Hello everyone! Just listing some announcements that were a bit hidden and not prominently talked about in the reveal stream: Class 66 included with ECML DB Freight Loco and Vectron scenario included with Vorarlberg “Cinematic Moments” feature (unique views with music) Kassel-Würzburg gets new TSW4 OHLE Dresden-Riesa gets new timetable (correction by JD: only new Vectron services will be added) DB Red BR 628 spotted in livestream HUD now features graph with all upcoming signals and speed limits in upper right All TOD4 routes get volumetric fog (source: DTG Liam on Discord) You should all read the FAQ and the TSW4 post in the DTG live section of the forums, some interesting bits hidden in there. Cheers
We'll talk a little more about this in Thursday's Roadmap article. Couple of other little surprises we have for you for today's Part 1 too. Not ground-shatterers, but nice QoL improvements nonetheless.
The option to adjust track distance render quality to stop the annoying pop in on the ballast, just in front of the train would be the best QOL option. Even an option in the INI file will do.
Dresden - Riesa is getting a new timetable, really? I thought they were just modifying it to include the Vectron, not making an entire new timetable. I’m very surprised, but happy
I think someone is getting confused here. The Vectron will get a timetable for DRA (as all locos do). There isn’t a whole new timetable for the entirety of DRA.
Do you happen to have a timestamp from the stream for sighting the BR628? We can't ignore the possibility that it's just an AI layer that you only unlock when you have Dresden-Chemnitz installed Forget what I wrote, I confused the BR628 with the BR 612.
One thing I noticed, the ICE1 was also on one of the Pictures of the Vectron. I assume that the Vectron will also be layered on the Kassel-Würzburg Timetable (and probably on a lot of other German routes that have freight services).
Red 628 is a bonus extra coming with a Niddertalbahn update that is layered onto the Vorarlberg timetable. Matt.
I would also like to know if the lighting exposure problems and the headlights on US locomotives have been adjusted/fixed to where you can actually see with them!
so will we be able to select it on Niddertalbahn too? :0 And also for Voralbergbahn: Will we also get IC services or only freight and S-Bahn? Can’t wait for this route, looks gorgeous!
JD is ok . you don't have to worry about leaking TSW4 anymore.. The pressure is off you can spill the beans now about whats coming.
This is from DTG’s forum post over in the live article section: “The home for the Vectron is an upgraded version of the hugely popular Nahverkehr Dresden – Riesa route Add-on, complete with a new timetable, volumetric skies, TOD4 lighting and the full set of Train Sim World 4 features.”
Oh this is very exciting! In rural southern Germany where I live, the Südostbayernbahn still uses red BR 628s on many of the quiet lines. Will be amazing to have that livery in the game!
Wow, I did not expect that. Hopefully it’s not just incorrect wording, and DRA really is getting a new timetable
Hi JD, I just want to check, is it correct that Dresden - Riesa is getting a full new timetable, or has it just been modified to include the Vectron - one of the descriptions for TSW4 says that DRA will receive a full new timetable, but this wasn’t mentioned yesterday, so I just want to make sure
+1 for the DRA timetable clarification, I just read that same paragraph. there’s conflicting information now all sourced from DTG.
Probably something a bit like slo-mo kill shots in Red Dead Redemption; when you hit certain marks in a scenario, then you get a cinematic camera view. Likely just in time to make you miss a PZB acknowledgment.......
I believe it's adding Vectron services, rather than a new timetable. Can you send me through the paragraph you've seen please? We might be able to make that a little clearer if so.
We did mention it via the reveal yesterday, but to share it again: Now that everyone has access to the 8F (and also the 323) via the Training Center, you can use free roam mode and put it on any route you like - so now everyone with Train Sim World 4 will have the ability to drive steam locos even without additional steam add-ons. We've just released Part 1 of the TSW4 Roadmap talking more about some of these features, and Part two will follow tomorrow: https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/tsw4-roadmap-part1-23rd-august
I really like the new character dioramas and characters, will add a lot to the atmosphere and busyness of the stations. I hope they are animated and some can move around. Maybe one day some audio can be added to them. I Hope to continue to see this added to going forward.
I think we've seen a lot of them already. There were a few moments cockpits and bodywork were shown in a sort of Gran Turismo style of graphics. If that are the cinematic moments I welcome them. Improvements to presentation are always welcome.
After another rewatch also noticed we will be getting another lot of new Logos for the livery designer also.
