Been doing some experimenting on GWE this evening. Wondering if anything can be done to make the horns consistent, having trains fade in and out rather than hit with a block of sound when passing. Based on info that on UE4 there are limited sound channels. I would think this is only worthwhile in GWE, as Imo sound effects are fine and ambient noises add more value on WSR RSR etc (ie waves and seagulls on wsr). I turned the ambient effects off altogether in the game menu to maybe give the train effects less competition when loading. The horn now works properly everytime its pressed. Oncoming trains dont just hit 200yrds away with the sound of heavy metal rolling on track, they fade in better with the engine heard 1st followed by the thunder of the trailing load. I think its greatly improved, or maybe Im hearing what I want to hear, give it a try.
