TSW6 is definately the most realistic rail sim I've played, but one of the things that really breaks the realism for me and rest of the community a lot is that there is a lack of variety for locos. I know the sd60m is in development, but some extra dlc's should be added, specifically mainline engines, because we have plenty of 4 axle engines already, gp38, 40, mp15, f40, but there is only the gevo, sd40-2 and sd70ace f9r mainline power. A classic UP rebuild like the sd59mx would be perfect for the UP routes, sherman hill and others, but also for san bernidino, as bnsf and up share trackage rights, and UP locals and mainline trains frequently go through the area and serve the industries there. The SD59 can be used as both a mainline engine and local power, showing its versatility. There arn't many unique freight engines for US routes, the sd59 is a great option. Its a modern loco that would sell great for US customers, and I would love to hear from you guys what you think. Sd60M would also be a good option, but currently it's being phased out of mainline operation.
UP rosters 28 SD59MXs (also called SD59M-2s or SD32ECOs). They are formerly UP SD60Ms. They features 12-Cylinder 710 Prime Movers. The SD59MX pack should include #9900, which is UP's modified Tier 3.5 unit that they built to test Tier 4 Compliance. I agree that we need more modern freight power in game. Also with the SD59MX, we should get UP cement hoppers, intermodal well cars, new autoracks, boxcars, and other modern rolling stock.
