Just downloaded an update about 201 MB. Cant fathom what its for no thread on the usual section of the forum, fired up WSR as I know something has been cooking for that and the first train I watch departs the wrong way with the engine propelling at Blue Anchor....?

Its only the implementation for Glasgow Cathcart, no other DLCs have been updated.

Yes it was. Sam said during the East Coastway challenge it would come with either Cathcart or the 313 so I was hopeful it would be today.

In other news, Rivet are also taking an age with their updates. The broken timetable on Arosa hasn’t been fixed since March.

And then the 313 was pushed back and on the roadmap stream last week they said they wanted to push out the ECW PIS update, but it was unlikely to be out before Cathcart, which isn't released til Thursday
If they do push the update out (which to my mind should have been months ago) it's more likely to be around RH, even though this wouldn't make that much sens given they would have to revisit to get it working on UE4.26 which isn't released until RH anyway

In what way have they stuffed up? Or this just another DTG = bad, with no explanation.

Wow nice and now? Post it to Rivet, this isn´t an offical Arosa Thread, so it hasn´t anything to do with updates. Wrong Thread.

What's that got to do with the post??? Why not create a post specific to that query so it gets properly answered

The ECW update may wait until the 313 has been completed and ready for release. As they mentioned in the Roadmap stream release all of that together.

There will be something at some point today in the Announcements thread, this is likely for GCC releasing this week.

Is this the standard update fever that infects people on a Tuesday afternoon and then clears up later the same day when Dr. Natalie administers medicine in the form of some update notes? It seems to happen with every update these days.

This is because DTG don't put notes out BEFORE releasing things... They knew at 9am this morning what was being released but for some reason don't release the notes until after half the forum start the download

Today there won't be any update notes alongside the update, it was a routine update to get us ready for the Cathcart Release. No fixes to share.

I personally think a notice saying "Nothing much going on here, only doing x,y,z" is better than nothing and then a minor response deep in a post somewhere...
    Maybe just me though

DTG should add a list of changes and fixes once you’ve downloaded INSIDE the game, upon launch. Similar to what Discord does once updated.

Doesn't really matter whether it's inside or outside, but some notification would be better than nothing (or a footnote somewhere else)

As you are on the forum, you can subscribe to the announcements forum and get notified of all new threads. That's how I find out.

In the game they could put a Patch Notes somewhere in Dovetail Live feed as news article.

Given that the vast majority of users don't use the forum (or even know if exists in some cases), I agree that they should make everyone aware by some form of notification. Even a DTL article would be better than nothing...

I have my doubts if that's ever going to change as not even the few existing manuals are linked in the game...

That's not really the point. there are official communication channels (and unofficial ones too) so if a patch it released there should be something to say what it does (even if only to kill speculation)
Doesn't mean it has to be every channel, I'm sure people here would link to it soon enough

I agree, every patch should have some form of notes made public, but I also believe it should be done in a way that is obvious for all players not just those that read the forum. Most games I play either have patch notes on Steam, or give patch notes when you start the game.

Most games and software I have has a "really obvious EULA"... I've never read it.
There are already four things I click through every time the game loads that I never even look at, adding in another one with "this is what we may have messed with this week" won't make me stop and read it ;)

    That's not quite true.
Sand Patch Grade was updated again:
    • Modified file – WindowsNoEditor/Engine/Binaries/Win64/CrashReportClient.exe
    • Modified file – WindowsNoEditor/Manifest_DebugFiles_Win64.txt
    • Modified file – WindowsNoEditor/Manifest_NonUFSFiles_Win64.txt
    • Modified file – WindowsNoEditor/TS2Prototype/Binaries/Win64/TS2Prototype-Win64-Shipping.exe (-17.35 MiB)
    • Modified file – WindowsNoEditor/TS2Prototype/Content/Paks/TS2Prototype-WindowsNoEditor-SandPatchGrade-coredata.pak (-40.00 KiB)
    • Modified file – WindowsNoEditor/TS2Prototype/Content/Paks/TS2Prototype-WindowsNoEditor.pak (+989.66 KiB)
    • Manifest ID changed – 1671540096104337300663455912853185715
    Train Sim World 2 - DLC 43 (1490112) DepotDepot 1490112
Something must have changed for it to have been patched, and I'm sure it has nothing to do with the Cathcart route/release?
