And if that is remotely true, it's no wonder routes are getting released in a poor state time and time again
Could it be that maybe all those issues are brought forward and that’s why maybe you sometimes get an update just days after is released.
And just to be clear, I’m in no way a beta tester or an ambassador. I have been bringing issues for months, videos, pictures, have they fixed them. Nope……
When a release date is set. Unless is a big issue the game gets release. That’s the nature of the game.
True. But routes like NY-Trenton prove why perhaps a bit more time would be a good thing. Bad reviews will drive people away from buying a product
Agree Agree 100%. Trust me I have been very vocal about NYT. About the timetable and bugs. All I can hope is that soon after TSW4 is released we get a proper NYT route
Here it is: https://epicdatainfo.vercel.app/offers?category=applications&sortBy=5&seller=Dovetail Games
alright, will try that, i’ve waited for about 5 minutes previously and nothing happened. hopefully i can get it to work eventually
What new can actually come to TSW4. Because they won't bring URE5 to the game or station announcements. Plus I feel like we haven't got a lot with TSW3 like MML full of glitches and stuff. If TSW4 routes are full of glitches on release and bugs it will be very disappointing.
Am I the only person who feels like the ambassadors know a lot more then us like TSW4 and stuff? Edit: well will have more news next week on TSW4 and things aka the Roadmap.
Probably something like "In TSW 4 you will see rainbows in the skies and the passengers now can wear sunglasses, that's it folks you can start pre ordering the 28th "
I'm thinking a career mode is a likely new feature. The current points & medals system just isn't good.
Matt said something about rebuilding the passenger system using new UE tools a few weeks ago. Wouldn't be surprised if this is included.
Smithfield (the market) is incredibly close to Farringdon station, and is recorded as being part of ‘Farringdon Without’. Farringdon is a Thameslink station with services through the core and likely sees lots of AC powered 700/0 vehicles…. Farringdon is also an Elizabeth Line station, and a tube station hosting Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City lines https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smithfield,_London
Interesting! Is there more information on what we can expect from these new UE tools? If only the passengers were really improved I already would buy it just for that. I would not even care if the entire budget went to passengers only. Let's hope it's not some farce like the caps and umbrellas in TSW 3.
IIRC he said something about programming the passengers as a crowd instead of many individual NPCs. My guess is that they would have better performance and probably not create as many bottlenecks while trying to board the trains. PS: Please keep in mind this is what I expect if the passengers are updated, and NOT any kind of promise by Matt or DTG.
Where did you get that from Central Europe? So I think we'll find out next week, maybe on August 3rd, that's my birthday. So the only things that come to mind for Central Europe are Dresden, Prague, Freiburg, Basel, Dreiländereck and Munich, Salzburg or where you can think of, Munich Innsbruck is also possible
After a couple of days being disconnected from the outside world coming back to this seems quite interesting. My understanding of thaat whole Epic/Steam DB is next to nothing but why would they all have smithfield in front as they aren't all going to be British DLC and why choose Smithfield as the name. I feel this could just be a few coincidences which combined with Flying Scotsman and wishful thinking has fixed peoples minds on a TSW4. If I have totally misunderstood the situation do please inform me as I am saying this as a layman.
Not unusual for projects to have internal "code-names" that mean nothing (sometimes just a random word or an incremental first letter like what Android did for each new version from Cupcake through to Pie). It allows for file and project structures to be created long before final product names are decided on, in this case it could be that DTG were uncertain as to whether they want to market it as TSW4 or rather as an update to TSW3 (like Rush Hour) or ditch the numbering system entirely.
Maybe it's not next week because Tuesday is the 1st August and therefore Dtg would not have enough time to gather very much info to put in the roadmap, it wouldn't be the first roadmap to release on the second Tuesday of the month instead of the first.
Tbf I have noticed that that the road map does happen on the 1st of the month will normally be delayed till the week after so that might be it will just have to wailfor Friday next week
Well they could announce it on the 8 August and then it’s two weeks until pre orders which makes sense. That could be why it’s not next week (the roadmap). If it is definitely TSW4 I hope it has add on manager from the start. Can’t deal with that again
Smithfield is also a location in Snowrunner...All hail our new Focus overlords :p Jokes aside I would like to see some crossover
So will TSW4 be a free upgrade to TSW4 like TSW 2020 or will it be once again a new Git branch from TSW2 calling it a new game?
The ambassadors are players who don’t slag the game off, even when it warrants it and essentially keep schtum on the criticism front for the free codes to keep sliding over. DTG aren’t stupid, it’s a very cheap way to market upcoming content but the propaganda machine is overwhelming around route release time.
Not true in the slightest way. There is no dictation by DTG what to say in the videos. I know that, as I am one. And in my videos and streams i'm not shy of criticism. For example every time I drive the 187 or when the AFB bug appears, i do mention that. Just two of many examples. I think people value honest opinions. And that's why DTG never dictates to their ambassadors what opinion they should have. Also don't forget, that people are still allowed to actually enjoy the game
