements, are you kidding me? Then World of Subways from 2011 (The Circle line) is better than a brand new trainsim from 2020. How can you drive a subway train without announcements? It's just one of the most important things arrgggh my heart aches!
I'm so angry mate, how you do a LU route with no announcements???? Even the WOS 3 cicle line had them , virtual district line on TS classic has them , so why TSW 2 the "the future of Train simulation" (Lol) can't have them!!!
Yea, I also wish TSW had announcements at stations and inside trains, but unfortunately DTG decided not to bring them in this “next generation of railway simulation”. The least I can do is hope they’ll do it for the future versions of TSW, which I really hope they do, if not then I’ll start to get disappointed at DTG.
I find it odd that there won’t be announcements on the Bakerloo route. Maybe an explanation as to why there aren’t any will be forthcoming in the Q&A stream for that route.
Been wondering this myself, could be a issue to where they can’t get permission to use the Original Announcer’s voice in the game.
The virtual district team were able to use announcements for their latest scenario pack, the announcements are recordings from the actual voice artist.
So I don't think this is an issue.
Will the games you got with the base game for example rapid transit north eastern corridor be able to play on TSW 2
Already answered in the previous stream and on the website. www.trainsimworld.com
See "Preserved collection"
Yes as all dlc purchased in TSW is what’s known as the Preserved collection so all you would need to do is redownload you tsw add ons for free in tsw2 although you will have to start from scratch as owing to fact tsw/tsw2 are separate games you cannot transfer route progress from tsw into tsw2
Will the scenario planner allow us to do round trips? Like a full shift going back and forth between terminals?
Yes it’s for whatever you wish to do so you can do as much or as little as you wish
How does it work?. If tsw2 is a separate dlc then how will the preserved routes from tsw 2020 run on tsw2?.
TSW2 isn't a doc it's a completely different game, it Carries across old routes using cross - game -colloberation.
U will be able to re download ur routes and any dlc u already bought for TSW 2020 for TSW 2, at no additional cost. So, when you get the new game, just redownload ur dlc into the game, idk how exactly that will work but DTG only said that. And yes, u will have 2 copies of the same dlc if u decide to keep TSW 2020 with you.
LZB is fonctionnal
For ICE 3 is double unite or one unite
TSW2 is the game engine. It has no content. The preserved collection will be add on DLCs which will be downloaded for that engine. All fo the preserved DLC will be on Steam etc as two versions, one for TSW1 and one for TSW2, the difference being when you buy a license for one of them DTG will give you the license for both. This was stated in the TSW2 release stream
will they be modlelling the cathedrals at koln and aachen. im asking this because they seem to not model landmarks on route. for instance the dunster castle on WSR. the steam shed at bishops lyderd on WSR. the famous C.I.S building in manchester. there are others but i wont go on lol.
Amex, yes the LZB is functional, depending on realism there should only be single units.
Take a look for yourself, and tell me if that’s the answer to ur question.
Amex, oui le LZB est fonctionnel, selon le réalisme il ne devrait y avoir que des unités individuelles. [/ QUOTE]
Le Talent 2 sur la route Cologne-Aix-la-Chapelle a-t-il des affichages de destination? [/ QUOTE]
I have a question related to Bakerloo line and it’s this In real life the services that terminate at Queen’s Park go into the depot then change points then back into Queen’s Park station ready to take up return working is this accurately recreated in tsw2 for the services that only go to Queen’s Park ?
Sophieclarke1983 they should be, although it's worth noting not all services do it in this way. In some cases the driver simply walks down the platform to the other end.
Yea I was thinking about your reply and it reminds me of Worksop train station is Bassetlaw one end of the Robin Hood line the other end being Nottingham train station and there the trains come in on platform 2 and this has bi direction signalling and it’s only in the evenings the train goes over the level crossing just past signal box to a loop that allows Sheffield trains to pass then comes back over crossing into opposite platform to head towards Mansfield and Nottingham
Will there be full keyboard and mouse support for Xbox 1 in TSW 2?
Will TSW2 have more in depth tutorials on things like the safety systems. I feel like you either know or you have to guess currently
They have Online Manuals Explaining the Safety Systems.
