I wouldn't expect anything but this from DTG. But my expectations from them have been low anyways since TSW3. That way I'm never dissappointed.
Personally, I think Colchester would be the first logical end point for the GEML after Shenfield (the latter of which would be depressingly short). A fair amount of Intercity services don't stop at Chelmsford, and there's a fair amount of freight that stops at the goods loop in Colchester. I think a Colchester endpoint should include Colchester Town, for that 'complete' service. But yeah, Ipswich would be my hope too... and the Felixstowe branch. If they really did the unthinkable and cut short at Shenfield, I'd hope they'd add a little extra to the route, Orient Way CS and the Liberty Line are the only relevant options, though, I think.
Right from the East Midlands website. So its 3 stations. Also all 3 have separate postal codes if they were the same property it would be the same. Argument over.
I’d love to see the Woodhead route in game.BR blue era precisely with br class 76/77. Everything else BR blue era can layer in 37,47s ect. Be interesting to see Sheffield Victoria in its heyday before her sad demise
There’s no argument to have and I will continue to address it as King’s Cross St Pancras and I will still consider it as one main station hub. If that causes you and your compatriots such disdain and need to prove which one of you is more right than any other, I couldn’t give a flying fig! Instead of continuing to gaslight this topic in a desperate attempt who to prove who is right and who is wrong, have an evening off and go and play with your train sim.
Seems the only person here in disdain is you considering you're the only one being offensive to people. Probably because you know you're wrong but are desperately trying to "win" this stupid "argument"
Here you are again after recharging your batteries! Like that annoying buzz from that mosquito you never quite manage to squat! No one is trying to win an argument, who’d have thought how one person chooses to address a London station would get this much attention. It’s pathetic. You’ve all completely highjacked a thread with this need to chirp up and have your 10 cents worth. You’re like a broken record no Keep posting and I’ll keep reminding you, I will refer to it as I like! I will refer to it as King’s Cross St Pancras, I will consider it one major transport hub in London. Get over yourself, go and eat your sausage rolls, check every TOC’s definition, ask Siri or Chat GPT or phone a friend. I couldn’t really give a hoot!
Personal insults to people are always a sign of weakness and someone who is not confident in ones self. I'm sorry for the trauma you have gone through in life. I hope it gets better.
hahahaha hilarious! Let’s get one thing straight my anonymous compatriot, I am not weak nor am I under-confident. Thanks for your diagnosis though Doctor ……next…..
A lecture about bed times is a bit rich coming from someone who's being throwing insults around like a 12 year old
Back again, honestly, keep continuing and this thread will get locked which is a real shame for the creator.
I think it would be pretty interesting in terms of stock, especially as we already have the majority of it in-game (IETs, HSTs, 165 (if it runs that far west) 158s, 150s, 66s) and people are speculating a Voyager to come so let us include it for the sake of it. It won't be as jam-packed as WCML:South but not a quiet timetable either. Maybe close to Peterborough - Doncaster? I'll have a look at the 2024 WTT for you tomorrow.
Your actions prove you are since not being able to control your emotions and lashing out at people is a sign of weakness. If you were strong you would ignore and move on like I'm doing to you. Click done. It's sad, there is better help nowadays
Ignoring is replying is it? Never did like a baked potato, always found they repeat on me, who’d have thought a user a train sim forum could come with the same side effects? Perhaps you might want to tap into that help that you so fondly speak about, while I have a glug of Gaviscon
Now lets see some more predictions people since I can't see that trolls posts anymore. I'm curious to see who is right
And again….but couldn’t use his imagination for something original, maybe if you behave yourself and be quiet you May get a Tee tee
Folks, it's Thursday night, and I'm sure you can find better things to do than argue about semantics on the internet. I'll close this thread for now to let tempers cool down and potentially reopen it at a later point. For now, please remember to stay kind and respectful in your interactions here. All the best, Jan
Moving things swiftly back on topic, my final consideration for the TSW6 route pack are as follows: UK - Exeter to Paignton Riviera Line, plus Newton Abbot to Plymouth to round out the mileage as the first section, while scenic, is relatively short. New train will be a GWR Cucumber with bonus a Cross Country 220/221. Germany - assuming it is Germany and not Austria or Holland, I’m actually going with Berlin S-Bahn with both the Ringbahn and “Heart” sections as featured in TSC. Two types of train, one will be with the route the other as DLC. USA - still going with Florida, SunRail out of Miami to somewhere. Not sure on trains but something core to the passenger operations and maybe DLC of the MP15 from Caltrain, reskinned (assuming it sees any use by operators on those lines). Now to sit back and find I probably got 0/3 right on the above.
I really hope you got 2/3 right. Anything that goes through either Newton Abbot or Berlin and I'll buy it in the hope that it's decent. Apart from that I really can't think of much more I want, I have so much other DLC now. Maybe something around either Salisbury, Worcester or Sheffield might catch my eye for the UK as I've lived in all 3. I'm really more interested in what new trains we get and not so much the routes.
Didn't they say Berlin was off the table? I'd like a route out of Sheffield, personally. Got a few options there too. Whilst I don't think they'd do Hope Valley to Manchester Picadilly so soon after MAC, (Plus that'd be 3 routes into/out of Picadilly), they could chose to go towards Derby, Nottingham, Lincoln, Doncaster or Leeds
Three of those would be MML so unlikely I'd think Doncaster would be rather short, its only like 3 miles away (yes this is an exaggeration, sue me) Lincoln/towards Worksop would be interesting
I haven't a clue about what's coming on Tuesday, but, as far as the US route is concerned ( if there is one ), I fervently hope that it's not another part of the NEC or Mami- West Palm Beach or yet another Metrolink commuter route. I would be over the Moon if it is a freight route and, at this point I don't care where it is.
Just to throw my hat in the ring with more of a wishlist than predictions UK - Chiltern Mainline: London Marylebone - Banbury/Oxford Bit of a longer idea and not really a big UK mainline but would be my dream route in game EU - Geneve Aeroport - Martigny Again quite far but a route I travelled on earlier this month and as it follows around the lake it would be such a beautiful view US - I have much knowledge on US routes but I hear the cries for a freight route. Maybe another rogue shout could be a Mexican route using the HSTs? Definitely in dreamland with these three routes
I live from around this area and would love to shed some light on this. If we were to get a route from Exeter - Plymouth with the Paignton branch, generally most of GWRs rolling stock run on this bit. GWR's 800 series, 158, 150, and 166 all run on this route as well as CX Voyagers. There is a variety of service patterns with most IETs doing fast runs from Paddington - Plymouth or Penzance that stop at only a handful of stations of the route. Occasionally, some IETs go down to Paignton and stop at some stations intermediate on the route. If the route was set just a few years ago, DTG could include the Castle Class sets that went from Cardiff - Penzance, stopping at a few stations on route. Generally there are a mix of 150s, 158s, and 166s doing local commuter services from Paignton and Exmouth, but you do get the odd service coming up or going down to Plymouth and Penzance, but generally only in the morning or late evening. I know I'm getting greedy but if DTG were to add in Exeter Central station too which is only a stones throw away from St Davids, they could add in the Barnstaple and Okehampton services ran by class 150s and 158s that terminate at Exeter Central. That way, there is some turn back action as well for those who like that. Overall, I think it could make for a really interesting timetable if this was the core route.
In terms of US content, I usually only really like exclusively UK content, however there are a few exceptions like LIRR, Boston to Worcester, NEC that I do like and appeal to me. However I would love to see part of the Brightline routes with high speed running.
Don't know why, but I've been thinking that at least one of the three core routes will be historic! Rail 200 year, of course! Maybe not steam based, but something classic diesel. Seems likely that one could be the UK... And remain skeptical about US route presence this year, unfortunately... Let's hope, but as always, keep your expectations low, guys! PS. That ambassador who said "some of you will be happy" really opened my mind... Maybe classic rail enthusiasts? Fingers crossed!
Fair point about Sheffield to Doncaster, to be honest towards Lincoln would be my personal preference over the other options having travelled between Worksop and Sheffield a few times Fair point
That looks like my local commuter line. No wonder I spill my coffee almost every morning and my beer in the afternoon. They've been laying new ties recently though, that should improve the ride.
