I tried putting the pak. file for my GWR Pannier Tank engine in TSW7 and even though it was made with the TSW6 Editor it -and the included West Somerset scenario - seemed to work fine in the new game except for a couple of things.

The custom HUD I made for the loco is not visible and replaced by the minimal one in the top left.

Although this is fine for driving does any body know what I should change in the Settings menu to get the custom HUD to show up (as it did in TSW6).

    Thanks

Apart from checking that your custom HUD is specified in the HUD section of your RVD (assuming that that hasn't changed with TDW7,) I'm not sure what to suggest.

Thanks. I have checked the RVD - which is correct - and the pak. file is exactly the same as the one I uploaded to TSC.

When I released the original "beta" version of the loco people asked for a HUD as they said they couldn't tell how fast they were going.
Now I have all the info - speed, speed limit, gradient, track monitor etc. etc. on screen but my custom HUD with Boiler pressure and Brake levels has gone.

I think there might be something in the game settings HUD/ Driver Assist ? which is blocking it.

    UPDATE
I found the answer by fiddling with a Peak Forest Railway scenario.
In the Settings menu there is an Accessibility Tab and in there is a setting for HUD type.

This can be set to "OFF" "MINIMAL" (which was the default setting) "SIMPLE" and "STANDARD".

Setting to "STANDARD" restored my custom HUD and the old style steam locomotive "speedometer" design in the Peak Forest Railway.
