Welcome to the Unofficial Screenshot Competition
This is a fun and friendly alternative to the official Screenshot Competition run by DTG.
Here you can share your weekly themed TSC screenshots using any 3rd party / post shot editing etc. creations which are not allowed in the official competition.
    Rules:
    • TSC only shots allowed.
    • Screenshot should be in some way (can be very tenuous) linked to the theme. Otherwise anything goes.
    • You can enter up to 3 screenshots, posted as separate posts. You can delete and replace if you wish.
    • 3rd party content / Reshades / Reskins etc. are welcomed but are not mandatory.
    • Previous week's winner to decide winner (can't enter themselves).
    • The winner chooses the new theme for next week (and becomes the new judge).
    • The Judge of the week's decision is final.
    • We strongly discourage any negative comment or criticism of another entry by a fellow contributor, this is a light hearted & fun contest! This is a major "we are all friendly" thread and we hope it will always remain so.
    • Please keep chat to an absolute minimum.
Entries will close at 9:00 PM BST on Friday, June 14th 2024 and will be judged by me - Blazin
In the event of this weeks winner not responding by 5:00 PM BST Sunday, June 16th, a new thread will be created using the theme with the highest votes in this weeks poll.

Theme for this week: Something Rare / One of a Kind
Feel free to interpret the theme however you wish.
Good luck to all, but most importantly, remember to have fun.

A rare winter railtour sees LSL loco 45231 'The Sherwood Forester' thundering up the single line from Felixstowe towards Ipswich with a shortened Riviera Trains Mk1 rake. Fellow LSL loco 46100 'Royal Scot' was tailing the lineup.

Screenshot_Portsmouth Direct Line - London Waterloo to Portsmouth_51.48718--0.12240_16-48-39.jpg The wonderful Class 442 'Wessex Electrics' or Plastic Pigs as they were lovingly referred to, are sadly now a thing of the past, being scraped from 2020-2022. Arguably the best trains in the modern era to operate in the Southern Region, they are now consigned to history. These units really were one of a kind. Seen here passing the Houses of Parliament north of Vauxhall station.

Loco: Class 442 (AP) + VP SWR Pack
Route: Portsmouth Direct Line: London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour
Mods: RW Enhancer 2, AP Sky & Weather Pack 2.0, JDDEV RW Enhancer Preset

20240613181112_1.jpg 18 505 resplendent in it's purple livery to match the beautiful Mitropa DR Rheingold train it is hauling.
I just love the way the folks on the path are completely oblivious to this wonderful spectacle just yards away from them.

A rare sight for the workers at Rugeley Power Station as the all new Avanti liveried Bi-mode 805 set passes by. Makes a change from the endless Class 390 pendolinos that are usually the norm.
    Loco:- AP Class 805
    Route:- WCML Trent Valley.

    Time for the results!!

In 3rd place we have Craigie-C with this gorgeous screenshot of a lovely purple German steam locomotive. The lovely lighting looks amazing on this train!
    3rd Place.jpg
In 2nd place is cscarpenter with this awesome "whole train" shot of a trial run! I find it hard to pull off high aerial shots and getting them to look good in this game but you have definitely pulled it off very well here! 2nd Place.jpg
In 1st place is trainsandgames with this fantastic shot on the fictional North Somerset heritage railway! I really like the composition of this shot and the detail of both the train and surrounding scenery, it's excellent. I also really like the "rare" about this being train is that it's the only surviving Class 40 member to be vacuum braked. You have to do some in depth research and know your stuff to know about that!! Well done!
1st Place.jpg Thank you to the participants of this week I enjoyed all submissions! Looking forward to the contest you get to run trainsandgames !
