My question is when using a keyboard to them on why does it turn some on and then the others off and vice versa. So you have get uo and do the manually.

Yeah, it's a bit random what is assigned to each key with UK locos/trains, but I usually do CTRL + Enter, Shift + Enter, Shift + ' and it usually activates everything ok

Is this on a specific train? I seem to remember that on the class 166 you turn some fuses on and some others (which are already on) off. Most of the time it's just ctrl-enter and shift-enter to enable AWS/TPWS and Vigilance/DSD.

I never knew you could use keyboard commands to turn safety systems on and off. :D

I always just turn around and turn the switches on manually adds to the immersion IMO.

most of the time I do this too. I mostly reserve keyboard use for services where you have to activate the safety systems in the other cab, with not enough setup time in the service.

Edit: anyway, real immersion would be to have the safety systems on by default :)

The 801 used to work properly, but a patch broke it so you have to get up and do it manually.
Never had to use shift ' before; didn't know about it.

all the 800 series,, you can not heard anything unless you look 90 degrees from the way the train is going,

So unless you do not want to see anything, in front of the train, then you can not use the safety systems

Well, it must be a personal issue because I've never had an issue witht he 80x trains. Do AWS sounds go somewhere else on PC?

all the sounds for every train and trainset goes to the speaker
better yet if I turn the view to 90 degrees either side from the front of the train, I can hear the safety systems, but then I have no idea where i am going
